Just stupid RU-vid’r with a bloody comment: There are two things that I see as being wrong with this build 1. You used those weak Victor Reinz gaskets 2. You turned an E30 into a museum piece 😊How in the world could you ever drive it to enjoy after such a great build? You did (are doing) a fantastic job ❤Hat’s off to you sir.
Hi mate, the headers were custom made. There is nothing that fits in a right hand drive car, or at least not at the time I built this. Thanks for the comment.
nice project, i can see the love aaand the blood, sweat & the years in this car. i think it's your passion.. i wish much more videos and much more subscriber for you
What transmission did you use and how did you fit it in? I have an e30 myself and I’m looking to swap and m60/m62 v8 in it. Would you rather swap an m60 or an ls?
hi EPIC video presentation i am also restoring / building a couple of bmw e30's can you please give me some more info on the 5 lug hole hub system because with factory the e30's have 4 holes and also want a decent way to convert it to 5 holes please
My setup is all out of a e36 compact which comes out with 5 lug setup. You also need to get post 1995 e36 me lower control arms and something like SRS Concept or Treehouse lower control arm bushes to replace the stock lollipop bushes.
Lovely Build👌👌👏👏👏. Quick question are you running AC?? I'm trying to figure out how you managed to fit the compressor without cutting part of the frame🤔
Hi mate, yes I had to hammer up the trans tunnel quite a bit but mainly widen it so I can get the trans out without pulling the motor each time. That said, mine is a 5 speed so may even be smaller than your 6 speed. As you would know, they do put the 6 speed trans in them but I'm just not sure what is required. Thanks for the nice comment.
Hi Victor, my headers were custom made. If you are lefthand drive I know you can purchase sets on line. They just don't make them for righthand drive cars to my knowledge.
This is so sick and really helpful! Following in insta already 😂 What radiator have you used? Also I have a 5 speed manual and I'm wondering what ratio differential to use... any ideas?
Thanks so much Freddie. So sorry for the late reply, I've been flat out getting the car ready for it's first show which was last weekend. Won best Import and Runner up best interior. I honestly can't remember which radiator I used. It may have been an e36 after market radiator?? I have a 5 speed as well and I run a 4 clutch, 3.15 ratio with 45/45 degree ramping.
Steering rack change was only to have less turns lock to lock. That said, I did need to change the steering column knuckle setup to a barina one to gain some more clearance room for custom made headers (right hand drive car).
Do it. I've found nothing is impossible if you set your mind to it. For me it took a fair bit of time because I had to save up money each time I wanted to do something, plus I was not paying anyone to do it. Make a plan, get stuck in, allow the time and you'll do it.
