I did the antenna upgrade before my first take off. After 2 months of flying i broke the frame on 5 different places to a point were it was unflyable. I just finished the e010s frame upgrade and it's perfect. Only tools i needed was a pre-tinned iron and the screwdriver that came with it. Easy! Thanks Mark for this great vid.
Mine has worked fine out of the box. I purchased it for my 14year old but tested it indoors. Get about 4 minutes of flight time, video has been pretty good for 25mw. Super fun first whoop. Great gift. I think the newer ones have been improved because mine has the antennas sticking up already.
Great review, I've had mine for a while , ( got it when they first came out.) my original frame is still in good shape , i did poke the antenna through the canopy the second flight. Works great and lots of fun 😎👍
Yes, that is an angry bird!!! I think the problem is your vr006 reception, when you said you can see clearly with ev800d but on vr006 get breakout Nice clear frame, I had one, but get bended in shipping from Banggood
Hi I just got my RedPawasR011.. I did the mods on mine the way you showed. I only been flying quads for about a yr. Now this is my first FPV quad I really enjoy it its a rush. So far so good. No probs. I watched alot of videos about this drone I have to thank you for the detailed info you gave. It helped alot.
kev bradz yes its worth getting for the price. It is getting use to flying in that view. I have to get use to seeing as if I'm in the cockpit. I'm having a blast. My friends think differently now since I been showing off. Can't do any thing special or tricks I can fly down a hallway and threw narrow openings in the next room but I get confused and disoreantaded. Can't see the drone. Brain has to learn from diff. Sight. But I am enjoying from little what I've learned so far. Can't find other dronnies in my town. So its hard to learn from others. I just have to watch alot of utube. And teach my self. Hope this helps. Happy flying to you.
I love mine. I got one of these a week ago w/ the 6 batt/charger pkg. I'm used to flying planes, turning with aileron/elevator, so been retraining my thumbs! But it's fun to fly in the house, flew in a gymn once - that was spacious! The 260 ma batt's are the way to go. The goggles (VR006) work ok. I was hitting the ceiling a lot and broke loose the VTX antenna, it was hard to solder, so small! Had a 9yr old fly it today, he loved it and was getting pretty good. His previous flying was with a 2 axis heli. I think the frame, as flimsy as it looks, is amazingly tough! I let the kid fly LOS while I videoed the screen of the goggles for a DVR setup - haha!
@@Dmn0PT honestly I received mine and I have a lot of complaints. It didn't come with 2x260mah batteries. Now they changed their description to 2x220mah. When I tried to fly it I can barely hover for a minute. Just don't do it. Buy a Santa drone(e011c or H67) and remove the speaker and figurine, then add a camera. Banggood has a sale on the TX06 right now. Pick up some cheap goggles and you're set.
Brandon Scott I amd up buying the new version of this drone called plus. It is a complete new drone and it has acro. For some stupid reason the white version with 3 battery without the classes where cheaper then the red version with only 1 battery. I also bough a vr800 for the same price that the vr006 kit would be so I got a really better googles that I could use on the future
@@GR8SCOTT I had a motor burn out after my 2nd flight. Literally 2nd flight. So I replaced the motors....now I can't use the 260 mah batteries because the thing literally powers off after ten seconds. I can only use the 220 mah that came with it.You ever seen anything like that? I read 260 mah was compatible but I guess maybe it's too powerful and shutting the quad down? I don't know. Anyway, it's absolutely a piece of shit. I do not recommend it either.
@@grumpypoof9648 I hadn't heard of any problems with the 260mah. I haven't tried them yet. Trying to get BG to send them to me but I think I'm better off just getting my money back and putting this camera on a Santa Whoop. Then I'll fly it line of sight and I bet it will do a lot better without the battery. If you're inclined, you might try direct soldering the motor wires. You'll drop weight and have a better electrical connection.
mine should arrive tomorrow. this package is appealing to me because of the price. i haven't flown anything FPV before and i have no equipment for it. i will be making the mods, if not others. i have a bunch of batteries with a micro-losi connection, so i may solder on a connection for that.
