God bless you gentleman. I barely had the patience to watch this entire video and it 1000% confirms that I'm going to pay someone to do my turbos, intercooler, motor mounts and radiator. Fantastic job. Seriously....i'm fuckin impressed.
Just got done removing stock turbos last night, it would have been an absolute nightmare without your guys’s help as i have never done anything like this before. Going to start on putting the single in and re routing all the lines. Willing to bet ill be watching part 2 for a while today. Thanks for all the work you guys put into these videos, not missing anything and giving a detailed walk through of how to do the swap.
i really like how you dare to take the car apart, since after your explanation you have not done so before. my motto is always, if you dont dare to put a wrench to your car, nothing will ever happen and you will never know how or why :D big ups
By far the most detailed video on the DIY single turbo kit good job guys domt know why I've never see you guys channel before. well I'm subscribed now !👍😃👍
Great videos you guys do, made me want to get a BMW, with yours and kies motorsport videos on DIY even though I'm no where near what i watch in skill and knowledge, gave me confidence to turn a wrench ona Bavarian. Hey I got a question, I'm running MHD stage one (2013 335i xdrive) was wondering if with the MHD and I wanted to go catless DP would that take care of check engine light and would i be able to pass emissions? (Has the option in burbles for oem cat DP and I'm guessing for catles as well, haven't messed with that option) Like the idea of more flow and more aggressive sound, but this is my commuter and i need to be able to get a sticker come inspection time.
if you like you can also send oil samples to the company I work for Petrochoice / universal lubricants. also love your channel I will be buying a Sedan 335i very soon.
Awesome vid!! What intercooler do you have installed in the car in the video? Also for someone wanting to stay Twin Turbo, any recommendations for a good quality set of twins, stage 1 or even stg.2..??
how do you go about deciding the turbo? why a 6266 and not a 6466 or a 5862 or 6062? I understand it doesn't make sense to get a 6870 since you couldn't really use all the turbo, so what would be recommended for like highway pulls like 60-100?
Geez, would it not have been easier to just pull the motor out? Not criticizing, genuinely wondering why you had to do it with the motor still in. Great video!
Great video so far. Looking forward to seeing more. Had to laugh at "Blue dude. What the fuck is that?" Be glad it was blue. I've seen what other coolant does to a bimmer engine. NOT GOOD!
Oh alright.. I figured as much the more I thought about it.. I believe you are doing the same kit I plan on getting for mine. I really wish i had a shop to work on my car in, but you guys are doing great wit this. Video quality and all Keep it up!
Much easier to just drop the engine and trans and then work on the turbos! Thats if you have a lift. Takes 2 hours tops to drop the engine and trans........
Budget Bimmers I got a little smoke out the driver side exhaust, I keep getting misfires on cylinders 1,2 and sometimes 3. I've put new coils and spark plugs and remanufactured injectors and still misfires? Also long crank starts
Hey guys, I'm about to install a single on my e92 with xdrive. How long did the full install take? Do you think it can be done in two saturdays, 8 hours each day? (I have a lift and all kinds of tools at my disposal) And I will not be doing an oil pan gasket or water pump. So I imagine I don't need to remove those for install. Do you have to remove the steering rack for install/removal of stockers? Feel free to PM me or I can send you my number and maybe you can help me out. thanks a lot!
Joseph Franco Yeah I believe you could do it in two days, you have to remove the steering rack to get the subframe out but it’s not that hard. Just make sure you take your time and don’t rush
I live in a communist state that has bi-annual smog check so I rather do upgraded twin turbos to retain the stock look. can I get 500 rwhp on 'upgraded' twins? from who?
