I skipped this title when it came out. Probably going to continue to skip it until it's on super-cheap sale maybe. Great video as always Mike. God bless and race on 🏁
@@jcoulter43 thanks so much, my friend! It’s fair to skip this, honestly. It’s hasn’t lived up to the hype. Or the potential. But it’s not terrible, so buying it on sale seems like the smart plan . God bless!
Im glad they are striving to improve... This is the only current rally title we have .... So naturally i want this to be the best available. Side note, RBR released new update with new content. And also AC Content manager has a new road texture update. All in all thanks for the content! Cheers!
I see so many people complaining that they have graphics issues and stuttering problems with there high end gpus and I'm sitting here with a 1660 and have 0 issues
Same here. AMD 6700 XT running mostly Ultra settings at 1440p with FSR Quality and average about 110fps with the worst drops down to about 80fps. Haven't had stutters or frame drops since I returned in January/February *except* for in replay. Pretty rough on day one though.
@@squishinstix I have a 7800 XT with no stutter. Maybe the issue is on Nvidia cards? Edit: I play on ultra settings, 4k resolution, "cinematic" AA, 16x Anisotropic, no upscaling.
Bought it last week, already have 9h cant refund to get the new stuff, oh well. But i've been loving it, my only other "rally" experience with a wheel was the Dakar game, but this games feels much better. I play with a 3070, always smooth
Is it possible in this game to properly tilt the camera in the in car view so that the horizon appears very low in the monitor? I use an F1 seat/positiion rig and I cannot play any rally game because I cannot get the view angle and seat position right (dirt rally 2.0 also not possible to get it right for my rig, I have to constantly look up which hurts my neck and is very unnatural)). Do not own WRC yet but curious if WRC allows for more view adjustments than Dirt Rally.
Wierd, i get no stutters or performance issues. Way better than DR2 imho. And EA not doing a new title every year buy new year DLC is the best thing in the history of EA. Shame they didnt do this with F1 etc, then we would still have all the historic cars.
@@SimRacing604 I'm just sad it doesnt run well for you, as would love to see you do more WRC vids. It is a problem that exists for many. I'm just lucky somehow on this. One thing I will say, is the shaders compile on first time run of the stage, so just make sure you do a run first before streaming :D. I have Asus TuF B550M, Ryzen 5600X, 32GB 3600 Corsair Vengeance, and RTX 3060 12GB, Installed on Crucial P5 2TB M.2 Drive, on Win 10, runs well here in 1440p. One thing I would recommend is setting a hardware FPS Cap at 50 or 40FPS in nVidia control panel and disable V-sync in game. that had a good effect when I was setting this game up with a friend who is also very knowledgeable on gaming hardware setups. I set mine to 40FPS as really, i cant tell the difference between 40 and 50, depends on your eyeballs.
@@garethhughes5745 oh, great idea. Thank you. I’m hoping to do at least some more content from WRC this week, so I’ll be sure to do some recce runs beforehand. Thanks, and happy racing.
If this game had the triple screen and proper VR support i would have bought this dlc instantly, it just feels like they dont even care since they dont want to implement such crucial features for racing game.
@@SimRacersArms lol. Its not actually me being profane. I wish I was that cool, hahaha. It’s actually just a glitch with Premiere Pro. When you use AI to edit your voice it creates weird audio artifacts like what you can hear in this video.
My only issue is that those who already own the game have to pay for the new content whereas the new players get the new stuff as well as the base game for the same price the existing players payed for it last year.
@@HapneyHo I agree. It’s a lot. Remains to be seen what the other two included DLCs are like, but based on what we have to date it certainly seems expensive
I would prefer that they fix VR before adding more cars and tracks... still run really badly with my 3080 and look a lot bader than dirt rally 2.0 Tried a lot of different settings but can t get something even close to AC or Dirt 2.0 or AMS2 ...
on which location? I just played Poland with 99th percentile always at 55fps and above. although the menus were a little stuttery and i did notice a couple graphical glitches floating around for 5 seconds on Poland. No issues in Latvia. 7600X/7800XT/32 GB ram.
I'm not getting the stuters (only micro ones that don't affect de gameplay or frame rate problems I only have a RTX 3060, 8Gb, no 4K monitor. And is ok, nothing that stops me from enjoying, The 2 new rallies are quite fun, especially Poland. As for the cars the 2024 ones really look they drive the same as the 2024 versions but I'm just a casual player I don't really know much. Waiting for the next update to have the Fafe stage, I'm from Portugal and that stage is iconic. I bought it in day one and even not all issues are solved the game came a long way since November 2023.
I have 660 hours on the game, but I aint paying $30 for about 9 cars, 2 rallies + 4 stages, counting of course the other future DLC. I paid about $41.5 for the game on release, for 73 cars, 18 rallies and god knows how many stages. Their math just doesnt make sense. I love the game, but there wont be enough content on this pack to justify the pricing
@@bernardoberner4 660?? Good for you. Thats awesome to hear. This title gets a lot of hate, so it’s great to hear from a true supporter. Out of curiosity (no hate, just asking), why WRC over RBR or DR2?
@@SimRacing604 I genuinely prefer WRC over DR2 because of the content. WRC has all the current machinery racing on the World Championship, has more rallies, has a better career mode(imo). As a massive WRC fan, all of that is massively important to me, I never played much DR2 essentially because of the limited, although good quality, content. As for RBR, Im a console player so unfortunatelly I havent had the opportunity to try it
They released a new season expansion pack without fixing VR. This title has been out for quite some time now and the state that VR is in at the moment is embarrassing. This alienates a whole demographic of gamers, especially given the fact that VR was promised before the release of the game. They switched to a different engine so the stages could be longer, killing off the best feature of the franchise, it's VR compatability.
Triage. Got to fix the stuff that effects everyone first. It sucks but when the team is less than a dozen developers, they cant focus on a small group.
@Exteriti indeed. And thats the entire rally team, so even then so the team gets split up between working on the game, and another working on future content (aka the 2024 DLC and such) Codemaster as a whole used to have over 700 employees and so alot of folk over estimate who actually works on WRC but my info of a dozen comes direct from the social media manager and a few devs I've chatted with. So sadly, with as many issues as there is the team is spread so thin to fix bugs and as such they have to prioritize bugs that effect the most people and thus have the broadest reach
I've read that 3-5% of players regularly use VR or 3-screen, and it seems like every single one of them is always in the comments complaining lol. I have my racing chair in front of my 65" Sony OLED 4K tv, looks great.
