EA WRC + BigscreenVR - Good, or Bad?

Finally getting to use my @BigscreenVR with @EASPORTSWRC
What do you think it will be like? Will the Bigscreen Beyond make the game look good in VR? Or will it perform even worse than the Quest 3?

i use bigscreen beyond on 4090 most settings high with dlss quality with sharpness 100 works ok at 75hz for the most part.. as far as strap i attached apple vision pro strap works pretty good.

yeah the magic word there is 4090. I'd like to upgrade but that's a big ask.

@@nongamerplays new GPU should come out end of year mind as well save till then ill probably sell my 4090 soon to get most of the money back then just wait for 5090.

I bought my 3090 at the height of the crypto bubble and ended up paying way way too much for it. I probably won’t even go with the 50-series idk. I tend to run older games more anyways. Good that the 4090 is so great - more than just a generational improvement over the 3090

It is unfortunate EA released the VR update in such a state. Next time I'll wait before buying an EA product until reviews are good. That being said I've found using DLSS with high quality and the advanced graphics set to Ultra gives a decent experience. I get somewhere around 70 FPS with decent graphics. The game still crashes occasionally but often I can go a couple hours without crashing. I'm using Virtual Desktop over wifi 6 which is far better than quest link even with a cable. I get more crashes with link and at a lower quality. I'm running a ryzen 7 5800x and an RTX 3080 and using a Quest 3. Also, if you're using OpenXR for anything else it will automatically enable it for WRC, which will cause it to crash. You have to disable WRC in OpenXR to prevent that.

Wow so you get better connection wifi6 than fiber cable? I had Virtual Desktop for pc before wasn’t liking it / seemed outdated. Might be worth trying again. I’ve had no crashes. Only thing I experience is dropped frames / low FPS in certain areas. I’ll definitely give that a try if I can play both wireless and better sounds like worth the app cost!

Do you have the Steam version or the Meta version of Virtual Desktop?

@@nongamerplays It's the meta version. There are a lot of Quality settings in it that help as well.

@stevestrible3152 yeah I tried it last night. As soon as the time trial was about to start, the screen went black. And for some reason it kept muting my headphones as soon as I went into the game (launched from VD). I guess I’ll keep trying
