sweet spec! picked up a clean 06 330i not to long ago. coming from the E46 world this is miles ahead in terms of daily driving. im also an old school bmw fan and this car is the best of both worlds! OEM plus forever.
beautiful car! i own a white over saddle 2011 328. i’ve told people for years the beauty of the 328. perfect daily and is so much fun especially with the manual. your car looks alot like mine, i even have the same tan carhartt jacket in my backseat 🤣
Great video man, you're right about these cars! Im shopping for an E91 soon myself after owning a bunch of E46's and an E39. Gonna be nice to have something a little more modern for once.
I daily a space grey on black 2009 328i manual as an early college student. She’s affordable and I love her to death. Just a perfect, practical, comfortable and fun daily
I have a 2010 E92 lowered with sport pak and all the goodies, bought in 2012 and your right very cool riding car. Have driven many cars in my time but nothing comes close to the performance or hyd steering. Just completely satisfied with this car. I'm planning on keeping it till the wheels fall off. BMW ownership and (who know) how to keep these car in top condition, ownership is great with this car.
I absolutely love my 2011 (2012) BMW E90 328i with xDrive and Executive Package. I picked it up with only 84,000 KM and haven't looked back since. The silver exterior with black leather interior and woodgrain trim is such a beautiful combination.
@@rihitsaundankar3172 bro... mine is probably 50ish hp over stock which is the absolute MOST you will get out of the n52 without boost and 5.0s leave me like I'm standing still and scats get away slowly. Anything with the N52 is not a drag car, they are just to be used and abused while providing a good experience.
Great car! I think this car will appreciate over time. It's the last of its kind. And its power to weight ratio is very similar to the E36 (which I miss). Although the E90 is slightly heavier, it's way more stiffer than the E36. I have a white m-sport as well but automatic, looking to manual swap it. If anyone is looking to do any track days with this, I would turn off the power limiter due to brake temp. It was pulling power after some 15-20 minutes of heavy load. Apparently, this car doesn't have actual brake temp sensors, but performs calculations to predict what your brake temps would be based on the current driving conditions. So after finding that out, I deleted it. This car has so many operations based on the braking system, like the e-lsd diff. And also, it has a brake drying system in wet conditions. It will lightly and periodically apply small braking force to dry the rotors when it's raining. There is a surprising amount of engineering and technology systems built into this car.
Bro you just explained ALOT!! I wondered why my brakes squeak a little in the rain when im going slow(like drivethrus/parking lots) I thought I needed a brake change. But after hearing this im going to take a look at he brakes and if they are still biting then im gonna keep riding. But like everyone on this video is saying this is a great for anyone getting into BMWs. This was my first and definately wont be my last!
Awesome car!! I own a 2011 328i coupe with M sport in white and saddle brown (similar to yours but just in coupe form). 107k miles and is just a rock! Super reliable and honestly alot of fun to drive. I also own a 335is convertible and its really a toss up for which one i enjoy driving more. Anyone that knocks these cars has never driven one.
The manual 328i/325i 's are really great cars! I have a manual sport package 2006 325i and I would not trade it for anything! If you are looking to make a little more power, you can do the 3-stage intake manifold retrofit (with a tune) and Euro Style air box. It also does not really affect fuel economy.
I agree awesome car, I have 2010 E90 325 lci exaactly like the one in the video , it came with three stage manifold and double disa valves from factory , can;t see myslef partying ways with it.
@@paulolsen6870 Usually sport package equipped cars have style 161 rims, sport suspension, sport seats, sport steering wheel and a increased top speed.
Congrats and welcome to the club! My DD is a 2011 328i xDrive (E92) and I'll be rolling through 300,000 kms in the next few days. Definitely a solid car to DD, but be proactive about your maintenance. I recently just refreshed and did a whole bunch of stuff to give you an idea: control arms, sway bars and endlinks, springs and shock/struts, engine and subframe mounts, coils and plugs, wheel bearings, upgrade brakes to 335i and SS lines, coils and spark plugs, O2 sensors, accessory drive belt kit, front crankshaft seal with guard, valve cover and gasket, water pump and thermostat, assorted polyurethane bushings, mechatronic sleeves, guibo, mickey mouse coolant hose flange, vanos cleaned, fresh fluids. I'm upgrading to the 3 stage intake manifold and will be doing the Bimmerlabs tune...I can't wait!
@@santopak2545 the clutch was slipping, had that replaced at a shop-pricey. Done a few things myself, valve cover gasket, vanos solenoids, eccentric valve shaft sensor, non-return oil filters (I forget exact name), starter, some suspension bits, It definitely adds up,
In 2024 and this car despite its age looks razor sharp. The body lines , that Alpine white paint looks fresh. I am actually looking at 3 series Coupe , BMW straight 6 with or without the turbo depending on the condition. I always liked these cars , RWD , never grabbed a BMW mainly because at the time it just wasn’t an affordable and reliable enough car for me. At this point , looking at the over styled , over the top looks and tech that’s currently being released from BMW and all other car manufacturers, snagging a low km older analog BMW is going to bring me back , I am leaning toward to a 328i Hardtop convertible or just a hardtop coupe with low mileage, well looked after and I’ll continue to keep it running beautifully, put in some work if & when I have too to steadily improve it. Overall just a classic car that to this day looks beautiful! Appreciate the video! That 4 door look’s real nice
It’s a hidden gem. I’ve had mine over 5 years and its been pretty reliable. Space gray on black with the non-m sport package. Ironically, I put a radiator in it Sunday and the clutch went out this morning…
@@stevecariggillio4139 168k and counting. I drive it moderately hard, don't really beat on it but don't take it easy either. I got 165k on the original clutch.
I got a 128i, same powertrain as the e90's but a little smaller car. Little better on fuel so I really like it for commuting. Very clean and nice example of an E90 you got there.
