I really appreciate that after all the shit EA has done finally Matt, you stood up and shout a bit on them instead of all the "brilliant" things ;) Keep calling them out please as this might be the only way to force them change

I've been playing FUT since fifa 12 and I don't think I've ever felt so disconnected to this game. Every good pack is untradable so even on the off chance you pack someone, you can't get the coins. Promo cards are at the lowest pack weight they've ever been, even TOTW feels hard to pack. Seasonal pack rewards used to be incredible, now we play 90 games for a tifo..... EA even found a way to ruin the best thing about this game - Evos. 90% of Evos are paywalled. The game I grew up with has been ruined by the pure greed of EA and it feels like the end or an era

For a second i thought they've done something clever and good. But then i realised... oh wait. This is EA. Not surprised whatsoever. Absolute pathetic

What also concerns me, is how reminiscent this is to bookmakers deliberately targeting addicts and big spenders to waste even more money… on a PEGI 3+ game. Wtf.

The problem is Content creators will do shareplays of these packs, which EA data sees as "oh look how many people are opening these" and they see it as a success. Until people plain refuse to buy these atrociously priced store packs they will continue. Some of these packs cost half the value of the game itself.

Got back into fifa this month and depressingly enough I had to spend money on fifa points because there was no way I can compete if I don’t purchase some tradeable packs to sell for coins. It’s all so unbalanced. I can trade for coins but it’s mind numbing sitting on a console for 10k an hour. Such a scam.

I'VE JUST NOTICED A MISTAKE BY EA: you can put fs defenders into the fs attacker evo, its not great for most of the cards since it doesn't boost defending however the standout player I have found is Sergio Gomez, he can play as a CDM and the stats are insane 90 rated with 88 pace, 86 shooting, 88 passing, 91 dribbling, 78 defending and 81 physical. Also his worst stat is heading but he will get a heading ps+ as well as acrobatic+ think it could be good

Matt can definitely come up with better names for those packs!

At this point they should just make Ultimate Team free to play

Why is anyone surprised??? This is the same company that had the Messi scandal. On pc all of the totys are extinct, and last year there was a 4 MONTH LONG BUG where the game crashed after you open a pack and get a 82+ . EVERY TIME, FOR 4 months

I bought it when it was on sale in the PS Store. Been playing since FIFA 14. It’s easily the fastest I’ve been dissatisfied with a game

Global limits packs are usually 100k so the most expensive pack they sell in there (2k fc points) is 20 euros and 20 euros×100000= 2million euros/day. And thats only a pack of many

I play FIFA Mobile and they've gone the same way with that. It's virtually impossible to rank up players now unless you spend a lot on the game. For F2P you can open packs using gems you earn everyday but its taking 18k gems to open the good packs. The players you get from the events are untradable and the ones that aren't you can't sell as theres thousands for sale. They've really killed off the game

It just shouts greed to me. The size and cost of the packs has increased immensely - we should have called them out at the beginning. One pack costing the same as the whole game. Incredible. They really don’t care about the customer. How many mistakes and lack of urgency in correcting these - they are quick to fix when it saves their face and not the satisfaction of the customer. Thanks for shouting this out Matt - this game could be brilliant and at times has been, but this isn’t right.

My mate went off the game for a while came back on for Toty opened one 700k pack packed bonmati toty and then got toty frimpong in another low rated pack. I have been on the game consistently and my pack luck has been atrocious the whole year. For TOTY I opened over 600 packs and kept getting low priced toty honerable mentions. Game is a money making scam.

I would be fine with it if the SBC they released were quality. They’re doing a little better this year bc of SBC like Zico, gullit, Best, Eusebio. All players who could change your team. Only other thing they gotta do is just make the pack weight better and select usable players for each promo

Every single day EA proves to us all they care about is selling packs. The game declines in quality year in year out and they don't give flying banana about the customers, they just care about our wallet. The sad thing is no matter how bad their game is and how little they care about us, the player base will continue to spend countless amounts of money on the game, and they're shameless to say that it isn't gambling. It's an absolute disgrace genuinely, I have no idea how they've been able to get away with this for so long and there's absolutely no sign of it ever getting better. I won't be surprised if in the future they remove the transfer market like on madden, so that the only way to get players is through packs.

This is like rocket league and epic games as they are being very greedy and just ignore the fan base almost entirely and try and make us spend lots of money for decals.This is a very low point for EA.

The clue was in the wording for this scam. It was in the coding days ago. They stated then and in the store now, "you are seeing this pack because......" Not "you have earned this pack because......". In the last 3-4 years EA has moved more and more into big store packs, the popularity of lightning rounds both with streamers and their viewers. And with morons like bateson and danny arrons willing to spend thousands of pounds a day on points to rinse store packs, many ordinary folk feel the need to follow suit.

playing fifa since 96. FUT since 2016. This is the first year i haven't pre ordered. Only playing since Early Jan this year. Good for me that my team is what i would consider awesome, not as good as what i come up against (Mbappe and TOYT Messi every game!) but the servers are still the biggest issue. I be happy if there were no packs with points only coins, but were all know that wouldn't happen. Legally it would be good if there was a limit to how much money everybody could spend on in app purchases.

Only crazy people are playing this game now, especially since helldivers has come out and is actually listening to their community and making a FUN gaming experience.

Ea is really nice we got rewarded by store packs for logging on for 30 days and they put 2 for you packs with money where you can pack players that you will never use and you will use for fodder

Been loyal fifa fans since the 90s (yes I'm that old) I can 100% see how the free to play rtg players are suffering its really bad but not everything is bad the daily packs for playing are good the 10 coin and 30 coin packs as a reward for daily logins refreshing would b great too but yeah everyone having fully stacked icon teams at this stage is a big no no it pretty much makes all the other special cards redundant I think they are pretty close to having it figured out just maybe chill with the packs next year ea and keep the daily login/play rewards free 👍

It's really getting out of hand. This is crazy. EA is so greedy i swear. I love ultimate team and i always love to play fifa. But now it's getting so bad and the experience isn't fun anymore now everything ea wants is us to pay for thier packs. Like it not enough to pay for a game every year that doesn't add anything new other than new graphics and one or two feature than the one before it and the features aren't really ground breaking. They make mistakes and they don't do good compensation for their mistakes it's crazy. Last year with the hero compensation they didn't do anything and this year with alot of stupid mistakes specially like Messi toty player pick. as if it's a trend that they need to make two or one mistake every week so we can keep their X page active and send them complains. They need to fix this or it's getting out of hands. They are losing players like this i know they are not losing that much players because there is no other game that provide a game mode like this but it's getting frustrating tbh.

Quit fifa for a few years, came back last year with a whole new way of playing. Me and a friend on the same account, allowed us to keep up with all the bs and make tons of coins from having double the gameplay. While it was fun out first. It died fast. Content was meh at best. Rewards hardly paid out even months ago. We stopped in Oct/Nov. These videos are basically weekly with ea marketing mistakes, game errors, etc. it’s so disappointing to see how much they have ruined this game. Over half a year left on this installment and everyone’s on end game teams.

I uninstalled it today. For many reasons but that new 'Packs for You' is such a joke. I don't think I can get a better team this season, I've got Cruyff, Zico, Socrates, Maldini, Balde, Figo, Henry, there's no point now. I even Evo'd a young Barca team to the max. I'm done.
