This was great! I'll probably have to do this soon too so it's a great help. Btw will this help me with the p0414 code or is that one for the valve and sec air pump?
Thank you, I just ordered the tool and Bosch sensors for my 2005 325i as the registration with CA smog is due very soon. You made me a little nervous with the oil cap removed during the process.
Thank you for this video. I had the exact same symptoms with my E46. There were no vacuum leaks, hoses were good, the secondary air pump appeared fine, and the secondary air monitor wouldn't set. My car has over 200K miles without changing the O2 sensors. I replaced the pre-cat O2 sensors and started up the car and let it idle for a few minutes. I turned the car off and rescanned the car. The secondary air monitor was set. Thank you.
Your welcome, I always try and share what I find out, especially thing like this where you can read up on it but nothing like seeing it live, please subscribe
Yes, there is a check valve and a electric on/off valve they are both good, the O2 sensors where definitely the problem, the data on the scanner shows the difference.
@@acef_performance8416 not to long ago I had p1093 which is a large vacuum leak and I had 172 174 I used torque app to look at my fuel trim this app help me out bought a smoke machine can't go wrong iam glad you figured out you're problem am going on 238.753 miles on my Guage
I cannot get my check engine light to turn off and I’ve replaced everything. Kombi valve, solenoid under dash, check valve behind the intake, checked for leaks, Even the 02 sensors before the cat you’re talking about. I’m having a P2770 code though being the secondary air Hot film air mass flow sensor which I’ve also changed 🤯 Please help
If you are trying to clear the light with a basic OBD2 scanner it will not clear, you need to use the laptop and software. Some e46s have a “check engine light” and some have a “service engine soon” not sure why bmw did this but I learned the the one with service engine have a combo thing where scanner will clear basic codes but for more in depth you need to use the software, it took me a while figure it out
