Way too short! I could watch those riding skills all day. Im injured at the moment so need the bike porn to get me through haha. I bet it was a challenge keeping up with Fabien but you did a great job. Send me a link to the feature film and I will get my popcorn ready...
Nice video. Great riding tips! Every week you making me want an Emtb more and more. Only problem is the local trails her in Richmond VA do not allow them:(. Hopefully times will change soon.
Great video, nice to see that bike mastery from Fab and Steve. So - flats are best on corners (better to load the BB) but clips are better on the climbs, to apply even torque? is that what Fabien meant?
With Nico and Fabien running a 29 front wheel and a 27.5 back wheel; Is this a trend we can expect to see in the coming future? I definitely appreciate the reasoning behind it. Being able to lay down a hefty 2.8 out back for traction pays dividends on climbs and technical stuff (like Fabien riding those rocks in this video). Know of any other companies following suit? Haibike for example?
I rode a ebike (canyon, but doesn't really matter) today for the first time. And damn! That thing is a game changer. After getting used to the bike pushing you a bit then it's brilliant. The price on the other hand......
@tolga1cool mate just buy one. I was going to drop $3000 on a Giant trance but went all out and got the Giant Trance e+ pro 1 $5800. Been riding mtb for 16 years and after taking it for one ride I have completely forgotten about the price because I’m riding more now, getting even fitter, and having way more FUN
adam palma Yep. been riding 30 years on/off and since dropping 5k on a Bulls (a brand I’d never even heard of), I ride every day. Rain or shine. This is what heroin must feel like, sooo addicting
You should do a special about great places to visit where you can go riding on a vacation and rent an e-mtb on site since flying with an e-bike and it´s battery is a no go. It would give ample reasons for you to go riding in different countries :) Also, have you guys thought about your role as ambassadors for this kind of biking? You could start a cooperation with sites in europe for example and maybe get sponsors? I would love to be able to visit your site and find links to your recommended sweetspots in Austria, France, Britain, Sweden and so on. This is something I would love to work with myself. The more I think about it the more ideas keep popping up. Just imagine if you guys could organize a e-mtb festival where ordinary people got to meet you guys and the different brands at a bikepark with ample opportunities to rent or borrow bikes to try. I would love an opportunity to speak to different brand-representatives about their bikes and be able to compare them in real life. I am sure you would be able to raise some willing hands to help with logistics if you wanted. Since you have a lot of viewers who are positive people and passionate about this hobby I´m sure the potential is there for creating a great community of bikers who meet and ride together. With e-bikes being a sort of equalizer enabling older people like me to go riding with people like you in many cases. Of course I will not be able to brave too technical climbs but I think it would be fun to go trail-riding in a group.
Hey I always find myself losing contact with my pedals whilst jumping for instance...I watched a few videos, however, haven’t found out what to improve..any tipps?
WOW ! I loved this video with Fabien. Such technical skills ! And you do quite as well ! I really have to improve myself. Come ti south of France when you want, you are my guest. So many nice trails and singles here. And you will give me some advices to improve my technical skills. ;-)
Amazing skills! e-bikes are awesome. Wish I had bought a full suspension e-bike. I still have fun on my hard tail but gets pretty rough on speedy decent.
I wish I had more time to ride and access to all these amazing bikes you keep dangling before our eyes! I am really interested in that Canyon bike, it looks great! A shame that no shops will carry it since it´s just available online by directsales from Canyon.
Good content, editing and narrative as usual. But I did not get the point Fabien made on geometries at 06:40 . In what sense one can allow oneself to be slightly smaller? Meaning that one could get a more aggressive geometry (or slacker) on an ebike compared to a similar purpose muscular bike? Not sure I understand that. Would you explain please?
That's the opposite. With the same geometry an ebike is more stable than a normal bike (because of the extra weight and center of gravity). That means you can get a ebike with a shorter wheel base or little less slacker and have the stability of more agressive muscular bike.
Haha that caught me off guard too. I think what he was saying is not only is the Center of mass real low on an ebike, but the total mass is also significantly higher.
Nice video. Just shows what's possible on smooth, compact, bone dry dirt, and huge areas of grippy rocks. Now can you show us some ebike action in the kind of British riding conditions I "enjoyed" today - deep mud, huge caterpillar ruts, puddles the size of ponds, polished knobbly limestone bedrock covered with the green slime of a long winter? I'm sure it would be educational.
