That's literally why Mobile Suits are popular in the first place. Because of the limbs, especially when linked with AMBAC, Mobile Suits are far more agile than jet fighters.
well, saberfish is actually good space fighter, but that thing are design to lock enemy with radar before the enemy can see it and its got poor dogfight capability. so its not surprising if saberfish become useless when its main sensor get jamed by zaku
What's tragic about the Saberfish is that they were let down by Federation tactics, not technology. You can tell the pilots' training emphasized close passes at gun range, rather than sitting back and volley firing rockets, which these things were fully capable of doing. Even with Minovsky jamming, I bet that would have been effective en masse.
One reason I could think of is its main weapon is the missile, which becomes very not affective under Makovsky particles at long range. That's probably the reason why they have to get up close to the MS.
@@GuncannonThat's true, but I'm pretty sure Saberfish missiles aren't guided to begin with. You could still sit back in a formation and fire a curtain of ordinance in a straight line, and I bet you could catch a couple of Zakus that way before you were chased off.
The funny thing is in girhens greed these are very effective early to early-mid game. This as a blocking/ intercepter wall with capital ship fire support wins earth orbit
