This is such a powerful piece. Each time I hear it I tear up because this is the last piece my beloved grandmother played at her retirement recital after 52 years on the bench!! ♥️
My arthritis just wouldn’t help towards this these days. Sadly. My teacher, Dr Donald Hunt played this after a Service in Leeds UK whilst discussing the previous day’s football results!
This is so encouraging listening to your rendering of this piece. I just decided practicing it. It’s just lovely and the way you’re playing it. Thank you!
This looks to be the easiest to learn of the "sounds difficult" pieces. The manuals will be easy to nail down; the eighth-note pedal runs go easily along the scale. I can't wait to start working on it!
@@reubencash9226 I'm getting a late start on this - I just secured my (old) church pianist job and managed last week to organize practice time in the sanctuary. So NOW I will start working on it!
