I LOVE my Motion Plus, and when im not using it, I prefer my Tribit max sound plus to my Charge 4. The Anker is King tho!

like a lot of these speakers they sound fine if thats all you listen to. but when you a/b compare them you hear the differences. i cant say its terrible or anything but nothing special given the alternatives.

i remember when the denon dsb 100 came out, everyone said if they could just scale that up. They never did. moral is they never seem to follow up what they have already got right.

@@alanrossreviews I don't see much of that in your vid comments as your proof is indisputable. Even if I didn't pay attention and just listened to your listening demo the difference is stark. To the person who would make such a comment they probably feel MP3's sound good and never owned a quality full size audio system and listen to top 40 hip hop.

@@alanrossreviews I would love to see your take on the Anker Soundcore Flare+. Although I'm anti 360 degree it has two drivers and two tweeters aimed in four directions unlike most other 360 cylindrical speakers. I'm sort of leaning towards the Flare+ as my next speaker for my collection. Could you consider reviewing/analyzing the Flare+? Only your review treatment can reveal the truth.

I guess they didnt have the hardware for it. Why else party mode but not stereo? I have no doubt a Bluetooth 5 version will be coming with tws and i cant wait ;) so stormbox sounds better than uboom?

Yes The StormBox sounds more balanced than the UBOOM. Not as bass heavy. The SB does have more bass than the MaxSound Plus though. SB is the perfect middle ground, actually.

Btw, are you sure the MaxSound Plus has party mode? If so it’s not advertised anywhere. The StormBox does though

How to pair two ubooms?

i was surprised it wasnt even close against two ubooms other than you can have the ubooms wide apart.

Well I think Oluv's EQ wasn't as powerful. The UBoom's were louder in his compassion.

sure some eq is always going to help tune to your ears and your room but i have never found a software eq app im happy with. my recordings try to eliminate room reflections to keep the recording to just what the speaker is doing. in the real world room reflections are what gives a more life like sound so yes reflections help a lot and its how we hear in the real world, unless you are outdoors of course. so room will make a big difference to the sound.

they will both do the job, motion plus can be a bit muffled at low volume but has a bigger sound so need to make your choice.

Had bose revolve, than I bought uboom, I sold bose immidiately. For less than half price Ive got more durable speker and I like earfun sounding, way better for my ears

if your theory was correct it would have the same effect on all the speakers.

motion+ my go to. maxsound for a more mellow listen. my xb40 for something that digs deeper. these speakers suit my listening needs, not saying there arent better speakers out there. my minirigs in 2.2 blow them all away but i dont listen to them as much because of the setup hassle.

earfun is different to the tribit but uses same drivers. different tuning though.

its a 360 degree speaker so hard to compare. probably nearer to charge 4 or flip 5 than the other 2.

getting the stormbox next week. for me maxsound plus is clear winner over uboom.

I believe Alan Ross(and many other reviewers) have basically said that pound for pound, dollar for dollar, the Soundcore Motion+ is the best speaker you can get in the price range. And unfortunately, if you want more/better, you're going to have to pony up a bit more money. Minirig, that's the name of the speaker maker/brand that you're looking for. Alan told me about Minirig the other day, and I have to say, I think they are probably the reference for compact Bluetooth speakers, it's a true mini hi-fi speaker, but they start at $179 for one mono speaker(though they can be paired), and if you watch Alan's videos on a Minirig system(he's made a few, including one which compares minirig to the Soundcore Motion+) you'll want to add a few others, quickly inflating the price. I own the Soundcore Motion+ speaker and think it's quite good for the price and for what it is, but it's not perfect and it definitely has its limitations. In my opinion, it cannot really compete with even small bookshelf speakers, those with 4" drivers let's say(I do own a couple pairs, one in a cheap set up costing about $100(with a desktop amp and speaker wires) which sound much better) and while Alan may disagree with me here, I don't think there would be a huge advantage to having two Soundcores over having just one. One buys the Soundcore for the novelty of it, for the tech, wireless convenience, and the ability to take it with them if they so choose, while accepting the great, although limited sound quality due to the nature of the system. It's NOT $200, but if you can swing it, if you are looking for relatively small Bluetooth capable speakers for home or office use(so not portable), I would say to take a look at the Vanatoo T-Zero. They're $360 for a pair, and they are mini bookshelf or I'd say desktop speakers, and some might think them a bit funny looking, but they sound awesome and are packed with a ton of technology that one marvels at how they can be sold for such low fare.

In this case, if sound is comparable at least, I'd take uboom for it's design and materials. The horizontal footprint and the thin metal grill of anker is old, also that logo...

Yes, with motion+ no chances, but signature of UBoom in my opinion is more friendly. Maxsound sounds very bright and i think it would be fatiguing for longer listening. Maybe it has a little bit more details, but overall perception is for the UBoom for me. Greetings
