Bought one a few weeks back to get a feel for drones and to learn how to fly before diving in with bigger money. Its been brilliant :) Just wish I had ordered a few more batteries !
Glad you like this as was looking at this drone to get a feel for flying as a beginner to use for my channel. Thanks, your enthusiasm for this little fella made me happy and want one👍
Just saw your glowing review of this drone. Would you still recommend this now a few years later or is there a better option in the same price & quality range due to tech advances? Thanks & I hit that subscribe button even before seeing this giveaway.
@@SirensAndAlarmsOfNorthernILdude, this drone is a toy drone and that’s it’s purpose, don’t go comparing it to the mini 2 and expecting that for 50 bucks lol.
And they have anti collision too. But I like the collision. Pegged up in the nock of a tree branch. The old fashioned way. They do sound like little whipper snippers (grass trimmers). 14+ 🤭 Time to go AntMan...
@@dosomestuff1949 yeah, I had mine first surrendered under the wheels of a driver for hire in the middle of the night. Not to worry, so glad I bought a set of two. We're all on a learning curve. The first ones now back at the chop shop for an overhaul. But it's looking kind of grim.
@@dosomestuff1949 well off course I don’t expect it to do what a Mini 2 does. The problem is that they advertise it to do things DJI drones do. That’s literally lying and someone would buy it thinking “oh wow I am getting all those functions for cheap!”. A lot of brands advertise the truth. All I am saying is that they gotta advertise it like a toy drone, and not a serious drone
Great review! I was about to order the e520s model because of the GPS. This is the only review that helped me decide to buy e58 instead and learn to fly full manual without any automatic features, beafore going to a better one. Plus its cheaper. Thanks!!
hi guys , buy it on BANG GOOD .COM or even Ebay..(ex : £40 with 2 battry) you get it much cheaper than amazon or other rc shops.. with packs of 1 , 2 or 3 battrys.. and its very light and feel like a cheap plastic.. but fuck it its nice and u can fly on FPV at list.. no need to spend 1000's of pounds..isnt'it.. thanks
Depending on where you buy from, depends on what you get with yours. Mine came straight from the maker and has a case instead of the plastic clam shell. Fun little item that sounds like buzzing bees to the dog. Fun to see just how high a 120lb dog can jump in the air. With the drone about a foot out of reach. :-)
These copy cat droneXs are rubbish... Got one, ... arrived today with delay with 1 of the joysticks already broken. Regret spending my money in this piece of sh!t
Brilliant video. Just picked up one from a nearby second hand shop. $A30 - can't go wrong! Looks to be in perfect condition & came with 2 batteries too. Test flights have been in a gentle (and slightly stronger) breeze which it/I was struggling with. Managed to fly it from one end of the footy field to the other ok. I put my SD card in but can't get the video to appear on my phone yet though.
Probably the best review of this drone that i watched i brought it and I'm glad you made such a great review !!! I do not understand the dislikes but i subscribed and liked
Dislikes do not bother us in the slightest, considering the high number of views the dislikes are irrelevant in comparison. They're very likely placed by incompetent operators who can't fly anything without a GPS...
Hartford Connecticut I just purchased e58 drone x... For my Grandson I'm waiting for the first crash report..... At 5 years of age I guess he's doing okay we're four days deep into his learning and no bad news

Hello! Great review as always! shame about the faulty camera button on the remote. I would like to ask do you have an eachine e56 (one hand) remote? can it bind? i would like to add it to the portable and novelty experience :)
+Eddie D. Thanks for the comment and an interesting idea, I do have one of those controllers and will try when I get a chance. I would imagine that almost all Eachine transmitters and drones are interchangeable as they're all based on virtually the same platform :)
Thanks mate, good review, a little more detail on the controllers and icons on screen would have been helpful. I found any wind will cause problems with this drone but having fun none the less
Issues i had while owning this: 1. The smallest wind gusts will throw this drone out of your sight. 2. When flying over a bush or tree, connection will lose and it wont “rth” it’ll just crash somewhere... 3. In fast mode, It goes lower and lower to the ground. If you make a mistake it’ll crash. 4. When the lights are flashing for low battery, After a few minutes, It won’t land, It’ll fall down instead *it’s meant to clone first generation Mavic Pro* Please pin!!!