You really want to make this better, update the motor to 19000kv motors and take that silly cover off. You will be surprised at how much better it performs with even modest weight reduction. A single rubber band holding up camera is strong enough to keep it in place and for it to flex if it does hit something. You are more likely to damage antenna than the camera. The key is to take as much weight off as possible to minimize weight. Every little bit counts.
DroneRacer101 i just realised there now but, CONGRATS ON 4K SUBS MY DUDE!!!! YOU ARE GROWING SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FASSSSSSSTTTTTTTT (see how i overemphasised it cuz that guy doesn’t like when you do that) 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊
When you cut the back sides of the battery holer you should have stopped and not cut it along the bottom and removed it. If you cut the sides and bend the flap it keeps tension on the battery so it doesn't move around.
I actually did the antenna mod on the remote instead of the quad , as didnt want a sharp antenna sticking out with my kids chasing the drone around, definitely has increased range. If you did both the remote and quad im sure it would be even better.
Is the sweet spot of the channels always the same ? Is there another alternative to this quad ? i saw there is one similar quad with altitude hold. is the Eachine E010C compatible with the E013 Kit googles? So when my e013 is defective i could just buy an E010C? IS there a way to get like 8 minutes out of the e013?
I'd highly recommend the transmitter mod. My transmitter antenna was curled. It takes 2 minutes to open the transmitter and straighten the antenna. After that I can fly two rooms further ..
why not connect the battery first then wiggle it in? is there any prop upgrades available? I think 2mm larger 3-blades would be better, looking around if I can find some
Eachine seems to sell newer models because the motors are not soldered on the board anymore, instead they use plugs. that is very pleasant if you want to change the frame like you did :)
I sure enjoy mine ..... I've crashed several times & had a run away, but my frame is still in one piece, but my antenna needs some help 😑... Great fun, indoors and out...😎👍
I got myself one due to the fact my custom eachine aurora frame is too strong for a small apartment lo and wantrd something simple to fly around in the winterl. I didn't have any issues with the distance as I flew in and out of my apartment. The frequency change is a pain. All my quads use freq A ch8. I did like the frame info. Are the batteries you recommended same as stock or more powerful? The one that came with mine was missing all markings and only thing I have to basee it I. Was your video and banggoods frequently bought together
Yo are there eachine box goggles with audio out? I'm looking at all the models but cant find any only the 200d but its the same price as an aomway.. cheaper solution?
You don`t get used to it! And it is bad! I wish i saw this video before I bought the thing! At least I got the without googles version! Love your vids though! Bought the ET-100 after your video, and its awesome! Thank you!
I just bought this drone and fpv signal is perfect and video in full color until I push the throttle. If I just touch the throttle it totaly looses signal.. Anyone knows what could it be?
There is an option to connect the flight controller with your computer and Betaflight will send the control through to your PC for a simulator. I haven’t done it with this one but it should work.
You clearly have an issue near the kitchen looking area (bar?). Not sure if you have a breaker or fridge there those tend to mess with wireless signals
Yes, that is always the area with the most breakup. But I fly LOTs of different drones in the basement so I hav lots of examples to compare what is good and what is bad. But since I recorded this a year ago I have heard they have improved the model a lot.
DroneRacer101 sorry wasn’t defending the model :) I don’t know anything about drones though I’m going to buy this as my first. I’m a network hardware specialist though so it was more one of those mindless observations people make about things they know about (like a mechanic commenting to a stranger about whatever their annoying belt whine means lol) thanks for the video it was quite helpful and I’ll make sure to do the hacks. If I actually use it and it doesn’t turn into a forgotten hobby I’ll build a drone and get a real transmitter with a better budget set of goggles. If you happen to get bored and want to make a 300 dollar budget guide that comes with a few extra batteries and all that let me know lol. Either way subbed
i'm mainly just getting it so i have a base in the hobby from which i can expand (gonna grab a spektrum something or other and an Inductrix FPV) and upgrade from there
I must have the newer version too, got the 'plug and play' motors and cam, but the yaw is still a bit touchy. but these cheap things are probably inconsistent. still fun!
