Just got mine last saturday. Ready to maiden when weather is better. Only My 2nd plane so ill start off on Safe for first few flights until im ready to fly full manual Easy to build and set up. Careful that the flying stab leading edge is aligned with little slot indent on fuse.

My favorite airplane as I got my private pilots license on a Cherokee.

That's a beautiful bird. Maybe the best I've seen from Eflite. At least just for the aesthetics.

I have the previous version of the Cherokee, and I clocked a peak speed of 77.4 MPH on my GPS data logger. It'd be interesting to see if the upgraded electronics gives any boost in the top end. I'm running an aftermarket prop on mine (the prop that came with it was drilled crooked), and IIRC, I was running a 4S 3000 mAh battery on that run. My Cherokee has the wingtip and tail lights as well, though since I rarely fly in anything but full daylight, the lights are barely noticeable in flight.

Hey Nate and Abby, when will you fly this again? I'd love to see more of your setup and how Abby flies it...she flew the older red one on a prior video. Some FPV style or at least a camera on the plane would be great to see. I love mine but there are not many videos of it out there. I do have a lot of videos on my channel.

you need an anti-servo tab on that stabilator. It's not just there for trim adjustment, it also protects against flutter

The tires made a lot of noise when you landed. Are the wheels rubber or foam? Maybe it was just the wheel pants making the noise.

Hi like your channel my wife got me a drone for Christmas and Christmas Day I waned to fly it. And it just happened to be you were flying a drone that day. I learn a lot. When I was young I used to fly planes that used gas and two string on the wings and I went round and around.

They need to make all planes with gryo as a feature nowadays so anyone can fly their planes at any skill level. Don't get me wrong,it's awesome to see the ability of a pilot through raw flight experience but as far as for a selling point I think many more planes would sell if they all came standard with gyro for beginner mode. The eachine war birds are winning in that part of the market and getting many more people excited about flying👍🏻

Hey Nate and Abby, and Happy Birthday Daniel! I love the looks and upgrades of this Cherokee! I had the old red version of the Cherokee on my wish list. but it took a back seat because of negative reviews regarding the front gear and lo-clearance prop because I fly off grass. Now I can say this plane is back on the list and can't wait to get one! Hey, on a side subject, I'm curious what you're going to do when the remote ID law comes into effect in March? I'm assuming your little airstrip has not been designated as a FRIA. Blessings to you and your family!

How do you compare this to the red and white Cirrus? I'm on the fence as I like both.

I loce the Cherokee 140. I got my Pvt Pilot Cert in N8346R at the Barksdale AFB, LA way back a Millenia ago. My first personal airplane was N1800T, a Cherokee 140 and my second was N376JS a PA28-161. Lots time in them both... Happy Birthday by the way. And how are your lessons progressing?

PS: Got a few hours of A&P time on Cherokees, both mine and other owners' plane.

I owned a real Cherokee a few decades ago before this country was destroyed. Was a 1967 model PA-28 140. If I could afford it I'd get one of those, but cost and shipping to Canada would more than double the price.

What's improved about it? I had the red one, last generation. Not seeing anything new or improved but hoping you can correct me!

A stabilator is not conducive for good aerobatics. Basic Acro only. This is true in the real plane. The Cessna Cardinal, C-177, was not certified for spins. Ask me how I know 🙂 For good Acro you need a stabilisor and elevator. 🙂

Too bad you can't buy these things as kits and undecorated. It's impossible to strip off the existing paint to then decorate it with a different colour scheme to match, for example, the full scale Cherokee I once owned.

like the plane not the foam tires 🛞 need to be made out of rubber not aerosol foam. Balsa might be too expensive so get smarter why not like the deck of a house. make fake wood. Has the weight n feel of it. True they could do kits or ready to fly. Second nitro engine option. Can even use materials left overs from building sheets that are other wise too short