Yes as mentioned in the review, it doesn't have RTH because it has no GPS. The drone will descend in fast mode if you're flying with wind or if the battery isn't fully charged. Remember, this thing costs 1/10th of a real DJI Mavic Pro, so your expectations should be realistic. Thanks for the comment!
So my mother found me a drone x pro at a garage sale, paid $20 for it. Flew it around inside maybe 2 minutes. I then fully charged the battery for the first time, went outside, and hit the auto take off. I proceeded to watch it fly away all on it's own. Two days later I see a post on a local group, and what do ya know, it's my little drone, was even the exact direction I watched it fly in, but how in the hell did it get 2.1 miles from home on a 1s 500mah battery, dead of a Minnesota winter. It works fine no damage, but for wifi evidently doesn't work anymore. Both surprised and impressed by the distance at least.
thanks for filming this, now i know more about my drone, because the instructions in chinese/englisch we do not understand here in the netherlands, your video say it all, now i also know where i can put my sd card, i will fly tommorow with it the first time, i did it at home, but is a bad idea haha :-) one question aboud wifi, do you need a internet connection on your phone? because i dont have that, only prepaid, so i pick up wifi everywhere. thanks for answer in front, god bless you .
hello! i love your videos! learned a lot from them! just a question, would you suggest this one or the jetblack drone or the h37 baby elfie? I'm going to get one before my trip to vietnam which is the end of this month. I know none of them are even close to be a real photo shooting drone, i would still love to see what video it can take at 20m above halong bay! thanks in advance ;)
Thanks very much for your comment! I'd recommend the E58 over both of those two other drones, it is a much better drone in terms of flyability and video quality www.droningon.co/eachine-e58
sorry to bother you again :P I saw you mentioned VISUO XS809HW below and there's another video that claims the video is better on visuo than on e58. is that true? also i was browsing on bang good and saw flytec T13 ($40) and eachine H99D ($47) are on sales. if i have to pick 1 (from h38, xs809, t13, h99d) which would be a better buy? i like the size of e58 and particularly of t13, but if there's a huge sacrifice on handling and video quality than id rather get the bigger one. sorry if i asked too many questions, im really new to drones...
*We've just announced a BRAND NEW GIVEAWAY for TWO Eachine E58 Drones!! TO ENTER SEE THIS VIDEO: **ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vi_HoP_d6oI.html*
I received mine recently and was a little shocked that I may have been ripped off but I don't think so now having seen your report. I had naively thought it would have GPS. I am waiting for a decent day to try mine. This report definitely helps me learn the features as the instructions that come with it are charming but completely unintelligible! It does appear to flip if you press the button and use the banking joy stick to tell it which way to flip. Thanks
@DroningOn any idea what the actual height limit is? Standard FAA limit on drones is 400 ft (~120m) but it looks like a LOT less than that from your video. My best guess is in the 50-100 ft range but I wondered if you measured at all? TIP - if you don't have a portable altimeter, just bring a friend, a protractor (or {homemade} sextants if you have some) and a tape measure and do some trig to find out. (ie 100 ft apart, 45 deg (both of you) = 50 ft (I found this to make it easy, select "B C a" in the list). keisan.casio.com/exec/system/1273850421
Hi there ,great Vid with advice. and explanation ,I have reviewed other footage from other sites ,I bought One ,simply cos I can't afford a Mavic as yet .Thankyou .
My drone x pro would do nothing that yours did. ALL I WANT IS A DRONE WHICH HOVERS ON THE SPOT. This failed just like the others I've owned. Then one of the motors failed within the hour. Useless and pricey.
@DroningOn, Awesome review ! I enjoyed watching and listening to your informative video . My Drone X Pro looks indenticial to your Mini E58 Mavic , Someone gifted me this Drone X Pro last Christmas. I just start using it last night , I just kept crashing , I wasn't able to hold the drone steady .The drone kept drifting . Eventually I will figure it out .lol Thank you for the info . I think in your video you talked about trimming when the drone wants to drift . I just have to get use to the controls that helps to prevent drifting .