Question, can i use a 72ch fpv goggle with a 48ch drone? I was thinking about getting a Eachine Wizard X220 and the Ev100 goggles, but i dont know if they are compatible.
You convinced me to order my first quad (Eachine E013 kit with some extra batteries and spareparts). I know I'll have my hands full with learning how to fly it FPV. But I was wondering if it is possible (later down the road) to upgrade to an Eachines E10S and fly it with the receiver and FPV goggles that come with the E013-kit? Or is the E013's receiver not compatible with different drones? Cheers and many thanks, keep up the good work!
The goggles it comes with will work with any analog video transmitter, so most “racing” drones. But unfortunately the radio will not work with anything else. If the budget allows I think the Tiny6X is going to be a much better long term option because the radio will work with FrSky models too. More on that soon. bit.ly/Tiny6X
Hi do you think you could solder a different type of battery connection on so it could take say syma X11c batteries e.t.c so hard to get batteries in the UK over 150mah but I have dozens for my X11c and they fit in the bay I've checked already.
DroneRacer101 Thanks for the tip. And what about the E011 which has larger motors? I could mount a camera on there myself? Even better or should I stick with the E010S?
DroneRacer101 I watched your video with all the quadcopters you recommend in each category for 2017. I went with the Kingkong Tiny7 over the E010S. I ordered the advanced package with all the extra batteries and stuff. I like it because of the fact it is a little bit larger, it has a cool and strong design, it can bind with my Taranis for sure and it is not too expensive. The camera is a little bit worse than the E010S according to your reviews/comparisons but I just have to take that for granted. The KingKong ET100 was also on my list but because of the overly bright camera I did not buy that one. Maybe in the future when they upgrade to a better camera. Thanks for all the tips. I think your recommendations are spot on and the best/most reliable! It really helped to make my decision.
Help!!! Changed the band and channel as per your video. When I scan the goggle all I get is a black screen ?? Hooked up a 7" monitor Still getting the same thing. What am I doing wrong. As with all of this stuff, it worked until I started messing with it. Thank you in advance for your response. Ben Herr
Got tired of messing around with it, Changed camera from my F36 on to it, worked fine. One day will take a closed look at the camera.... Not likely! Thanks again for the help. Ben Herr. PS Great work on the videos, even I can understand them!
i like the frame part , have the same problem , solfed with a litle tape , dont have the gogles , i orderd the vr2 gogles , they are on ther way , already got the 260 batarys today its a big + indeed , for fpv i now yous my laptop in cobination with a cheap 5,8ghz reciever , this was intended for a phone , but i saw online that it had a nice link to the pc , and i like it , its like 15 bucks
What I see..by no means am I an expert...is this: install better motors and install a wolfwhoop vtx camera and you will have a good Quadcopter. It would be really really good if it had betaflight.
Hi! I am new to the quad copter world and am looking to buy my first cheap quad copter... I have been looking at the 8807HD (mavic copy) as well as the Eachine E013 (tiny fpv drone). They cost about the same but they are not very similar. One is tiny, the other bigger. One comes with googles, the other connects to you phone. However, I don't see why the tiny one costs about the same as the bigger one - with none of them having very good cameras. Is it that the tiny one is especially made for fpv (since you get the googles)? Also, is the fpv for the smaller one better (less laggy etc)? Can someone who is better at this explain what each respective quad copter is good/bad at? Thanks!
Love the work you do for sure. However for "Us Guys" that are mot very computer savvy or are not "Electronics Hip" the new quads, transmitters Etc. have taken the fun out of the hobby for me. The RC Group "Help" is way to complicated for me to find any info. that I can understand. Sadly, I will most likely not be able to move forward in this hobby. I want to thank you for your good work and responses to my questions in the past.
That one of the great things about RC. The good old stuff still works. My Spektrum radio still works with my plane. No FC, no computer, just a receiver, servos and a motor. And it can be just as fun as a racing quad. You can still FpV it. Or helis are mostly all mechanical. So yea, a Drone is basically a flying computer. And if you don’t like that there are still a lot of fun options. Heck, did you see the FPV car I reviewed? That was an absolute blast.
