Welcome to Jon's RC! Here is what we used during the video: E-flite UMX Timber X www.horizonhob... Spektrum 3S 300mAh www.horizonhob... Spektrum NX-10 Transmitter www.horizonhob...
I have never tried floats before. We have a float fly event at the lake across our field every month but I've nver participated. I will check that out. Thanks!
I almost bought one of these yesterday! I found a random hobby shop and stopped in hoping to find a Warbirds P-51B Mustand but they didn't have it. And yes I know I can order one on Amazon but I REALLY hate buying things like that online because I much prefer to be able to actually see it and touch it for myself before spending money on it. I'm just getting ready to get into RC flying so I haven't actually flown one yet so when I saw this UMX Timber in the shop I was really tempted to buy it but I decided to wait until I watched some reviews of it first. This will be the first video I have seen of this airplane (haven't watched it all yet) so I hope it's an informative one! The main thing that actually stopped me from buying it though is that I ride a motorcycle so size is an issue which is why I have been looking for the small P-51 by Warbirds. The Timber however is larger than I would like. I definitely could figure out a way to transport it wherever I want to take it on my motorcycle but for my first plane I think something small enough to fit in a backpack would be best.
If you are a first time UMX Timber flyer, I recommend the regular UMX Turbo Timber over the Timber X. The Turbo is more versatile and easier to fly in general. This UMX TimberX plane is geared towards 3D flying. The Turbo Timber can do 3D as well as Sport flying as well as general beginner basic flying. Thanks!
@@Jackson27mc I actually ended up buying the small p51d all foam trainer from Amazon even though I really didn't want to buy it online. I live in Florida however and it got here just as the weather turned bad. I live in the middle of the state though so these things are never really bad for us. But it will be a couple of days yet before I can fly it.
@@Bdj_jdk Oh I haven't given up on helis! I still fly my T-Rex's every weekend just not on video! Lot's of my subscribers are asking for more airplane videos! I will publish a new RC heli video probably next weekend!
I just recently got one of these and I can't get the flaperons to work properly. I followed the instructions and when i flick the switch, one aileron goes down and the other goes up. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Im using a Spektrum NX8 radio.
I ordered one just this morning because of a 10% off sale being available for this plane and a few others. I'm curious as to why you set yours up with spoilers instead of landing flaps. Please give me the pros and cons of doing so. Thanks.
Congrats! I set my model up with spoilers for no reason in particular and just wanted to mess around with it. The only real pro that I feel spoilers have is that the plane does high alphas slightly better when the spoilers are up. They absolutely are not necessary but it is pretty fun to mess around with in flight. The plane is able to slow down quick enough to the point where landing flaps are not needed.
Definitely go with the Turbo Timber! She has a more versatile flight envelope and just all around fun to fly! The Timber X is awesome but with its shortened wingspan, she was really meant for UMX 3-D flying. Many members in our flying field have the Turbo Timber!
Sarebbe anche un bel modello se non fosse per il piano alari e di coda che escono divisi e assemblati con schoch al posto di cerniere. Il piano di coda specialmente