drningon i have a problem i got this dron but just hit in fact how to fix it and i ordered something else with 3 batteries but those two i put it to be full and stuffed 5 min and no lamp was lame and now when I put in the dron will not do what it was, please explain to me what to do myself how to recalibrate the dron
I'm probably wrong, but I think the fake antenna on the transmitter is actually to hold a vertical smartPhone types to view the camera feed...works for me...
Picked one of these up from a local who couldn't get the hang of flying it. I wasn't impressed to discover that there was NO SD SLOT. Took the drone apart thinking "hey, maybe something let go inside..."... nope, no slot for an SD card at all. So dumb lol
Been thinking of buying a drone. I think I want to start with this one for my first drone. After watching this video I think you might have swayed me to take the plunge. I want the Mavic Mini, but thought I should start with something less expensive to start. thanks for the great videos.
It's tiny! A great casual, budget friendly alternative - Even good for learning on. Thanks for sharing! Edit: Holy sh*t that thing is stable... You'd think it's using GPS lol
Pleasure dude, its a great little drone indeed, I was so impressed!! There was a slight breeze that day and despite that, it just sat there beautifully static!! Its a shame that the footage isn't better quality but besides that its so good!!
Hey +TheMight Thor, honoured to get a comment from you dude, its been a while! Indeed no shame at all, but I wonder if the Chinese government won't stop copyright infringements because they get a cut from all exports, and export is their biggest industry! But it is seriously cute, I normally hand out my drones but I'll be keeping this one :)
TheMighty Thor well thats where You are wrong.. its NOT the exact copy of it everybody is looking to get a nice shape mini drone and able to use FPV.. who care if its a copy as long as it work well.. and also more afordable than the Mavic Pro.. haha anyway if you want something very good you dont need to over pay the price.. lots of web site sale DIY RACING DRONE or even leisure drone for cheap and most upgradable.. or get a better one than mavic..lol i got a Connex Falcore and the mavic feel CRAP next to it.. mavic is slower , heavyer.. and more pricy.. mean 👎 RUBISH i paid £370 for my Falcore and i dont regret.. my friend baught a Dji mavic and he paid nearly £800.. and i can tell he wish to fly mine instead.. u see and you Cant carry the Mavic in your pocket thats a LIE.. way to big and ennoyingly heavy.. so anyway im glade they done that mini Mavic "look like".. it look nice and mini size.. afordable for people who want a ready to fly drone to start i'd say.. the thing is mostly baught because it fly via FPV.. thats the main reason i think cheaper and easyer than solding or pluging beats for most of the beginers so SHAME ON YOU for being close minded.. 😛
Awesome you are great! I ordered 2 today for near nothing hope they turn out this good🤞 I will need spare batteries or find a faster charger bc they take too long to charge in my opinion.
The problem is not that this is a bad drone for (hopefully no more than $40). It is a generic, cheap, light-plastic chinese drone. Total gumball-machine quality. The probalem is all the ads under this name, the Blade720 name, and Drone X Pro name that all claim that there is some great engineer that deserted from DJI to build a drone just as good, if not better than a $1,000+ Mavic for just $99. All deception. This drone has nothing to do with a Mavic Pro, has no sensors, no 4K, no gimbal, no GPS, etc., etc. It is literally the same as any drone under $50 that you find on Banggood or Amazon.
Ha, ha, had lots of fun watching the video. Just bought the thing before I was watching your video and now I'm waiting for the delivery with some anticipation. Maybe I got it wrong but it seemed to me you mentioned it comes with a SD card. I don't think so, I bought the 2mp version and to my knowledge it only has a SD slot, the card you can purchase separately. So it shows a poor bit rate even with SD card?
No in the review I state that they both have an SD slot, I didn't mention anything about cards. Glad that you enjoyed the review, the footage stored on card is always higher resolution and bitrate than footage streamed to your phone.
