I'm just stacking packs this week Serie A pack weight seems shocking & realisticly there's only 3 or 4 players that make my team. With Ultimate TOTS round the corner it makes no sense to rip now.
Interesting that icons are not as sought after as previous years, except the most meta. Just wondered what people picked for the level 40 rewards, alberto or the fodder pack. Going for the fodder pack myself just for the chance to get fodder tots higher than 93 that can get used in sbcs. Of course fodder packs are generally not so good anyway, not seen one tots from serie a yet…… and of course I dont want to spend all my time in menus or doing sbcs. Not interested at all in any icon sbc due to the number of parts to complete. Fodder is so bad I would even struggle with a 90 rated squad and dont have enough coins to be able to keep buying much fodder….
End of level player is never worth it, because the power curve would have changed and there's new card that are now better or same level for a lot less cost.

I really wish you would drop showing store packs all together. Coins or not doesn't matter. No problem opening them with your hard-core twitch chat. But so many children watch RU-vid and get affected by your mbappe and griezman. My 2 cents
The thing about icons is they are still good you don’t need 3 PS+ to be good. Tots Hansen has 2 PS+ bc flair+ we don’t even know what they do and she’s the best card I’ve used all year. Goalazo Cafu isn’t anywhere close to losing his spot at RB. I think the placebo effect of not having 3 PS+ are taking a stranglehold on people. EA would do well to do what they did with Centurions Eusebio and have the icons below market price would incentivize more people to do them
One more thing you forgot about the icon sbc players is the value of the packs you get back. Which is why EA probably price them so high. Unfortunately most of the packs aren't that great and not worth the price you pay to get the segment done.
EA will only release an icon sbc when nobody wants it anymore. Overpriced and too late just like Hamm and Ronaldinho. If they released these about 8 to 12 weeks sooner people would be more likely to complete them. EA are the sorriest excuse for a gaming company on the planet.

100000% it's all when they're ready and when they know they have got all the profit they can from the card being in packs. Base R9 is obviously still R9, but like 200 other cards have his stats or better now. So people aren't doing him for his price.
I put freckles into an SBC, knew I should've kept her. UCLA legend. I otherwise don't care about either of the paid evos. Thats the issue with paid evos, you're less likely to do them if you don't have a card in club that's worth spending 100k on. Where as the free evos its like "Well I have nothing to lose, let's just throw Tim Weah into this Serie A evo...see what happens". As for Icon SBCs, I feel like the player pick for Icons killed the SBCs. I got Zambrotta out of the icon pick a few days ago. Don't need to do his SBC. I got Abily 5*4* version out of the icon pick, now I don't need to do her SBC. The Icon pick is a cheaper option to try and get good icons without spending 2mil worth.
I did some Icon SBCs, biggest players I did: Ribery and Mia Hamm, both in my team for chemistry tbh! I skipped every icon player after that cause of the grind you have to put in whilst most TOTS cards have better stats and most of them are cheaper than the icon crafts
it's not even about icons. I've dropped to play because - doesn't matter how much time I invest in the game, best cards just not obtainable. not via SBCs not via Market... because EA made it obtainable only via Store. Just for reference, I opened thousands of good packs (from elite div and from WL) - have I packed for half year (more than 50% of the game lifecycle) anything rare what cost more than 1M coins => nope. Yeas I have 5M coins - may I buy card what I want - nope, they extinct or 10M+ . Fodder unlimited, but is there anything rare/good to craft? -nope. So, what the point to play game where you can not achieve goal with your skills (playing/marketing skills), and where abstract/virtual goal is achievable only with real money.

Hey Nate, whats up? Cheers from Brazil! Hope you're well. I understand your point about icons, but i think a lot of them are still very usable on the game. I have Mia Hamm, Zico and Sawa TOTY on my team and they still cook up pretty good. The difference goes player to player, but midfielders and strikers hold their own pretty good. I would love to craft Pirlo and Abily, but doing 20 squads with Ultimate TOTS and futties and shapeshifters around the corner does not seem smart for me. Great content as always, cheers!
90% of Icon SBCs are overpriced because they are released as an SBC a long time after their initial release on the market. 10% are ok... like the Gullit and Sawa SBCs because they were directly released as an SBC when the WW and TOTY icons came out. about the Pirlo card. Great card and SBC if you are a Pirlo fan or creating an Italian squad and don't have millions in your club to buy him. Great! Do the SBC! But... in my case I have around 8 or 10 pretty good midfielders that are not far off from Pirlo's stats. So why do this SBC.
I did the Ronaldo SBC, haven't had any regret doing it. Had plenty of fodder/cards that I wasn't using. TOTS fodder made it easier as well. People say the card is outdated, yes in terms of release, but he is still a beast and has performed well for me.

