I've got plans in the works for that. Planning on doing the poor man's 6 speed swap which means the cable shifted 6spd out of the 15+ WRX. I also own an Outback that came stock with that trans and I've loved it over the past 80k miles. Same FD ratio at the 4EAT! Diesel Foresters in other markets actually came with that trans as well.
@@livinlikelarry8782 unfortunately not, I've searched a lot for solutions for the 4EAT. The CANbus in this car is the complicating factor. Cobb started working on a way to tune the TCM when these cars came out (including the 08+ 4EAT WRX), but ultimately they gave up on the project. No one on the opensource side has been successful either. Mostly I'm worried about breaking a planetary or something in the transfer case (5EAT is famous for shattering transfer gear bearings).
Yeah, 2010 Forester XT. This engine that I built for it now is the same block and heads it left the factory with, but EJ257 pistons for a higher comp ratio. According to the forums it should be around 8.7:1. H-beam connecting rods in the OEM length, OEM nitrided EJ25 crank. Haven't had any detonation issue on 91 with the higher compression, on 7psi boost I was even able to run 87, but that's really no fun at all.
