I’m stoked a man of your ability has got his hands on one of these. It’s a very tough truck, servo replacement is the first to do among many to make it pretty bullet proof. I’ve already been through two bodies and truck still runs great. Traxxas link is nice for fine tuning trims and throttle travel. Wait till you dig in to drivetrain... Cheers!
Why did you go with the Savox(361 oz-in, not being waterproof) as opposed to the Traxxas 330(330 oz-in) or even the Traxxas 400(400 oz-in), both being waterproof and in the same price range...???
Thought of making some cover plate for the batteries? The softcase lipos look pretty exposded for rocks and stuff. Looks like there was a cutout for them in the slide plate.
@@AMPROEngineering cool. I did not know you can buy those little jumper wires premade, I've been making them for the receiver box. Got lights on 5 of my rigs now. lol. Oh and I found those lighting boxes on amazon.ca for brake lights as well. Those episodes were very interesting to me. Thanks good job.
@@AMPROEngineering, There are 2 different variations of the UDR, one without lighting(85076-4, $700) and with lighting(85086-4, $760), both pricings being MSRP, and Traxxas controls pricing through dealers, so...
Pretty good viewing this. I bought some higher torque servos and installed one in my bruiser clone. It cuts out so I think I need to install a BEC, not exactly sure how to go about it....
Great question. I also dont know how to install the BEC but I think it has something to do with pulling power from the battery and signal from the receiver?
