its hard for people who are not into sports to fully relate to what's going here. This guy more than likely spent all of his childhood watching the eagles play....year in and year out. At some point you become fully vested emotionally and so when the ultimate goal is reached after all these years...well this is what happens.
*Foolish* Demon I was jumping for joy and screaming so I don't have to cry in front of my family and friends.Even when I watched all these videos of the fans reaction and Eagles winning the Superbowl, I still get emotional .
you can ask anyone that knows me well. I dont cry during sad parts in movies or TV shows ....and I mean never!! but after that Brandon Graham strip sack I had to fight back tears. thats when I knew we were finally going to do it . ......
Besides the day my child was born, the Eagles winning the Superbowl was the greatest day of my life. I really hope you get that feeling one day. You guys got a player in D'Andre Swift. I watched him play at St. Joe's Prep. I also went to high school with his dad Darren at Frankford HS in Philly. We grew up a few blocks from each other. His dad was also a RB. Our Senior year (87-88), FKD football went undefeated and won the public league championship in 1987. You take care. Go Pioneers ❤️💙💛 and Go Birds 💚🦅🏈
I felt so bad for the falcons as an Eagles fan when I saw them slip on that huge lead… I remember how it felt when the Eagles lost to the pats when they first met in the superbowl way back in the 2000’s..
He's probably thinking of all the years he's watched the eagles with his dad and all these years and for the 1st time he gets the feeling of his winning a championchip like u see when your a kid
Think he was watching it. But, near the end of the 4th, he had to prepare to go on set. Think I heard on CSN he missed the last 4-5 minutes of the game.
Mr. Kuntz, please, don't ever feel ashamed. IMO, you summarized how all of us Eagles fans felt at that moment. Thank you, Sir, for 'keeping it real'. Cheers!
I’m 39 years old and was the same way. I was in tears as the clock expired. I told my 11 year old who has been a diehard Eagles fan since day 1. That the pure joy and excitement that we got to feel along with every other diehard Eagles fan was a once in a lifetime feeling and all those front runners who jumped on the bandwagon this year can act like they were excited when our Eagles won the Super Bowl. But no matter what they didn’t nor will they ever get to experience that excitement and pure joy us diehards experienced. That goes for any time someone wins a championship. There’s always Johnny Come Lately‘ abut I told my boy who cares. Let them act like they are diehards but only diehards get to enjoy the moment for what it is. Eagles fans everywhere i was glad to enjoy that with my son and all you guys. We are the best fans in any sport hands down. All I got to say is Harold Kuntz and Eagles fans everywhere get ready to experience that feeling again because we going back to back
watched this vid 15-20 times, never gets old. Best video I've ever seen, awesome! You are the man,Harold! I've fwd it to every EAGLES fan i know. Thank u eagles for a spectacular season, WE DID IT! FINALLY, We are the champions! E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!
Nunca había festejado un triunfo de uno de mis equipos como ese triunfo del 04Feb2018. Llore, grite, salte, baile. El único Águila por decenas de Patriotas en el restaurante. Fly Eagles Fly.
Cowboys fan here.. I wanna say congrats to the Philadelphia Eagles and all their fans!! It's about time y'all joined the party! I know many Cowboys fans would rather y'all not win one, but why not?? Screw that kinda thinking! I hope u guys stay badass for a few years too & hopefully hope it leads to the Cowboys getting rid of Jason Carrot & all these soft-ass players & coaches we have... ahh we'll still have Jerry Jones ugh... 😒😒😒 Anyways, congrats again.. u guys enjoy this & rub it in everyone's faces cuz u never know if you'll ever win another one.. peace ✌✌✌
jesse olivas can you guys please stop with the ringless talk now ? lol it really got to us i think i think it hurt our feelings quite a bit .... il admit it now that we won 1
jesse olivas As a true Eagles fan I appreciate the congratulations! As much as Eagles and Cowboys fans go at it, I really would not want any other way. The rival is one of the best in sports and it’s fun to get up for your arch rival. It hurts like hell when your team lose, but it is the sweetest thing when your team is victorious!
KingSoap88 88 lol hey i never used that talk.. well maybe in the 90s, but that talk is silly, unless ur telling it to the Browns or another team that's totally irrelevant. To be honest with u, I didn't really care who won. If it was the Pats, I've actually learned to respect & appreciate their consistency (cheating & all). If it was the Eagles, good for them! Maybe this will light a fire under Cowboys management.. ahh who am I kidding, Jerry only cares about money & as long as he's the owner Cowboys are screwed.. & screw Jason Carrot & Dez
lpcook1 i hear u man. As I've grown older I've actually become more of a casual fan than i used to be. I'd have a bad week after a Cowboys loss & take it out on anyone lol.. now i choose not to invest as much time nor passion into players/teams that don't even know i exist lol. I'll kinda watch parts of games that look pretty good, but that's it. I did, however, notice the eagles were kicking ass & taking names, which i thought was cool, but never did i believe it would lead to a Super Bowl victory. Enjoy it man!
jesse olivas - Believe it or not I never thought we had a chance at the Super Bowl before the start of the season. I was just hoping we could squeeze in the playoffs with a 10-6 record. Things just clicked right and this team was just destined to win this year.
Luke Hartman its not just being a fan. Its a way of life for us. That Stadium is our church on Sunday. Except instead of a few hundred people singing and praying our church has 75,000 people screaming at the top of our lungs. In Philadelphia football does not end for us. While most people go to Baseball, Basketball or Hockey for 7 months Philadelphia is always keeping up with Eagles news. We are the best most loyal fans in this world. And now we are Super Bowl Champions
I have watched this video 100 x we philadlphians were ALLL like this and more. I hope Harold made it to the Eagles parade in the beautiful city of Philadelphia... it was truly a SPECIAL SPECIAL DAY!!!!#GOEAGLES
You don't know that feeling unless you've been at that peak and fell so many times and the terror of inevitable defeat is gripping your heart the whole game and when the impossible happens, it feels unreal. Like you never knew what it would even look like to see the impossible. I remember staring at the screen right after the clock hit zero, looking for yellow flags 2 bring me back 2 the "eagles always fall short of glory" reality and when it didn't happen I just felt numb, like I was afraid that it wasn't real and if I got my hopes up, I'd get heartbroken. I know exactly how he feels!
If you didn’t cry when they won the Super Bowl then you’re not a real Eagles fan I’m 26 and they were 19 when I won so I had been watching the Eagles as a baby but I started to remember and understand the game at about the age of 4 so I have been a die hard fan since being a new born but only remembered the last 15 years and I went to Hell and back riding with this team and when they finally won I fell to my knees weeping tears of joy.
I hope this knows he wasn’t crying alone cause everyone I watch this video I feel the same way. I understand that football is just a game. But being a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles is more than just football. It’s a Philly thing.
Whenever I wish to recapture one of the greatest moments of my life, I watch this video. This is a true fan and he reacted like every true Eagles fan would have. I was beyond estactic too, and I had had a heart attack the day before the Vikings game. Harold Kuntz won't pay for his own beer in Philly ever again. He's legend, Edit: 5 years later I still get the same charge out of Harold's sports report. Especially the day after the Eagles pissed away another season.
If the Chargers ever won I'd probably cry too from years of saying "next year". but now that they are in LA, I haven't even watched a game. They broke my heart and can't bear to watch them. Looking for new team.
