No they r not numbed actually in india almost everyone gets their ear peirced as a kid but I got it now cuz my mom was scared I would cry she worries about me so much. And I got then but not with a shot gun bit traditional way didn't hurt at all actually injection hurt more

My thoughts exactly... I waited and took my daughter when she wanted to get her ears pierced and that was last month on her 9th birthday. I also took her to a professional and reputtable piercer that wore gloves and all needles and jewelry were sterile !!!! This experience for this little girl was traumatizing to say the least and so unsterile. That gun is so much more painful then a needle that a professional piercer uses and that gun also can spread diseases like hepatitis and it's not sterile and causes infection and it's literally punching a hole through her tissue with a blunt earring end.

@Sheeba shalini those piercing guns are extremely painful and are not sterile. Those are facts. And getting a vaccine shots is a completely different thing! They are protecting the child from deadly diseases and if you are going to get a baby/child's ears pierced then go to a professional piercer and one that uses a needle and in a sterile environment.
