For the people that dont get it, its bcs Topaz s1e1 has many debuffing capabilities so comparing her s1e1 to a actual debuffing unit is a valid comparison, it also shows that Jiaoqiu can be swapped for topaz if u have him and want to use Topaz or him in a another team, example Clara topaz if u rly want to, and if u dislike this comparison find a video on e0s0 it isnt the end of the world someone is comparing more invested characters just because u dont have e1s1 topaz
E0S0 topaz is beter than Jiaoqiu he only gives 35% vulnerability while she gives 50%. At E1S1 she's leagues ahead it's not even funny with 74% cd to follow ups that's without mentionning her personal damage so it's not worth it to replace her with JQ even at e0s0
@@Yassine-bft09 E0S0 Topaz does not give enough debuffs to make Ratio consistent. Even though Topaz gives higher dmg vul, she does not buff his ultimate or skill dmg which are still non-negligible factors of his dmg. Although Jiaoqiu only has 35% dmg vul, he has it for all dmg sources including FUA which makes him buff Ratio’s entire kit by a large margin. If we were comparing E1S1, Jiaoqiu gives further 24% dmg vul as his 3 third debuff on his S1 and then 40% dmg increase from E1 also for all sources of dmg from allies. This buffs Robin’s dmg by a significant margin that Topaz’s dmg vul doesnt take into consideration. 72% ceit dmg isnt anything to sneeze at either but these are straight multipliers to Ratio’s dmg which is pretty significant
Not to mention he also buffs the Ults a ton so in the end he buffs the overall performance of the team more especially if you have E1/S1 for JQ it’s a non contest then.
i'd call Jiaoqiu a "universal soldier" : performs pretty well in all team archetypes, but always has a niche replacement that will be better (except for Acheron teams)
@@restart6358 when we finally get foxian man he gets nerfed to oblivion then a very powerful foxian lady comes with no remorse for her abilites, i still love him tho im glad hes still good just i wish theyd make an op debuffer like an op harmony like ruan mei or robin or sparkle but we only really have medicore ones, pela being nice, silver wolf really nice but single target, and now jiaoqiu a funky little man, i hope in the future theres a debuffer that would compete with a haromy as well they're kinda same role just opposites
@@dazzle810 of course foxian girl is stronger cuz she is a waifu, but when we get male foxian not only they give him npc design but also made him mediocre and support for acheron, in this game or in all mihoyo games male characters are cursed to be mid or when they are strong they will be powercrept by female characters
Before anyone tries to downplay Jiaoqiu please remember that Topaz has an extra eidolon AND her signature LC. Jiaoqiu has no eidolons or his signature LC. Despite the nerfs he is still good and if you give him Pearls he'll work just fine for Ratio. This is just a a comparison of their debuffing capabilities
Well that's the thing. Jiaoqiu is mainly a debuffer while Topaz is a jack of many trades. If you use Topaz, it gives comfort for Aventurine's stacks. If you choose Jiaoqiu, it caters to Ratio since it's easier to hit 100% on his passive. The bad thing about Jiaoqiu is that he's solely catered to niches that can be easily substituted with either Pela or Guinaifen, which is why his only best team is either Acheron or Ratio. If he wants to be in a DoT team, you'll need his E2. Topaz on the other hand can pair with most follow-up teams but is sadly limited to that since that's her niche. The only big reason why Jiaoqiu is stronger is because he's a newer unit and we know the powercreep problem here in HSR.

A character that applies consistent debuffs and provides a big dmg multiplier to ults is definitely not a character that can easily be easily substituted. Topaz has a substitute now too, M7 Hunt but you aren't discrediting her for Hunt 7th's existence like you shouldn't JQ with Pela, they're both better in the niches they signed up for, it's just one has had time to get units that synergize with while the other was advertized as acheron support which screwed over expectations of him but will def get other bis units in the future

Still don't get why they got rid of Jiao healing his teammates. Now the hotpot field visual of one spicy side (that debufs enemies) and one mild side (that's suppose to be providing some kinda support to allies) doesn't make as much sense.
Literally leakers said that his heals weren't even comparable to every single healer we have in the game bro☠️. I'm glad they removed it bc it would've been a waste , why have heals when you can't even heal more than Natasha or E6 Preservation March ?
@@soulofalbedoi mean, he is literally a Medic, and all around his lore and game voice lines are about his healing talents. Jiaoqui don't having healing is as stupid as if acheron were a healing unit.
No other faction should have some capabilities of the other faction. Basically, Mihoyo won't want a Nihility unit to be a healer because it will most likely invalidate future Abundance candidate characters. So they removed his heal. Idk, that's just my perspective on why.
E1S1 topaz was needed for consistent ratio debuffs, she only rly needs e0s1 for other fua archetypes but this is the most popular one so its the one people wanna see. Feixiao and March 7th for example will love topaz
@@GReynNot really, e0s1 Topaz is sufficient 90% of the time with Ratio, Robin, and Aventurine w/o sig or Pearls. Ratio has the extra debuff on skill, spd debuff on technique, Aventurine ult debuff and breaking enemy weaknesses in general.

