E36 318ti - Underside restoration

This winter I decided to give the underside of my 318ti compact a refresh after 22 years of Norwegian salty winters. Everything in the rear end was disassembled, sanded down and repainted with Owatrol oil, metal paint and Mercasol wax. This was all done by myself and on a budget, but I am very pleased with how it turned out.

What did you cost the undercarriage with? And did you cut out the old rust?

Love your work. I'll be doing that with my e36 M3. Question: how did you deal with rusty jackpoints? I noticed that you covered up the jackpoint access holes in the sills. Thanks!

No I haven't worked in my car yet. As a safety measure, I don't plan to ever use any of the jack points again on my car since it's a 96 and has rust at 1 of them. So, when I repair this, I will prob just close them up. I'm looking for more than removing the rust around the hole; the actual inner tube (the part where you stick in the factory jack to lift the car) of one of my jack points is bent.

I wouldn't have gone for the poly bushes you should of used the standard ones

Luv his work ? There is not one point in this video which shows this guy physically doing anything himself, it's just a flash bi of stage pics. For all you know he just took it to a garage .
