When I saw Stell and Ryan Cayabyab on the title, I was expecting SOMETIME, SOMEWHERE so I was excited to tune in. It was a bit of a let down that it wasn't in the line up, but I enjoyed watching nonetheless. Thanks for supporting Filipino music! Sorry to disappoint. Hearing a song made for Stell was exciting for us :). And there are SOOO many that cover Sometime, Somewhere. That said, we DO plan on hearing Stell sing this at some point!
the song We Heal As One was inspired by "We Win as One" which was originally sung by Lea Salonga as Southeast Asian (SEA) Games official anthem in 2019. A good song to react with in the future
Stell was a guest during Mr C's birthday benefit concert and he sang one of Mr C's hardest composition, Sometime, Somewhere. He was the youngest and the newbie among all the 60 performers but he was THE highlight of the night. And that was the idea of Mr C making a song for Stell came to be. I just remember mori's ASAP rehearsal of the song "What Kind of Fool I am"where both Regine and her husband Ogie are jokingly throwing their shoes on Mori after she sang because she is that good! He ran the best music camp for young aspiring musicians, called Elements Singing/Songwriting Camp. 60 singers and songwriters from all over the country deepened their singing and songwriting talents, changing their lives forever. Ryan put a lot of his talent and success to helping out disenfranchised communities like Smokey Mountain garbage dump in Manila and young talents unable to afford any training for their musical abilities.
