Good reaction! As the story goes, The Singer surprised the contestants by telling them that instead of a week before taping the next show, they had 2 days so that the staff could have time off for a national holiday. They also told KZ to sing Say Something instead of what she had planned. Time working with the house band was scarce with all the other contestants needing rehearsal time. In desperation, KZ had her guitarist Makoy Portado fly from Manila to Shanghai on less than 24 hours notice. He arrived the morning of the show, they worked out the arrangement in the afternoon and performed it that night. Not bad for something thrown together in a few hours!
You sir have just discovered a "one of a kind" artist! She is one of the best at "emoting." She's a "genius" with her arrangement skills. And she has one of the best "stage personas" I've seen, on par with the best artists ive ever seen here in the 🇺🇸 But, you haven't seen anything yet! You must react to KZ'S cover of "Rolling in The Deep" on this same Singer 2018. What she did in that performance will "blow your mind".....GUARANTEED! That's two, very different, performances by one of the best artists you find anywhere. I'm sure you will see many requests in the comments and I hope the requests will contain links to the performances. Whether on stage, on the WishBus 107.5, in a small studio with friends, or in venues like this one KZ is always the consummate artist. Already you’re talking about subtle transitions in her voice and where she adds in her vibrato at the last second or sobs into certain words … These are all points that no other vocal coach has made in the past about this video. The few who have bothered to react to this.