Hello and great video!! I bought this same drone and 10 batteries lol. I've become quite the good flyer actually!! I noticed it doesn't have an easy turn. It doesn't matter if you hold left yaw a little or a lot. It turns the same either way. I was wondering if they have a smaller affordable drone that's a little better than this that you know of.
I went to change the blades right after watching this video and did the antenna upgrade. now the drone wont even lift off the ground... Im not sure if i put the blades on to rough. they did not come off as easy as yours did lol. mine were almost seeming like they were glued on
That is one of the issue with this. It just doesn’t yaw well. There are several good options. I’m assuming you don’t have a radio. Do you have a budget in mind?
If I can spend under $300 and get a good Mini drone Tiny whoop drone that would be great! I fly this drone almost every day, And now it's broke for some reason... I am not really interested in a good pair of goggles as even the ones that this Eachine came with are sufficient! And i found a flysky controller that seems good. not sure if it would work with a tiny whoop or any other mini drone. but id rather spend the money on the drone than the goggles or controller. Im not looking for something to go long range. I only fly it inside my house from room to room chasing animals and running through obstacle courses lol
You have a TON of options then. Check this out. DroneRacer101 Best Drones of 2017 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VNbUTp65WgM.html It’s bigger but I love the et100 so much. I also so my favorite Tiny Whoops there. But there are some new REALLY good ones coming. I have this one on the way. bit.ly/EachineQX65
Wow!! thanks so much!! Ive got some research to do. lol thanks for helping me out! this is a huge deal for me as I am on a budget with a baby on the way lol! If i have any more questions Ill be coming to you!! thanks again for helping me out! I appreciate it more than you know.
Well... Look like it's not too shabby. Perhaps, as someone that never got a decent FPV equipment, I might not feel the lack of quality, but right I just need to wait for my E013... Bought it in 2017-08-24 and it might arrive between 2017-10-06 and 2017-10-24... Unfortunately, some stuff seems to take an obnoxious amount of time to arrive here in Brazil. I wonder if save up to buy some different drone that could use the goggles or if I upgrade the goggles right now.
DroneRacer101 Alright. Thanks for the suggestion! ;D Meanwhile... Udi U839 just reached 183 flights and the FQ777-124 got only 12 flights. Now that you mention about yaw control, I used to have problems with Udi U839, because it extremely fast with a very little input and it's hard to make it yaw gently. Meanwhile, the wildly quick FQ777-124 is pretty docile and proportional on the yaw. I wonder if it's possible to transplant the FPV camera from the E013 to other small drones or if it's kinda hard... Because, I believe the camera is just connect in parallel with the drone's control board with the lithium cell as main power source... Unless there is some kind of 5 volts booster/voltage regulator there. Is it possible confirm that?
Sooo those 260 mah batteries cause mine to shut off after 10 seconds of flight. Power off. The 220 mah is all that works. Anyone ever heard of anything like that happening? I'm a total noob....
+william I wanted it to be great. But it just wasn’t. In the end the Frog was a lot better. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ovcPnOx9fXQ.html
OK fair enough, Ill check that drone out too though the E013 does have the benefit of being pretty tough, or at least it looks it thanks to the ducted fans.
I think the problem is your not in acro on a custom controller. Push button rolls lol, this is a joke as far as I know it's not even compatible with multi protocol. It's fine as a grab and go, but you start using push button flips and you get laughed out of our mini whoop sessions.
I fly Whoops in angle. I have heard the later released have improved this model a lot. There are better options for more money. But I would still take this over anything from a department store.
@@SimRacer101 you are right about that, is this one capable of angle control? What I was getting at is we fly our whoops with tarannis qx7 and a multi protocol, we use the e011 modded with a fpv cam. I was about to buy one of these and the issue is I can't use my tarannis controllers as far as I read. The functions are specific protocols that only toy transmitters are capable of unless someone comes up with some sort of open source fix.
