the beep depends on different things. It can be traction related or the ambient temp sensor which costs 25 at oembimmerparts

They don't if they're looked after properly. They're built to much tighter tolerances than most mass production cars, and as a result CAN be much more fragile. Generally they are bomb proof though.

Just so you know the steptronic isn't supposed to be fast. It's not for racing.

I agree its not worth a shit. I own a 330ci w/step it sucks. Still faster than 90% of the cars on the road though.

they aren't slow!!!! i have one

my 325ci step auto is almost 1 second slower 0-60 than a manual! i hate the step auto!
