It might be the way they assembled the carbon, with a weave on the top and the bottom would be static, but what the other guy said about the magnet should work.
For this 11:30 try adjusting the little rubber hood stops on the top of the front bumper (by headlights). That should eliminate the play when pushing down on the hood
It most likely fiberglass with a carbon overlay. Like most aftermarket carbon things for these cars. Unless you paid 2k or more I doubt it’s carbon fiber
Might have already figured it out but did you check to see if a magnet would stick to the underside of the hood? That would let you know whether or not it's steel. 👍
No, I never did. Sometimes I leave the car out in the rain and after seeing how much water pools in the vents, I figured I never want that much water to drip down into the engine bay.
