If you can't get it through the steering wheel you can rotate the wheel to the left while juggling the cluster between the dash and the wheel until it is free.
Can one just tilt the cluster forward without unplugging and removing it so one can change the odometer bulbs...I don't have a wheel the adjust as it's a stationary non-adjustable wheel...My odometer bulbs are out and I won't get through inspection in March....Thanks and nice video...
I need to replace the odometer bulbs on my 1989 535i E34....Do the bulbs just screw right off the back of the cluster to replace them..Also, what were the first two things you removed. They were black and maybe a 1/4 inch wide by 2 inches long...Thanks...Phil