Like its better to get her lightcone, but i use the team with e0s0 topaz, e0s0 ratio, e1s1 aventurine and e1s0 topaz and it works fine? like getting max debuffs on boss is easy? Plus topaz is still better overall bc her extra attacks for robin and aventurine are quite important, since topaz hits a lot more than ratio. Also topaz personal damage is quite significant

@@Dado_nastroClara, Moze, March Hunt, Jade, Yunli, Lingsha, Himeko, Herta, and Jing Yuan works well too. Blade, Kafka and Ice March sometimes works too, it’s not recommended but still works E4 QQ, E4 Bronya, and Yanqing are the weakest in terms of synergy with Topaz E4 QQ is like Yunli’s because of Blast FUA but it’s RNG, Bronya is more conditional than Kafka even if they do the same when the FUA is active when any ally does a basic ATK but the thing is that if the enemy has Wind weakness, Yanqing is like Ratio’s But it’s RNG and his FUA can’t be triggered even if the enemy dies unlike Ratio
@@kidsIIIII009 I would put JY with JQ rather than Topaz cause at least JQ debuffs are AOE and applies to JY's skill and ULT which is a big portion of JY's total DPS per cycle.
As a Jiaoqiu doomposter, I am elated to be proven wrong because that means me pulling him is justified (was set on pulling him even if he was "bad" and I'm still reeling from my failed Huohuo pulls), and that debuffers have a bright future.
ive seen people say moze is a good replacement/substitute for topaz. so in that sense would jiaoqiu, aventurine, moze, and dr ratio work as a team? i know mozes kit can be subjected to change but as of his current kit is what im asking.
Subject to change, but Moze E4 adds an additional 20% crit dmg bonus to allies (total of 40%) when they attack a marked enemy, so he likely will only be better at E4 and above. This is good for people like me who have zero Premium FUA chars (except Aventurine) and considering pulling on Feixiao.
As of now he's not really a "good" substitute, he's what you cope with if you don't have Topaz or don't want to play Ratio in hypercarry, It's like using Sampo for Dot instead of Black swan, it's a replacement, you can definitely use him, wouldn't say it's good
loving these videos! hope you can show off moze properly as well before beta ends because I’m interested in him but his kit as it is now seems to have several glaring issues. :( I want to find a use for him.
One thing people might underestimate is Robin's damage during the Concert, with Jiaoqiu my E0S0 Robin's damage almost doubled (reaching 33k per ally attack) and that added to a FUA team that attacks a lot becomes almost a carry's damage from a fcnk Harmony lol
So the damage increase that Jiaoqiu provides is not restricted to just FUA (or just one DPS), it greatly increases the team's total damage, making Robin and even Aventurine deal a lot of damage. Guys, we already know that Topaz is a amazing char, but don't underestimate Jiaoqiu, he is a amazing char with so much flexibility in any team (universal vulnerability increase break dmg, normal carry's dmg and even DoT)
I wonder if e1s1 jiaoqiu would be performing better than e1s1 topaz. I know he's good but if he is better than topaz at equal investment then he is MUCH better than I thought he was
I main Acheron Kafka and ratio. Should I actually get JQ? I don’t have black swan tho and I’m just unsure how long he would last in the “meta” as I’m not attached to him as a character but he seems like a very strong option with my fav chars.
man im having the same trouble as you, but im actually planning to save for both jiaoqiu and black swan. hopefully i can get both tho.. i really love acheron dot teams and i wanna try her with jiaoqiu too :’D
@@asakurashin I made up my mind to get him after some showcases but I am still unsure about black swan and it PAINSSS me to skip fei xiao as I rly like her already🥲 but I got a lot coming up that I want/need such as Acheron lc and robin e1s1 and Sunday or potential sampo 5star so maybe I should only get JQ and skip all these other units. I haven’t seen Kafka and jq dot yet without black swan 😩

I would say yes. The thing is Jiaoqiu is a generalist character. You slot him anywhere, he preforms well. He makes it where you don't need some niche characters He is also bis for Acheron
Absolutely Not if you want to start a good DoT team you should go Kafka>>her LC>BS>=RM/Robin>BS LC. Dont get me wrong his as good as RM or Robin for DoT but the 2 others do similar or better results and are more flexible if you had Acheron he would be a good pick but for a DoT only nahh. Wait for Robin rerun and she will synergies with hunt march 7th and DoT. But if you really like him go for it Im just giving you my advise as a fellow DoT enjoyer 😂
I have the same base stats as their robin but without sig LC I’m guessing it’s just that since it adds more attack meaning more dmg for her and allies Edit: it might also be jiaoqius “zone”/ultimate I’m not sure abt that tho
In PF yes, sparkle x Argenti x JQ x Huohuo is very very good. In MOC where you will be relying on his stronger ult more often, you’d want sparkle x Tingyun
Probably because of the Jiaoqiu debuffs allowing her to do more DMG, while in a traditional team u cant really buff her dmg that much unless u buff ATK which is still minimal since she has a lotta ATK% already
God I sincerely hope he really is like this. His kit still feels a bit confused, but at least he works better than anticipated. He's definitely still a skip for me for now, though, even if he's better he's just not worth it for my account, no DoT team (which won't change), no Acheron (which might change), and even if he works with Ratio, his reliance on specific lighcones puts my already owned SW leagues above him. Maybe one day if I really feel like going for the luxury Ratio team, I'll pull him. At least now I know he isn't that bad.
Im not braindead enough to know that its not about him or her but more like having a robin aventurine and ratio at e1s1 will carry the team no matter who is with them. You might fool others but you cant fool me
Rehardless of whether the team has insane investment on the other three. The video proves that jiaoqiu is performing just as well as e1s1 at e0s0. It is mainly because jiaoqiu can hold luka mc and has a barrage of debuffs at e0s0 enough to enable ratio's kit to go ham and deal a lot of damage. You're fooling yourself if you didn't see that at all.
One thing many of y’all are overlooking is that Topaz not only provides debuffs, but provides enormous amounts of damage on her own. That’s the main boost of Topaz. I see a lot of people saying they’re equal at this level of investment for *Ratio’s* damage, but they’re forgetting about team-wide damage. …That being said, Jiaoqiu is buffing Robin whereas Topaz is not. lol.
Permanently skip topaz and jiaqui LC. Get E1 jiaqui and use silverwolf LC on his since the only real difference between them is -12% dmg received. Gotcha.