OK. Yes, the stream is always poorer, I was just wondering about the video bit rate with a SD card. Doesn't really matter, flying like you did is fun enough with this little toy and with the limited range and stability (surprisingly good in no wind environment though) no one could fuss too much about video quality.
hi....mine has just arrived.....but cant camera not working with my nokia 8....wifi is on says connected to "FPV_XXX" dint have great mobile data coverage here though.....would this be the problem.....any ideas guys??? (#techno novice;)
I see you had fun reviewing this one. My first drone was the DJI Tello - 6 weeks ago. Since than I got the Mavic Pro and finally end up with the Mavic 2 Pro. All of this just because my 13 year old neighbor was flying his little toy outside and I got hooked ..... :))))
What is the difference from the Blade 720? They look the same. I can't believe you tube is allowing scam advertising now. Commercial claims they were made affordable by a disgruntled ex employee. They say they have a 1000 yard range which is a big fat lie
I bought one, but never again. Little control in any wind and bits kept falling off. First, the blade protectors fell off, then the feet. So now it won't take off unless the surface is mirror-smooth. Then, some screws under one of the arms came loose and fell out. Finally, the SD card came out after an emegency landing; never found it.
Hello! I own an Eachine E58, but cannot find the right size of micro sd card needed to record footage. My drone is not able to record live footage, so I need a micro sd card to record. What size of micro sd card did you use to record footage? I would really appreciate some help :) Loved your video by the way. It was the reason why I bought this drone in the first place.
i have bought a E58 drome but unfortunetly it never flew. All rotors seem to work well and I have checked the blades set up but it will not lift off. It just keeps going round in cicles on its right front leg. I have also calibrated it. Can anyone help
Well.... Yes I won one, but it never turned up. I ended up getting a Selfie Stick and not the drone. I was gutted as wanted to give the drone to my 13 year old Son. It was not the competition holders fault as it was Banggood that were sending the prize drone straight from them. Again I was gutted. Never used the selfie stick.
Oh no that's frustrating, with which content creator did you win it? Banggood should send a replacement if it didn't turn up, they're really good at that.
I won it from a RU-vidr I am subscribed to. I told him what I had received and he was shocked. It was that long ago that I have not even followed it up and no point doing so as banggood will probably ask me to send the selfie stick back and send the drone once they get it back. I am on a low budget so cannot afford to do that, hence reason I was over the moon I won the Eachine E58.
You didn`t show which trim button you pressed to stablise it. There are 4 trim buttons so if if drifts left which one do you press to correct the drift. Later on in the video you say 2unfortunately its drifting quite a bit" so it isn`t trimmed properly. Another crap video.
Hi, how do you connect the drone to the phone? I managed to connect to WiFi and it says no internet connection but when I open the app nothing happens. How do you trim it? Which buttons do you press?
As soon as I pulled the battery out of mine to charge it, the little light cover in on the back fell inward out of it`s setting. It`s still in there somewhere, but they boast of how well and sturdy it`s made.
Who knew that two years later the DJI would come up with the Mavic mini which is about the exact same size as that drone and has a whole lot more to offer for it’s a little size. Who knows maybe someday they’ll start making replicas of the DJI mini they will be able to fit Completely unfolded in the palm of your hand I’m looking forward to seeing that as this one looks pretty cool as a little clown and would certainly be a good little gift to give a young kid.
2022...I got My E58 last month and its SO COOL and SUPER DIFFERENT! My cameras are 1080P, I have 2 Cameras AND!!!!!!!!!!!! My top triggers are labeled, smaller and horizontally mounted NOT Vertically Stacked....Yes! I love this little guy!!! My First Drone ever and IM ADDICTED BABY! YEAH!
Does the Eachine E58 fly better and record better video than the Visuo XS809? In other words if you could only buy one, would you rather have the Eachine or the Visuo?
Thanks +Imehta7 for your comment - They're both brilliant drones, the XS809 is bigger and perhaps more satisfying to fly, the video is however slightly better on the E58 and its nice that it has the SD card so that you don't get breakup on video. I've linked to both in the video description, the XS809 is more expensive too so it really depends on your budget!
