Damn this is good. These actors are going places (I've never seen Roy Wood Jr in a serious role- he's got chops) This could be a full series, but somehow it's even more powerful in 8 minutes.
Great story about the eagle. It's not about the chickens. You packed a lot into 8 minutes. They are very effective actors. Sustained tension. Good work!🦅🤔💢
From the farmer's (and the viewer's) perspective the Eagle may be dumber than the Chickens, but chickens' life and farm yard is all the Eagle have known in his life, so he feels that he belongs there and there is no need for him to be different. On the contrary, he wants to fit in with Chickens. But his problem is that he will never properly belong. This is obvious when Hector very dismissively calls Edgar "college boy". I wonder, if Edgar attacking Hector was Edgar's way to become "a dominant chicken" or his attempt to fly away from the chickens' life and become something else? Could be the latter because he did not take the money from Hector's hand after beating him up. On the other hand, he attacked the boy behind the counter, so he did not feel he belonged with "the rich" either. The film is about finding own place in life and about the choices we have vs the choices we make.
