Great video. Very helpful. Now I'm not sure what is going on with my QX65 so I thought I would post here and see what folks say. Spektrum DX6i RX and seems like everything is going good. I arm it, motors start spinning, and I can take off and get maybe 1-5 feet up and away and the drone just falls out of the sky. Charged all 6 of my batts, double, triple checked my settings in Betaflight. My receiver has 5.7 volts and works fine with other drones. I'm using AUX 1 (Gear) for my Arm switch. My Red and white lights come on the drone showing RX signal/bind. Up and away, it drops. Reset the arm switch motors start spinning. Now if I hold the drone and throttle up it runs and if I slightly shake it , off it goes. It does not power cycle, it just cuts all the power to the rotors. Just looking for help on troubleshooting.
Thanks.........Check the main power leads to the board or the socket itself, maybe resolder it........also check to make sure the antenna is still on the board, sounds like something is loose you just need to find it,good luck!
Hello Merch RC, I have been trying to bind my QX 65 (dsmx version) to my Radiomaster Tx16s but although the white and red LED's go solid after following your instructions, the little blue led on the main board keeps on flashing as where the little red led is solid. Apparently I'm doing something wrong..... Any info on how to fix this will be greatly appreciated. I find your videos very informative. Thank you for posting. Keep up the good work.
NIce review my brother. I might have to pick up one of those too. I took the plunge last night and ordered the eachine 220x trying to decide on goggles and controller next. Let me know if you have suggestions.
Don't you think you are jumping in at the deep end with a big 220?........if you have not flown much fpv i would start training on a small whoop or anything under the 150 size which is easy to work on and durable then move up,as for goggles that's a personal preference,i love my dominator V3's but some others like boxed goggles. For a transmitter there are so many out there maybe youtube the best beginner transmitter but from what i know FRsky seems to be very popular.
Lol I like the deep end my friend. I am a little crazy. been flying some small stuff in the house. I am going to get better small stuff soon. Thanks for the input.
Tried to fly my QX65 but throttle will not go on. I am sure it has to do with the throttle end points, did you set yours to anything specific. I left it at default and tried adjusting, getting quads to arm with a Spektrum(only radio I have ever had) can be a definite pain.
You are very lucky i could find the quad under many boxes i have, you might want to change the settings for the switches s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=15599740573754395127
Muy buen vídeo. He adquirido este dron y viendo su vídeo y siguiendo los pasos que describe no consigo arrancar el dron con la dx6i, el caso es que enlaza y todo pero no arranca. Saludos
The DX5e is very limited in what it can do you might be able to bind to the quad,as for getting it set up and flying i really don't know because i don't have this transmitter. Imo you are best upgrading your transmitter.
I got one of these and it seemed to link up with my dx9 ok but the motors wont come on when I flip the switch to arm them , they do work when I use the controls in betaflight tho , got any ideas why it wont actually arm?
Hmmm i don't have the DX9 but have you tried a click or two down on the throttle trim to see if it works just like i did in the video? Check 17:19 in the video maybe you are not saving your bind.
yup the bind worked fine , the bars move on the transmitter page when I move the sticks and the lines move on the modes page when I flip the switches but it just doesn't seem to want to arm as it should
ah, figured it out , "setup"page , on the left , "arming disable flags" "6" had to change the 'low stick" value to match the number off the throttle bar at its lowest point