This is how mine flies. Hit the take-off button and off it goes, like a rocket, in the direction it chooses, then crashes. It does that every time. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J8v6bESA0eU.html
Did you calibrate the quad before flight and initialise it on level ground as mine don’t need any trimming at all if set up correctly first. Nonetheless a nice video 👍🏻
+Paul Hoggett all of these little budget quads calibrate themselves upon powerful but as you say, I didn't have a level surface unfortunately, only took a tiny bit of trimming. Great little quad and glad that you enjoyed the reviews thanks for the comment!
DroningON you can calibrate this quad like all others, just pull both sticks down diagonally to the right and hold, the lights will flash for a few seconds then they go solid and it’s ready. Obviously bind the quad first then calibrate. I’ve had this quad for two weeks now and is a great lil Mavic. Like your review style, very informative and well presented.new subscriber here 👍🏻
+Paul Hoggett, yes absolutely I'm aware of that but its only useful if you have a flat/level surface :) which as you can see I didn't unfortunately lol, but a bit of minor trimming solves it of course! Glad that you enjoy the reviews, and thanks for the sub!! Onwards and upwards to 5k!! Cheers
I just got one of these for my son for Christmas. I figure he can learn to fly this one and then move up to the high dollar Magic. Thanks for the review.
Bought and on its way to me the excitement in your voice sold it for me lol I have quite a few drones but this with the five megapixel camera is a must buy for my collection happy flying
I got mine June 20 , I charged the flight battery, inserted 3 AA in the TX tried to fly it. The TX kept crap chirping ,I was not able to do anything with it. Its a crap shoot buying this ,The people in Hawthorn have a phone ,however, they will not take a message from you. No technical support. you are on your own. I have been a modeler over 50 years and have had larger drones.
It's actually a great little quad for the price, so long as you can fly a quad LOS - when you consider the price, its a bargain, but it does sound as if you were unlucky with the model that you received? Thanks for the comment!
Got mine for $26 including shipping from AliExpress. It's super fun to fly and because it was so cheap I tend to do a lot of risky maneuvers because I'm not afraid of crashing it.
I just got one of these. Complete waste of money. Can’t get it to hover no matter how I adjust it. Couldn’t get it to come back in the wind and it went dead and crashed. Don’t waste your money.
I am a seasoned drone flyer but let me tell you this drone is not worth the money. It is very unstable and cannot be controlled even at a wind speed of 2 mph. The instructions that came with the drone even advise against using it in 3 mph wind. Also, you will be lucky to get 8 minutes of flight time off a fully charged battery. If you'll notice that most all reviews are professionally produced and all have a dog in the fight. $$
If you were truly a "seasoned flyer" then you wouldn't have any issue flying the E58. This review isn't professionally produced, I'm a guy with a GoPro on my head, reviewing drones for fun , but even a year later this drone remains one of the most popular. I'd suggest that you're unfamiliar with the difference between a GPS and non-GPS equipped quad.
You can t compare apples to oranges....this only has a few similarities with the Mavic you showed. One of your errors is the rear arms do not rotate downward...painfully obvious by looking at the motors. Its also only a one axis gimbal.
John, thanks for the comment - but yes we can compare them visually as it's supposed to be a mini replica, which essentially it is. It isn't 'our' error that the rear arms don't fold downward, and its a minor detail to an otherwise pretty good mini copy visually, but as emphasized in this video it is in no respect a match for functionality, obviously. Also just to correct you, it doesn't have a 1-axis gimbal, it has no gimbal.
Thanks Tim, lovely little things aren't they, so long as you can fly. They're also great for practicing ATTI mode, because they have no GPS! Remember to subscribe!
Obviously wonderful review, the fact that it brakes when you let go the controller makes it as good as any gps drone, I dont have mavic just yet but this certainly can make my display shelf like I do own one. mavic.
Thanks +MOHD RUZAINI BIN MUSTAFA, glad that you enjoyed it! Without GPS it'll never be as easy to fly as GPS-equipped drones, but for the price it is a brilliant little quad!
