@@renoputra5219 depends on how loaded is the GPU, if it is utilized fully then it will not be 100% but e.g. 50%. I just tried Cyberpunk and with 4K max settings with path tracing - upscaling performance with framegen is 25fps to 120fps, i.e. totally unplayable game to smooth performance. They improved also massively image with ray reconstruction, so performance upscaling is tolerable in Cyberpunk. I am satisfied and will continue buying Nvidia graphics cards.

150 Frame Gen hz = game running at 75fps (Frame Gen interleaves game frames and FG images) 75fps = 13.3ms per frame Frame Gen has to wait half of that time before presenting the generated image in between game frames = 6.7ms F1 cars go over 320km/h = 89m/s That is 59cm in 6.7ms. Your F1 car will travel 59cm during the extra input lag caused by turning Frame Gen on.

Dlss 3 doesn't double your framerate unless you are heavily cpu bottlenecked, it typcially gives you around 30-40% more frames. In this video dlss 2 was also used with an unknown quality setting.

@@beachslap7359you are correct, it is not possible to assume that FG will double your refresh rate, because generating the interpolated images themselves takes 2-3ms. It will only double if the GPU has 2-3ms of idle time per frame, i.e. when the game is CPU limited, as you say. However in this case they are telling us the output hz after Frame Gen, so it is possible to obtain the underlying frame rate since we know that FG interleaves game frames and generated images. Therefore if FG is outputting 150Hz, the underlying game frame rate used at that time must be 75fps.

@@beachslap7359@beachslap7359 DLSS has 4 modes ranging in reduced render resolution from 67% to 33%. The DLSS mode in this mode is known. It is DLSS Performance Mode which is 50% render resolution. So on this 4K is actually internally rendered at 1080p. It specifies this on the graphs shown on the learn more link (I think you need learn more generally too) . They also turned on Frame Generation. Double FPS is unsurprising. Your blanket statement about CPU bottleneck is misleading and inaccurate to say the least. CPU is just one factor in resultant DLSS uplift.

@@beachslap7359 You didn't make that point. F124 at 4K maxed out will be CPU limited by any CPU in existence today. Therefore DLSS alone could double framerate by your own claim. It's also running DLSS 3. You said DLSS 2, which doesn't do Frame Gen. So basically the only point you could have actually been in reality be making is that DLSS is the only possible reason.

That is DLAA. It's available in the game and is basically equivalent FPS to DLSS off, because DLAA is 100% render resolution.

the extra latency with that base framerate is about 10-15ms. So it isnt that bad on a casual level

Reduced render resolution to 50% (by using DLSS Performance Mode) and having Frame Generaration turned on are the reasons for increased performance. The machine learning (AI) of DLSS improves image quality of the reduced render resolution.
