Crazy how he’s arguably one of the most talented lyricists in hip-hop, his pen game is unmatched by most, yet the rest of the time he’s a man of few words.
ngl that funny bo 🤣 bless up! “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
@@fromabove422 nah fr i cant remember where else he said this but i do remember him saying he envisioned having the beard by now or sum sht lol it was hilarious. The patchy beard adds to his aesthetic in my opinion though
once i was at a cannabis club on melrose where you could take dabs like waaaay before they were "cool" i heard someone like "wale is WHACK" and i was like i totally agree with this mfers opinion look over, and it was earl. LOL
Absolutely resonate with dude. When I was in highschool my mom was taking care of 4 kids by herself and I grew up a skater, stoner and class flunker. My mom couldn't control me and she allowed the school's judicial system to take matters into their hands, was sent to a rehab hours away from home because I kept smoking bud on probation at 16. When I came back to school my girl had moved on and I was a laughing stock. Earl was probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite artist after Wayne and Cudi lol. I've been through some shit man, two mental hospitals on separate occasions for the mental breakdowns. I dunno why I'm typing all this shit. Dude just reminds me of a time when I was in a Terrible place but made it through. I'm a happy man these days and I'm glad he's still willing to do stuff like this interview. Thanks Montreality and this dude's family for all they've done. Always inspiring.
I remember I took way too much Acid at age 16 and I went and sat in a corner listening to Earl Sweatshirt, the mans guided me in the right direction. What he's about really comes from a deeper place than most.
“03 mama rockin Liz Claiborne had her stressin up the wall playing Mary j songs, rainy day came couldn’t rinse the stains off, long way to go we already came far”
I become more of a fan with every interview I see with Earl Sweatshirt. He’s just such a like-able guy on top of the fact that he’s such an incredible rapper.
The coding on myspace was the coolest shit, when I was in 8th grade I had a whole System of a Down themed myspace page 😎 Neopets too, that shit had me learning HTML when I was like 10 years old
wow yall have no idea how happy i am about this, my favorite interview channel with my favorite rapper of all time, high school me would go absolutely insane
myspace def was my first introduction to coding, first reason why i got into photoshop to make those type of “rapper” backgrounds with the banners, have the coding to the banner links match the words and hen you clicked on them
The “smell a bit weird” with the life at 86 question killed me because of the old “old people faces smell weird” quote he said before can’t remember when though
This man is the king of zero fucks. Even when he gets asked awkward shit he just keeps it real. Hes just got that heavy chill vibe about him. It's almost tranquilizing listening him talk about his favorite cartoons as a kid.
