7:30 the bike goes quicker. Due to the music and no actual cycling noise we don't know if it's fast because you're going down a hill and free wheeling or if kids the actual bike? Which is it? Do you have the video without the music so we can hear the real amount of power from the battery and you?
Ive the same model bike remove the retarder that restricts your speed of bike takes 10 minutes then your bike will easily go over 30 mph but then becomes ileagle to use on roads in UK.
Thanks for sharing… mine was gotten from someone but it will only power on when connected to be charged. Please do you or anyone here knows what to do. I’m charging it with a 32v charger though. I removed the battery to test on another 24v electric scooter, it worked well. I also have tested the battery’s voltage with multimeter and it give 25.7v. I will appreciate if I can get a solution. Thanks to everyone.
Great video John and it helped me make up my mind to finally buy one after so much hesitation as when they were in stock last year I hesitated then they were sold out and the same happened again this spring but Argos had them but didn't deliver to my post code and didn't have them in any of the local stores for collection but then they did at my local store so hit the buy button sharpish! I love it it's a great little bike and with its more upright position it doesn't put that much strain on my back as I have ongoing spinal injuries. Yes it's a tad heavy to put in the car but I can manage it ok, so I just want to say thanks for this video. Oh and by the way the day after I got it Argos had them in stock for both delivery and in store collection, absolutely does law eh!
I know I love the bike hills are no problem now makes you go a lot further you still have to pedal its only assisted, battery cuts out when you stop pedalling.
@@Brummiejohn200 hello John. Does the peddling charge the battery at all ? Also can you peddle with no assistance from battery if it's flat , or you simply don't want assistance? Cheers and all the best.
@@herpsmaltwatta This is an assist only bike what that means is the motor on the front wheel will only kick in as long as you are pedalling, you have three levels of assist and you can turn the battery off and ride it as a standard bike and no pedalling will not charge the battery, hope this helps, atb John

My e plus folder cops out when I try to ride up a hill and will not come back alive until I turn it off and off again, I am told the battery Is at fault as all the other components of the bike check out ok, and Info and help will be appreciated
Hi Roger sorry to hear your having problems with the e-plus I have no idea what the problem is it could be your battery if It was me I would take some voltage readings from the battery that's all I can think of sorry hope you get it sorted soon, atb John.
@@M23GALA it turns out the battery management system was at fault, when I was riding uphill the battery went to 2 volts instead of 24, so I bought a new one and no problems as yet 😁
I've just bought a secondhand on foldable version for taking out in the motorhome. Thanks for the video........Bristol Road Northfield sort of area ? .........I thought I recognised some of it from my childhood.
@@Brummiejohn200 Ah right, I grew up in Leahouse road Stirchley, and I attended Bournville Grammar Technical for boys, my siblings went to Dame Elizabeth Cadbury school.
Hello pal, I have the same ebike since last year and so far, so good. Just the last days I'm incurring on a problem: when I switch on the bike, i have an error dispayed on the speed control beeping on the "number 2". The motor clearly it's not working at all. Have you ever had this problem? I read through the manual but there is no mention on this error :( Thanks!
Well done on quitting smoking. How much do you weigh? I bought just the electric wheel for sons bike, he's 8. Would also like any information on the type of electric controller this bike uses as the wheel is a three pin connector and most of them are 5+
Hi John. Thanks for posting this video, there's very little else available about this particular bike. I'm 58 and seriously considering purchasing this bike to help with fitness and losing some of my 18 stone weight. You've had this bike a while now, could you please comment on whether you are still pleased with it and if you have experienced any problems? Many thanks.
Hi Andrew yes I'm still pleased with the bike for the money I paid £499.00 I was pleased with the build quality of the bike I only changed a couple of things on the bike the tyres I replaced with some with more tread because of all the leaves on the ground by me the original tyres were ok for the road I just wanted more grip also I put my big saddle off my old bike on as it's more comfortable and that’s it. I think you will be pleased with the bike if you buy it, hope this helps atb John.
@@Brummiejohn200 Thanks for that John. Theres's very little information about this bike on the internet so your video has been really helpful in showing how this bike performs in real world riding. Much appreciated.
@@VANFLIPPINGTASTIC yes I have one, in top mode although you're peddling you're basically doing nothing lol. Fine for me as I just use it to get from a to b not for fitness but I am only burning around half the calories I would on a normal bike so if your goal I'd weight loss you'll speed it up with a regular bike
Hi John, I am 5,2 in height and am wondering would I be comfortable reaching the handlebars, or would I need to stretch forward? Also thank you for doing this video :)
Good on ya mate iam 54 just got a ebike yesterday I love it put a smile on my face reminded me when I was a kid on my chopper lol good video top tunes keep riding all day everyday 😀 👍
Hi John, great video. Can you tell me a little more about the bike. Does have different settings for the battery assist [some thing like high medium low?] and what sort of distance are you getting between charges. Have you folded it up and lifted it into a car? Thanks Steve
Hi Steve, it has three assist settings low, medium, high as for distance it says it will do 20 miles but I don’t think it will it's going to depend on how heavy you are the terrain your on flat or going up hills it's the hills that zap the battery, at the moment I have only done 10 miles on it and it would have done a few more in low but not sure how many as for putting it in the car not tyred it yet but it folds down well and I don't see a problem fitting it in an average car boot, I'm pleased with the bike for the money it cost and the build quality is very good, hope this helps , atb john.
The heaviest gear seems extremely light on the highest setting so I use it only when speeding. The bike is relatively easy to cycle even without the assist so I often don't use it if I'm on the footpath, need to navigate between people and parked cars. Most often first or second setting is enough for me. So I guess I can save up on the battery this way but I use it mainly to cycle in town.
When you’re riding this bike, if you stop pedalling (say you’re going down a hill) does the bike keep moving? Or would the bike stop as soon as you stop pedalling? Can you cycle it without any power at all?
Hi, You have 3 levels of assist, the motor in the front wheel will only start powering the bike when you peddle there is a sensor on the crank that detects the peddles going around when you stop peddling the motor power stops but the wheel can still turn like a normal bike the assist will only work up to 15mph then it drops back out again. It's basically a normal bike with a power assist motor in the front wheel hub that just helps you when you go up hills or when ever you want it too, hope this helps, atb John.
When I bought it from Argos it said 20km but this is going to depend on your weight and the terrain like hills etc and what level of assist your on, hope this helps, atb John.