I did Pirlo yes he was stupidly overpriced but I was saving fodder for someone like him purely for nostalgia and can’t afford him off the market. The game is nearly done anyway so I’m not bothered
Still no TOTS Rafa Silva, they could’ve easily added him to this mixed league squad. By far a top 5 player in the Liga Portugal this season. 14 goals n 12 assists in 30 games. Benfica’s top scorer n leagues top assist maker.

We had terrible Icon sbc's with 90% of players vehind the curve, now its the same, only its a player pick so people are happy. I did the 3, best pulls: pires, toty xavi and nesta. So yeah, expect a pires and no matter who you pull, its still behind the curve. Please note, the "curve" is dynamically adjusted once you played with a player for x games, the player becomes useless. An evil company of historical proportions. One day the truth will be exposed, they will settle in court and do it all over again.
U just have shit luck so stop projecting your anger. Last set of 88+ icons I got winger wildcard Pele and future stars Zico, this time I got fut birthday Butra (who is just fodder but is 1 mill+), and from second one I got Toty Cech. Also packed tradeable tots giroud on Friday and sold for 998k 👍
enough with this game. every year i put time and money into getting some good cards and when i finally get them i watch them swim in the mud lakes of this lousy company. This is my last year doing it. I'd rather spend my time playing something else
I did Beckham and Raul and they both are still better than my tots reus and dembele. I somewhere find that icons are more powerful than any other type of cards.
yes i used to do sbc in past year but this year the icon sbc is below the promote cards！ simplely the playstyles we like to use the card with 3 playstyles

I packed Pirlo during ultimate birthday and he is amazing in game. But he is not worth that much fodder. Icon pick looks far too expensive also. The icons are mostly behind the power curve now that cards have 3 playstyle+
NGL, but even 93 Garrincha still has his place. Just unreal dribbling, passing and shooting. Excels on the wing if you use him correctly. Still a top tier icon honestly and only has 1 PS+, tbh PS+ are becoming a bit of a meme now anyway given every man and his dog has powershot+ etc which are quite crap anyway.
i did Pirlo, i had so much fodder and i was really hoping this SBC would come. One of my favorite players. Hes very expensive, but i dont care i really want to try him!

Exactomundo! It's not about the craftibility. It's about EA not wanting to put something out that is so recent & it puts off people from opening packs. If a Golazo Puskas or Bobby Charlton sbc came out, players will not open packs.
Only icons I've done are toty cech and golazo essien (chelsea fan). Luckily those two were pretty good value and both are still usable - this could be placebo effect due to my love of those guys. Other than that, the only other ones I've considered doing are just way too hectic in terms of number of segments to bother grinding at this stage (e.g. r9 and dinho). That said if they released gullit he would be an auto complete as ive never had him in any game.
The premium upgrades are poor, most players you get out are from the woman’s league. I’m fine with paying for the evo to evolve centurion rodrygo who I have 550 games on from the start of the game. Packed kvar yesterday so will try him as well 👍🏽
It's funny that the last time they had a pack with probabilities like the premium upgrade pack, also known as the 0.7% period where they took the pack down fast because the pack gave out cards from every league with same probability and people got a lot of Messi's because there are not to many high rated cards in MLS, but now they have a women CAF giving 50% of the people and they ignore it completly
I use four Icons TotY Rio (SBC), TotY Vieira and Cech (pulled at the time, 1000+ games on each) and FS Maldini (closing on 1k games) They the spine of my team and give me so much flex in who I include in the team and they’re still pretty much meta
look at pirlo sbc cost, then think of ligue 1 unintended gate, then the new icon sbc and then what pirlo drop chance from the icon pick? or even gullit, r9, patrick etc, not happening

Nothing hits like it used to. Icon sbcs are way too overpriced, sure. Griding the game is awful as with the addition of women weve added 3 top tier players and hundreds of fodder cards making odds of getting a useable card, through the floor. For any promo. Unless you open store packs.
Got lautaro martinez and osimhen in back to back packs. Martinez for the 84x10 and osimhen from the 83x20 from draft objectives. Oh and it was about 3 minutes after I finished the trinity rodmab sbc, I have her 92 tots chem + evo which is soo good 99 pace but I needed that finesse + but I use red 94 raphina tots live as my rw. Osimhen is criminally underpriced!!! He is amazing. Lautaro is better but not by much and if I was to purchase one of the two I'd choose osimhen due to price and performance.
@@adnanassaf350 shit that's a hell of a icon pp. I had some really good icon pp luck this year but it stopped like 2 months ago so I have done like 2 in the last 8 weeks. Out of the first 7 or 8 icon pp in the game I got (all base) gullit, matthaus, vieira and sawa. I can't wait for my base icon henry who I partially evod to have 5*5* skill and weak foot but didn't do the last step in the evo that only gave deadball +. The first two steps gave the skill and weak foot upgrades and so glad I caught it.
@zachclark7516 iam the opposite, I had one good icon pp which was Maldini base before his icon sbc, and then nothing, the last 3 have been: pele WW, cech, and FB Henry, all go straight into my team cuz I didn't do cech sbc, and he's perfect for chem
