E.T.'s Demon - MASHUP of Starset/Katy Perry 

Hello everyone! I would like to say that I’m grateful for the amounts of positive feedback that I received, so thank you! I have made a post in my community posts tab where I’m asking you guys for what mash ups you would like to see!

Makes me want to hear a Starset featuring Katy Perry, like they did with Breaking Benjamin.

This is exacly what I want from a 2 song mashup. A lot of these create 3 minutes of 2 songs cut on eachother, but this is the example that you can create a seperate third song. Hope it's clear what I wanted to say, because I myself wouldn't get it.

I love how the heavy, but almost orchestral melody of My Demons fits the lyrics so well, the otherworldly vibe really resonates between both songs. Edit: the "Take Me" vocals during the chorus of the mashup is absolutely genius, awesome work.

The part after "You're an Alien" during the chorus is pure, unadulterated magic... That chord progression with Katy Perry's vocals is just... OH, ITS SO GOOD

This showcases actual, genuine, skill in audio mixing. Great shit, my guy.

As a Starset fan I've never expect this kind of mashup to work with other artist but this hits different, great job!

first time I heard this was from a VRC club DJ and it actually legit took me a hot minute before I realised that it was a mashup and not an original song

Why isn’t this more popular? My Demons is my favorite song of all time and I’ve been looking for good mashups for a while and haven’t found many. this is incredible. Definitely subbing

This is really awesome! They fit each other so well, they complement each other. Especially that "Take me, ta-ta-teke me" part

oftentimes in mashups you can obviously identify every piece and think of them as two separate songs. But with this, I forgot where Starset ended and Katy Perry began. This is a completely new song, and I love it

Wow… just… I’m completely blown away! When I saw this in my recommended I was like “how the Hell do you mash these two songs together without overlapping?” And I expected that but… fuck I was wrong! This is immaculate! An absolute masterpiece! You my friend, are extremely talented! This song, I’m gonna be listening to it nonstop! Thank you for creating this!

I found this like 3 days ago and am pretty sure I've added a collective 3-4 hours of listen time since then. Mashups aren't easy, but when they are done right, they Are Done RIGHT. And This is Done *R I G H T*

She looked up at him with a smile, her large eyes brimming with happiness. The sensors on his suit beeped at him again. "Oxygen levels critical. Proceed to the nearest station immediately." She cocked her head as if she'd heard the HUD speaking from where she stood, well on the other side of the clearing and tapped the edge of the long, silver tray that had been following her around. It went back to where she called home as she made her way over to him. "Oxygen levels critical. Proceed to the nearest station immediately..." -inspired by this mash-up.

im usually not into mashups because of its non-seriousness or smth its more for fun even if it was created by skilled person but this is one of the other masterpieces and it gave me the goosebumps like someone here said this mashup makes my brain imagine the picture of astronaut and alien singing their lovesong

When I first heard My Demons by Startset years ago, I always said this song reminds me from a certain Katy Perry song and there we have it. Though Katy's song came first, the similarities of the melodies are strong. This mashup was good for those who were unaware of such a thing.

Two of my favorite songs mashed up together? YES PLEASE. They work so well together!!!

This really is something you wouldn't really expect to work on paper. Yet somehow, you not only made it work, you created an amazing MASTERPIECE! Honestly, this is so incredibly well done... My favourite part is the overlaid "T-Take me", such a great touch.

This looks like a story of a man who came from a supernatural or extraterrestrial who is being haunted by his demons and a woman who is in awe of his differences and will save him someday from his demons.

this song is perfect for books of fantasy and suspense, I hear it now and read the novel (Harry Potter and the Deathly hallows ) at the same time, it suits the tense atmosphere in this part especially.

I love this kind of remix, the ones that mix both songs (in rhythm and lyrics) and fit so perfectly; there are others that they just put the sound of one song and the lyrics of the other, but there’s never a change of harmony between the two of them. This song, successfully shows it

Love it. It has some phase cancelling effect in the audio sometimes due to (I think) layering both full songs under each other. As opposed to using Acapella tracks. Not a bad thing really 🤷 I like producing so I can't un-notice stuff lol.