I purchased the drone after seeing your video. I'm a new drone enthusiast, and the drone is EXCELLENT for beginners. However, I do wish as you review and/or discover "configuration settings" that can be done for drone performance via the transmitter. You would share WHAT you did, *(i.e.: Pressing button R1 on the transmitter...) to get the desired effect, or atleast leave notes. Other, than that I love everything about your page and your posts always help! Keep up the good work!
I just received my E58 in the mail and noticed it does NOT have a micro SD slot...there is a place for one but if you try to put a card in it just falls inside the drone...and you have to take the battery out and tap it to get it back...
Not sure how you mention this crap and a Mavic in the same sentence. Even if I was given one, it would be immediately trashed or given to a 10 year(the intended audience)
You should show if possible how you got it to stop drifting exactly on the buttons the video doesn’t show exactly what you did it just says you pushed some buttons to get it to stop drafting just a thought I’m having a hard time trying to get the video up and running and keeping it stable
Very cheap, but not stable hovering, no gps, can not fly it outside because under weak wind, it is going to somewhere against the controller. For indoor only.
Just got mine today. I emailed them and asked them these questions and here was their response. "Hello I ordered the drone today. Wanted to know cuz I could not find it how long it takes to charge, how long flying time is, how far distance can it fly." Answer: Hi Name We do understand your concern, we do apologize for the last response. For your concern: 1. Full charge run time will be a maximum of 25 minutes with a 1500m range. 2. Recharge Time: 60 - 90 minutes 3. FPS - 24 fps We thank you for your interest in our products." So I hope it will go 1500M , And really hope it's 25 min flight time.donyiu guys think I can believe their reply is accurate? Also he said that since it does not have GPS no need for headless mode or one button return, is that true? Because headless mode is the only way I fly and specifically in everything they sent me I was told it had headless mode
Company I'm talking to you for support is called " prime Time trends" Of course I fell for the advertisement that says it's newly released technology that the military use and unbreakable. Lol. With a 2-mile distance and 20 plus min flight time. Made identical to $5,000 drones. Way too good to be true. I don't understand how RU-vid has all these specific rules about everything under the sun yet they allow people to advertise straight up blatantly false misleading products. Just like those detox foot pads that you put under your foot, that is just vinegar when any type of water or sweat it turns black straight up lies RU-vid should be sued for this
I got one coming with the 720 camera. My phantom copy LOL has a hit or miss are gs is found can’t start so has to unhook battery take about 3-6 tryies before it start. That get old. Fast but it does give 18 minutes flying time and I can use my Sony action cam on it. But this is perfect I was looking for a POV. Cheap drone when I seen it can fold for the pocket. And easy to fly and made for selfie meaning steady. I brought it in 5 minutes without looking a review. That enough,
You make it look so easy flying this lil cutie, i bought one last week and this is my first drone ever, i know nothing about flying these things. i try to fly mine and it is drifting to one side and keeps on flying away from me. i need a lot of help to fix that . lol
Great review. Couple of curiosities... 1) could you upgrade the camera to 4k/5.8 and incorporate at least a vertical gimbal (eachine has a 200mw/40 channel fpv unit for about $18)... 2) could you add gps (is there room and would the fc support it) to get true headless, etc... 3) could you upgrade to 2.4ghz rc to increase range and reliability... It seems these mods might be worth some investigation. Otherwise, I'm impressed with eachines products.
+Robert Greene, thanks for the comments! Here's some answers for you! 1) Upgrading the camera to a 4k capable unit might be possible but not sure how the live-stream would then handle this, you might be better just attaching something like a RunCam to it but this might result in too much additional weight. 2) Adding GPS is unlikely to be possible, the flight controllers on these cheap drones are normally very basic with only sufficient IO/Uarts for the most simple of operation, you could however strip the quad and fit some custom kit including an FC and GPS antenna. 3) Its already using 2.4ghz for its control mechanism, for extended range you'd want to fit a proper RX and utilise a decent 2.4ghz transmitter, but its not really worth it. Overall, this is a cheap drone toy, its not worth messing with considering its cost unless you need a winter project!
DroningON I just really love the mav clone layout. I may just purchase the chassis and build up my own guts and upgrade to Brushless motors as well. And yes, I'm always looking for winter projects ( even though in Texas winter is not really winter). 😊
