Dont forget the monotone, always slightly annoyed voice, that always makes turtorials 200x better to watch, and im not even joking. Nothing worse then someone trying to put on an act while explaining something. Instant sub.
eager edge even works when you have no ammo but it will only lunge you the normal sword distance, can be clutch if you're about to fall off the map you can also put on quick access sling to pull out and stow your sword faster and lastly apparently you can also shatterskate on a downward slope as well it doesn’t need to be a ledge, i had no idea when making this vid :(
Yo can you try with Phoenix dive? If it goes so well with shatterdive why not try the other just to see if it works? Also try with strafe glide heat rises after double dashing as fast as possible.
If you are on controller, as long as your air dive is set to press instead of long press, you can hit heavy attack + jump + shatter dive buttons all at the same time after your draw the sword and it will work no problem at all. Plus, you won't have to worry about that timing issue where it consumes ammo.
@@TerraTheWise No, he said to "press jump immediately after doing a heavy attack and then shatterdive immediately after pressing jump" and to do everything in the right order. What I was pointing out is that you don't need to follow that order if you are on controller (assuming your airdive is mapped correctly). If you use that order, it will still launch you if timed correctly, but sometimes your character will finish the sword animation and consume ammo, you can actually see that happen in the video. If you just press all three at the same time, it works no issue with no animation and no ammo consumed.
You can also do the hunter shatterdive method on warlock, just replace it with a well. It won’t cast the super if you do it right, so you can do it forever. I recommend holding the grenade to maintain your momentum
THANK YOU. It took me ages to learn this, but your video finally showed me how. The thing I was struggling most with was actually pretty simle - Heavy Attack OFF A LEDGE .. not Heavy attack ON a ledge, or NEAR a ledge or whatever - the attack has to actually take you OVER the edge. While you didn't specifically mention this - repeating the same moves at the same location as you did (watching the video in slomo) helped me to finally get it right. Feels sooooo good man to just yeeet into the distance (and die impacting in a wall)
I have spent all day looking for a tutorial and none explain that you can change the button response speed for the shatterdive on console. SUBBED! THANK YOU!
Okay, for those struggling with hunter on controller, you can pretty much press a and b or whatever that is on ps4 at the same time after the delay from heavy attack. Its exactly like worldine skating on hunter
You are like the only person that talks about the settings for SD most people over look that and their tutorial doesn’t help at all. Knowing how to wordline skate as hunter I learn this a long time ago but props to you and nice work on getting the details correct!
Great guide. I did some Worldline Skating with the Shatterdive method like a year ago, but hadn't really played with it since then. Took a few attempts to get the rhythm back, but my God this is fun.
Thanks shadow I see alot of other RU-vidrs doing this and I was throwing hate towards them for not showing how this was done Thanks for showing me and what I mean by hate is they were doing it in the goa mine part
Not sure if anyone pointed out but warlock can also do what hunter did with shatterdive, instead warlock can do it with Well of Radiance which launches u v fast just like shatterdive.
On controller, changing air dive button isn’t necessary if you don’t want to change your buttons. What I do is hold air dive button then roll my finger to press jump at the same time a little after pulling out my sword and I do it just fine.
By controller do you mean with pc or does this work on consoles as well? I'm on ps4 so I hope it works. Awesome video by the way keep it up. Subscription well deserved looking forward to the next.
Thanks for the video man keep up the awesome work I see a bright future and your RU-vid career never stop making these videos and I know you’re going to get there one day much love to you and have a merry Christmas
Honestly saying you have to attack jump then dive just over complicates it.. just do all three at the same time and it works every time for me... Video def still was a big help though man appreciate it
@@Shadowttk I mean it still might be that you must press them in that order but it's SOOOO fast that pressing them all at the same time does the trick. Again though this was definitely the most helpful vid in doing this so thank you again! Been doing it all the time now it's so fun
If someone sees this, you can do the shatterdive method on warlock using the Well of Radiance, instead of using the shatterdive, use the Well and that's it
@@LeBackShots no problem, its super easy: Once you pull out the sword, you press the heavy attack and then the jump and then shatterdive in order in quick succession. Whatever inputs you use for said abilities would be like this in order: 1: Sword Heavy attack input 2: Jump input 3: Shatterdive input It takes a while to get it down correctly but after some practice its super easy and consistant. You should also use triple jump or strafe to reach further areas, and maintain momentum. If you are on warlock, well of radiance would take the place of shatterdive, and for titans it would be bubble. So you would instead of using whatever input shatterdive is tied to, you would use your super input in its place for those classes. Edit: forgot to add you should be close to edge of a platform or a downward slope, and the inputs need to be done the moment you pull out the sword
than you very much, it was simple to understand, and i managed to learn how it works (still madea macro for it as im still not 100% used to ut, will take a while XD )
For those trying to learn the hunter shatter dive, what really helped me was not even paying attention to the animation. Just as soon as you heavy, you should already be on the edge of pushing space, and by time you finish that press, you should be pressing shatter dive. Don't even watch the screen, just press everything in order as fast as possible.
So good! Love this tutorial. But what anout the advanced method for warlock? Hunters have shatter dive, and warlocks have Well cancel animation, Do titans have a better version skate too?
@@Shadowttk it's how I've always done it with worldline. Very consistent as long as the ground leading up to the ledge is good. Makes it easier to do it off little hills and in tight spaces. I've got shatterdive bound to right stick
@@Shadowttk nah it's aight. It's just how I figured out how to skate, whenever I tried to do it while moving I just did the normal swipe and just came to a complete stop
