Shoutout to nakobe! It was great to see someone on that defense actually really punish the qb when he got his hands on him. Usually Jones runs all over them. After the first hit nakobe put on him, Jones didn't want none.
The giants have a good defense. I legit didnt think they would pull this off. They should finish every game like this. Except facing the ravens and good teams. They can still win them games too.
This was needed. The coaches, fans, owner and GM needed to know the team can win like this against poor teams without relying on Hurts being amazing. For all the criticism Hurts gets, I'd still pick him over most, if not all the other top ten paid QBs. Well maybe not Burrow or Lamar. I kinda expect Smith to have a good game next week and Hurts to throw over 250.
To evolve , run the ball with powerful Sequan which wears down the defense, and then you can action play pass, with our dynamic receivers, once your team is moving and developing their rhythm then you can go more aieral....Like Mr Laurie like it ..... But get in rhythm FIRST " "
Off the top of my head: Jalen is on average 5 inches shorter than his O-linemen. Tom Brady by comparison is usually as tall or taller than his O-linemen. That’s why Jalen doesn’t see the field well. One of the shortest QBs looking over the tallest line in the league.
This is all the Eagles need to do on offense from hear on out... RUN THE BALL and the passing lanes will open up.. SIMPLE! Look how Detroit is playing? It always starts with Gibbs & Montgomery.. Eagles Oline & Detroits Oline is elite. This is how you win games... Use your strengths to your advantage.
I still need some convincing from Hurts. Eagles had a pretty nice win, but Saquon did all the lifting. Hurts still showed the same cracks when he tried to pass the ball (only looking left, 5-6s in the pocket before throwing away,etc.). Not saying he's trash, but I need more from the guy before I start praising him like it's 2022.
I am finally happy with a win. Love to see Huff looking alive! That being said, we won't win many games with Jalen holding the ball until he gets sacked, not seeing open receivers, staring down AJ from the snap, and not spreading the ball around. Also with Sirriani consistently choosing to throw go balls when we need 3 yards or less.
Blame the Oline for that. How can Jalen feel comfortable when he is pressured on every play. 5 sacks on 14 pass attempts and 7 rushes. Almost every play someone was coming in unblocked.
Hurts missed at most 2 open receivers the entire game which I definitely will hold him accountable for. At least he bailed himself out by picking up the 1st down and a dime to AJ right in stride on the money, with a defender in his face. Everytime he was sacked and pressured, he had less than 2 seconds before defenders were in his lap. With Sirriani and the offense not having any type of good, short and quick developing routes, they will continue to struggle with that, especially on 3rd and long. Playcalling still pisses me off more than anything.
@@K.H1914 I don’t think Hurts trusts Smith. A couple of INT’s earlier this year were when Smith ran lazy routes or did not shield the defender or fight for the ball. On AJ’s long pass he put himself between the ball and defender with a step. You never see that from Smith. I wonder if there is a trust issue there. Hurts knows AJ will get that ball.
I just get so baffled that we continue to see the team get away from the run when we always perform better when we base everything off of the run. I have no doubt that next week will go right back to abandoning the run next week. It’s so frustrating!!
People will say it's just the Giants, and a hurt Giants team at that, but even this is the type of team it was a nail biter against end of last year and up until now this year.
A lot of fans are happy but I find it funny that these guys are cautiously optimistic. It's great that we won but our schedule doesn't provide us with real competition until the cowboys(maybe) the commanders and Ravens. Real football fans know that those teams aren't that great.
I would honestly let both cooper dejean and Covey split the reps at punt return. Just to keep them both fresh . So they both can fill in if the other gets injured. I liked what Covey was doing as a WR. He has such great hands. So I would let them both get returns going foward
I listen to this podcast regularly on spotify. Why is it that the volume of your podcast is about 25% lower than every other podcast I listen to? Every time I listen, I have to use a volume booster . I don't have that issue with any other podcast. Every other podcast I listen to is a decent volume. Whoever is mixing yours, needs to up those levels.
To be honest I didn't listen to these two this week, but most of the media all week were telling me how improved the Giants were, now all of a sudden the Giants are so bad , listen the Eagles will continue to improve, there are still things to improve upon, but I will tell you this the media is a joke.
The Giants are improved. They have added talented players (Nabers was back, Burns trade, etc). And those guys did well, along with Lawrence, etc. But they are still always QB limited with Daniel Jones. And weaker at some spots. Look at the Eagles pass rush compared to the rest of the season. This team is not averaging 8 sacks per game. Not even 5 (like they got against Cleveland). But you hope for 3-4 per game, instead of the 1-2 they've had in wks 1-4. Singletary is not a top 30 RB in this league. He has struggled all year. But this doesn't change the fact that they demonstrated the gap in talent so clearly. And credit to the Eagles for that.
Giants are a bottom 3 team in the league. If the Eagles didn’t dominate that points to some clear issues. Good teams beat bad teams and yes the Birds are improving with a good test against the Bengals coming next week. Media isn’t a joke just because you don’t understand things though pal😂
We own the Giants!!...one game at a time.. hopefully o-line injuries are nothing significant... Fred Johnson is going to have a tough time holding up I think..Saquon was a man amongst boys today
Good running will always take the heart out of the Defense, I truly hope we use our brain cells from the Top on down, and do what obviously works, against Cincinnati this upcoming week. No need to reinvent the Wheel " " and start experimenting.....😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Yes its a good win but Pump the Breaks......... its the Giants...... The first half Hurts missed several open receivers, and hesitated at time in the pocket. He still misses key open receivers. Defense looked good and leaned on the run game,
I love this pod but hearing roob rave about saquan now when before the season he did not have this same energy. He was talking down about how bad saquan has been the last couple years and didn't think saquan would be good now he loves him and you had us losing 23-20 this dude is Dan sileo
Always play hard for him? I think that's a bit of a stretch. They always play hard despite him, except when they can't because of him. Still want Nick fired. Seems he gets credit for all the good and none of the bad. Credit to Jalen and team for hanging in there. Hopefully Howie on the sideline meant that Nick has called his last 3 & Out series. He's way past his limit isn't he? Not off the hook until he's off the hook, know what I'm saying? Anyway, beating dead horses aside, fun game. Saquon and everybody played great. Still tackling. Run game. I'll take that every time. Nothing to be too critical of. Exciting stuff. Lots to like. Well deserved praise. Do it again. Go Birds!
I don’t understand how you watched the game and thought it was great? They didn’t score again in the 1st. Jalen completed the ball to 3 receivers and once again missed open guys and didn’t throw down the middle of the field. He was terrible in the 1st quarter again. The only team worse than the Giants are the Browns. Grasping at straws.
Very suprised Roob gave them A's across the board. This game felt like Sirianni had nothing to do with the game plan. They still aren't utiliz8the middle of the field. Hopefully they will late in the season. Defense is starting to come together. Youngbucks looking good out there
Yeah, NYG should cheer him for chosing money over legacy. Absolutely. And for all he has done for NY which is what exactly. 1 playoff win. Team sucked with him and now they can suck without him, good luck to Philly.
Are you really this dense? There are difficulties at times depending on when the games are played, where the games are played, post game shows like Roob does, Dave has press converge and other responsibilities, and so on. They do the podcast after every game including the past 2 games, it just won't always get up 4 hours after the game is done. What an absolute stupid thing to bring up.
@@JustSomeGuy009 in my defense, they never really spoke about the eagles bucs game after the loss like they normally would post game. They didnt really go over it like they are doing now. The mid week pod was more of a big picture view as opposed to analysing everything in the game like they r doing now.
