Thanks for all your great videos...when i make it it taste better then bought👍 I dont know if i go to far here, but what happens with your right hand on the top?
A benefit of having ready access to fresh pressed sugar cane juice and coconut water is to simply pour in the coconut water into the sugar cane juice to ferment. Also, adding pineapple juice/coconut water to the sugar cane juice to ferment together works well too. best is to dissolve coconut sugar into coconut water and then pour into the sugar cane juice. Living in the tropics where all of these resources are readily available and super cheap helps. Just ferment together and distill.
Nice vid Funny I just did a coconut run with honey a couple of weeks ago the dollar store was selling organic coconut powder and I got some wildflower honey and I made a 5 gallon batch with 2 kg of white sugar came out ok. about 8 days though mash was good
Looking forward for part 2! Perhaps add some coconut flakes in gin basket and/or column with packing? I never thought of adding some coconut milk! Good ideal! Thanks.
You've got me motivated to try my hand at coconut rum. Mine will be white, with no aging & going to try to pick up the coconut flavor/aroma by using (sort of) a gin basket.
I like the way you camera "unshy" over the years. I have learn from you and I am really glad I watch the good chanel. (French canadian here) thx you mister.
Thanks for your videos Randy. A few things I'd do differently; #1 use rum yeast; #2 aerate the wash with an electric wisk; #3 flavor after distillation using Amoretti coconut flavoring and something to think about is that the coconut flakes will absorb a bit of alcohol which will decrease the yield. Cheers!
