EagleFan Reacts to C'est La Vie by d'Artagnan - LOVE IT 

This is such a fun group to listen to. Just puts me in a good mood.

I was able to see the band live just yesterday. There is a sommer festival in a city nearby. Live music of various genres every Friday and Saturday from Juni to July. I have seen several great bands there over the years. Yesterday was a very nice evening. Great live band, very entertaining.

d'Artagnan was founded in 2015 by Ben Metzner (vocalist & multi-instrumentalist, member of Feuerschwanz since 2007), Felix Fischer (electric guitar, accoustic guitar, spanish guitar, bass guitar, backing vocals, joined Feuerschwanz in 2014 as bassist, left both bands by the end of 2017) & Tim Bernard (electric guitar, accoustic guitar, backing vocals). Fischer was replaced with Gustavo Strauss (violin, backing vocals). Hans Platz (guitarist for Feuerschwanz since 2008, The Dark Side Of The Moon) supported them as studio and live musician from 2016 to 2017. Meanwhile, their live & studio support band, Haiko Heinz (electric guitar, since 2017, replacing Hans, backing vocals), Matthias Böhm (drums, since 2016, replacing Jan Mischon aka Jean Méchant [drummer for Saltatio Mortis since 2009]) and Sebastian Baumann (bass, since 2016) are considered full band members now.

Further Dartagnan recommendations: They have indeed done a few songs in English. The Englisch version of "C'est la vie", as was mentioned before (it is not a direct translation, but transports the mood quite well), and "My love's in Germany", which is actually a Scottish Folk song from the late 18th Century, and most recently - and I highly recommend this - A folk-like cover of "Hey brother" by Avicii. But their German songs are also worth a look, of course. 🙂

They have the english version of this song on their new album .. do yourself a favor and listen to that one too.. the lyrics are so powerful, you just want to get up and do something!
