Many years ago it was a big graduation party for my son who graduated from medical school and it was a choice between the Dubs and Earl Lewis performing, the Dubs were the favorites by my family and they were great but I really wouldn't have been disappointed to have the great, one and only Earl Lewis and the Channels perform. Wish now I could have had them both.

One of the very best, least known golden tunes. I had never heard it until a few years ago while scouring MP3 sites for lost oldies. This should have been played a lot more on the radio. Any DJ should know this song.

Met Earl and the Channels about 12 years ago on Long Island at Patchouge H.S. and spoke with him for about 10 minutes and had his autograph a couple of 45's. Then met him a month later at Hofstra University for a Ronnie I show. He recognized me and he kept telling me to keep the music alive. I am Doowoptm below. Now I hear he is retired. Can someone let me know if that is true. Love ya Earl and the Channels

I saw on another post that he's living in Florida and he and his wife are Sunday school teachers, but, yes, is not performing any more. Boohoo..... for us, anyway, I'm sure he's happy!
