Thanks Adam, still waiting for the real snow to come, been really mild so far this winter. Starting to wonder how bad the cold snap and storms are going to be in the new year. Oh well, enjoy it while it's nice.
Has anybody tried how to sell battery with the UMX crescendo? Mine works on a 3-cell but the motor will not turn on with the two self it also tells me that the battery is not charged for flight
Not sure but it is a 3 cell power system. Without knowing anything about your batteries and how healthy they are I would only be guessing trying to help you troubleshoot it.
@@CR5rc Horizon Hobby finally contacted me back . They said they basically lied about the UMX crescendo being 2s capable. But they are sending me free3s battery. I bought lots of two cell batteries I did not care about the speed capability of this airplane so I have a bunch of useless batteries
@@jamesturncliff5960 why would you want to fly it on 2 cell anyway? I tried my UMX Timber-x on 2S once because I had a pack I wanted down to storage voltage and was curious. It was terrible, so underpowered. Even with the planes they claim are 2S/3S or 3S/4S they're always underpowered or at least nowhere near as fun on the lower count. Motor Kv and prop choice really determine what packs you should run. The motor in these is about 1000Kv lower than a typical 2S UMX plane. And there are a bunch of guys on RCgroups that are running it on 4 cell and loving it. I'm tempted to try it but could just take out my Kunai if I want speed. Sorry you're a little disappointed, but the solution is simple, run the Conscendo on good 3 cell or 4 cell packs and find another nice UMX that does run on those 2S batteries. At least these little batteries are cheap
@@CR5rc I bought it as a glider I don't really care how fast it goes I just want to get it up there and glide around to relax . My favorite airplanes are the UMX night vapor and the UMX Radian. The faster you go the smaller to the sky is how fast does a plane goes out of sight and the Crash is a lot worse and more expensive
@@jamesturncliff5960 But that is not what this "glider" is. This is a sports aerobatic sailplane at best but most would just call it a warmliner. It's meant to be fast and aerobatic. You will never be climbing unless the motor is on or there is very very strong lift. I can get 10-15 min per flight if milking it but that's not what this was designed to do. You would be better off with the 2m Radian, I have the night version, very relaxing and actually capable of grabbing a thermal. Plus big enough you can really see it. And it comes apart easily. As for fast and loosing sight of the plane, turn off SAFE and turn to keep it close, I show it in all my videos, the smaller he plane the closer you keep it. But you'd be surprised how well you can fly a small plane a fair distance away. Just keep them close, it won't hurt it to turn tight.
