I have the original tyro79. Its fun to fly. I also have a custom 3d printed mount for my insta360 go 2 camera, and it handles it quite well.

Good overview. Yeah, that wire is just the enamelled stator wire that’s just left long and rubber dipped. I always just cut those short and put a racewire, or LED board, so I never have to deal with that smelly terrible wire :p Makes it way easier to move or swap a motor. Lo-fi chill and analog video, perfect combo for the flight music! :D

No one, who knows anything about building, would ever choose that funky tight frame to build with! That aluminum crap is a CF. Of course, no one in their right mind, would choose ANY Eachine parts for a build! lol Too unreliable. Problem with this kit is you'll pay double if not triple the initial cost of this kit, over the first year or two of ownership, replacing burned out, broken, or failed parts. NEWBIES: This is what happens when you use the lowest quality, cheapest parts you can find! This will be a very expensive drone to keep in the air - with a lot of down time waiting for parts, and to fix it. It's a very bad investment! Seems cheap, and it is using the lowest quality cheap parts, but it's actually very expensive because they fail a ton! Better to just buy quality parts from the get go - much, MUCH cheaper in the long run! I know, I used to buy this JUNK! 🤔🤕💸💸💸

I'm a 62 yr old noob, what receiver should I buy for this. I have a Radiomaster TX 16s. Will my goggles from my Tinyhawk 2 work with this as well or do I need different ones. Oh and one more thing, what is this TBS crossfire I keep hearing about? Sorry for all the questions, trying to figure this stuff out.

Haha no worries! If you're just using the internal module on the TX16s one of the cheapest options that should work is the FrSky XM+ (bit.ly/3qonzoO) Your goggles from the tinyhawk 2 will work with this drone 👍 Crossfire is a receiver protocol and is typically used for long range drones and is one of the most reliable control links you can get for FPV quads. If you wanted to add crossfire to your TX16s you would just need a Crossfire JR bay module and compatible receivers (bit.ly/3qnUKbZ) Hope this helps!

@@TRONCATFPV Thank you for the info. Sorry. 2 more?s just popped into my head. Could I use the Crossfire you linked instead of the Frsky for the 79 pro? Next, if I do that, can I switch between Crossfire then switch back to Frsky for my TinyHawk2? Or is it automatically switched when I select either quad? I promise those were the last ?s....for now😂🤣

@TRONCATFPV 2 года назад
Yup! All you'd have to do is on your controller duplicate the tinyhawk model and name it Crossfire or something similar. Change the model settings to use "external RF" instead of "internal RF" and select CRSF. The LUA script should come built in to the TX16s. Since you'd make a new model using the external RF, that model would be bound to your crossfire receivers. The other module will still be set to your tinyhawk and will use the internal module 👍

I bought one to build. Trying to figure out if I can use the supplies vtx for Walksnail avatar goggles or is it an analog and I need to upgrade the vtx? Anyone help me out?

Hello, in your next budget build of 2022 can you use Amazon links? I will totally buy and build your suggestion but I need quick shipping times and reliable returns instead of straight from china. Thanks! I’m a new subscriber!

Thanks for the review! I just recently bought and built the regular Tyro79. Had issues with the VTX connection. It is a 5805 as well which states it wants 9-24v. The wiring harness puts out 5v, so I had to wire a separate wire from battery for VBat. Tried to connect the data line, and still haven't been able to get smartaudio working, did you ever try this? I submitted a support ticket on the issue, but didn't get any useful info from them. Cheers!!

I haven't had a chance to setup smartaudio with this VTX yet. Once I do I'll report back if it works 👍

Noted 👌 Almost all of the parts I'm using in the build are straight from RDQ or GetFPV (US retailers). Wanted to keep it more local this time 😉 I'm sure some of the parts will be available through amazon though. If they are, i'll include an amazon link in the description 👍