@@GillK95 I really like it as a daily. Its room enough for me, but I am only 5'7" and skinny. Fuel mileage is 7-8L/100Km on highway. I think it's around 11-12L/100Km city. I usually average under 10L/100km combined.
I love the 128s! I wanted to buy one before I got this. The perfect e90 spec popped up so I had to get it. I also like that the e90 can fit more aggressive wheels and tires
I think a manual e90 328i is simply the best all around, practical daily driver for a real driver. They feel great to drive, have a solid build, run forever, great fuel economy, fun and good looking. You can't beat it. Mine has 190k miles I've had it since it had 90k 7 years ago and love it. I never have to worry about it and it provides a great experience every time I get in it
I have a 2006 bmw 330i 6 speed manual 168k miles. When im ready to buy a new car im going to get a newer n52 powered car like this one i just love the engines.
Really thinking of getting 2010 328i for my first bmw car to experience and upgrade within time at first wanted to go for a 5 series but ended up deciding on going for 328i to begin with
Nice car. This is a great platform. Also have a LCI 6MT RWD E90 but in vermillion red. Love it to bits. Nice to see someone appreciate it and not put shitty Ali Baba ‘mods’ on.
Nice video and spec bro. I daily drive a 2011 328i xdrive and I love it, I installed sport seats and steering wheel with a set of style 286 wheels and is perfect to me. It's a fair car that does everything well up to that point that you don't need anything else IMO. I'm a fan of this bmw era, I feel like the new ones (okay besides the M ones) are losing the definition of what a car is.
@@santopak2545 I have a 2008 with 124k miles, I've had it for 6 months and I've spent about $1000 on a radiator and some smaller things. Everything that bolts to the engine will fail eventually, mine has had basically everything under the hood except the engine itself. But it has never failed to start and drive well.
Just got my dream 2012 328 wagon, 63k mi, soon as i take it off the lot, next day Tpms went haywire, passenger module light wont to away, care wash flooded passenger footwell.. But it's better than a oil leak
I have a 325i and a 335i, and the handling advantage of the N52 car is worth the loss in torque. I love my 335i, but I'm going to keep the 325i much longer. Like you said-the last light weight, NA, port-injected, straight-six with hydraulic power steering. I hope people keep sleeping on them, because mine will die one day, and I'll want another!
🤫🤐 I just love my E90. 2008 Titan Silver Metallic with black interior and it's in really good shape. It's not a Toyota but I consider it the "secret supra" so to speak.
I have a 2007 328xi its my first car ive put 3k miles on it it has 169k miles ima have it for a while before i get an e90 m3. it has no A/C cooling though and runs through coolant anyone recommend a good mechanic in Ny/Nj area?
Awesome car! Do you know if the 2011 328xi, awd version handles as well? Can the same Bilstein suspension be installed? Looking for a new daily that can be pushed in the mountains and some aggressive touge style driving.. unfortunately hard to find a clean rwd manual, but came across a 2011 328xi manual without mtec package.. figured I could install new suspension, align it.
You got the b30 which is the refreshed n52, which is a tank and will last you 400k. You mentioned M3 control arms. I have an 11 328xi and I love it but I want to throw on better parts. Will those M3 arms fit my vehicle? What M3 parts can I throw o. My car? Thanks! Beautiful car.
I don’t think m3 arms work on awd cars. Tbh I’m not exactly sure what upgrades you can do. I think you can run camber plates to get the extra camber that the m3 arms provide.
I have a grey 2011 328i and I was wondering where you got the paint matched reflector. I have been trying to find them but I can only find black and carbon ones
Isn‘t the E90 LCI the direct incected N53 engine? I always thought the n52 has the silver engine cover and the n53 the black engine cover. Still one of the nicest limousines ever made 😍
The N52 in the e90 330i got the silver engine cover. Those come with the 3 stage intake manifold. I have an 06 6mt 330i with headers, tube, BC coilovers, and I absolutely love it. The downside is that I get about 15mpg, and it has developed a rough idle :( . It also just recently sprung a radiator leak.
Dang I remember I had an E90 328i (2011) back in highschool, back in 2014. I recommend this for someone who wants something reliable, fun and cheap and want bitches. I have F80 M3 and E92 M3 ZCP, never going back to regular series though.
I have a silver 2007 328i that I got for 5k with 100k miles. RWD but it has both manual and automatic. I love this car so much. I daily her as a college student.
I too have a 2010 but mine has about it at 133,000 mi on it car my interior is gray I'm thinking about switching up the color maybe a little bit my look now outside vehicle is space gray My wheels are also space gray color them
I have an 06 6mt 330i with headers, tube, BC coilovers, and I absolutely love it. The downside is that I get about 15mpg, and it has developed a rough idle :( , I wish I could get 25-30mpg.
@@nnwumeh1 basically same with mine, only difference is 328I. Its always had a slightly rough idle I've never been able to figure out. Probably going to do all new vacuum lines, ccv, and intake gaskets to hopefully fix it. I've never thrown a CEL though so it makes it hard to diagnose.
If not. My car has the non folding rear seats. So I unbolted the rear seat and wiggled my way into the trunk to open the trunk from the inside. Mine had one ground wire that failed. So I just took a peice of automotive wire and crimped the 2 ends so the ground wire to it
Change transmission and differential fluid every 40k miles (60K kms) and you will have transmission shifting like a dream for the whole life of the car. otherwise you will have to rebuild transmission some time after 100k miles.
Crazy picked one up with 81k miles well maintained and potential problems like tensioner r and other things replaced and despite the horror stories this car is amazing 😂😂 if u take care of the car it takes care of u as they say 😂😂 ppl treat these like Hondas they wonder why they got problems 💀
