So here we have the 2nd Breakdown vid.
I know CORC had wanted to see all these Cassettes in detail, but he had these 3 as his most wanted. I figured I would do them all on the same vid.
The awesome condition of these Tapes are on full display here. Look at the way the Gravediggaz booklet snaps back shut. It’s like most of these Tapes were hardly ever messed with. I remember a lot of people leaving Tape Cases at home, and just keeping a pile of Tapes in their car or in front of their stereo. But with these, even the Cassettes themselves are in superb shape. Very little wear on most of them!!!

I figured that Dare Iz A Darkside by Redman would come in a red cassette shell because the jewel case on the OG CD pressing came red, too. Beautiful. It's also my favorite album of his which most people disagree with. The Gravediggaz one is also really awesome. It's shocking that they are all in excellent condition. It really boggles my mind.

I know. The condition of these are near perfect. You see how that booklet recoils like that?!? I’ve only ever seen Brand New Tapes do that. A few of my personal tapes from my childhood are tighter feeling but they don’t do that! I wondered about that RedMan Cassette Case too. Cause the CD Case was definitely Red, right? Like for instance, a band I listen to named Bile always had the Green color cases, whether they were Cassettes or CDs. Even that Collective Soul Cassette that I featured in the beginning of the original video had the Cassette and CD both with that Yellowish Orange Case. I think it was meant to make it stand out and give the booklet a different color look when it was in the case. It seems like a lot of the reissue Cassettes that have popping up over the last few years are making the Cassettes themselves unique Solid Colors.

@@Glokas7 Yeah, i been buying my fair share of new cassette tapes for the past few years and the colored cassette shells seem to have made quite a return. They don't add anything to the listening experience but it's a neat little gimmick and it's conversational. Same with vinyl. A lot of records that are popping up these days, especially in the underground scene, no matter the genre, come with colored records. I love it, man. Like i said, they don't add anything to the music itself but they're fun to look at.

CORC aka Creator Of Raw Content - Absolutely, I’m the same way. They don’t add anything extra musical wise, but they do add a certain collectible edge to them. Some of the new Vinyl has some amazing Presses. Splatter patterns and everything. I have some nice old vinyl left from when I was a kid. Die Warzau, Skinny Puppy, Salt N Pepa, Depeche Mode, and quite a few others. Great records all around.

@@Glokas7 Exactly. I also heard colored vinyl is supposed to sound worse but i can't tell the difference. It doesn't even make sense to me because it's made out of the same material as black vinyl so i don't know how that's supposed to be the case. It all depends on how the audio is mastered and everything. It's really cool to have a limited colored pressing. It's nice to know that you have something not a lot of people have. Even if some colored records are more common, like the Run The Jewels albums, they're still beautiful to look at when they're spinning on the turntable, especially when they have such an incredible full sound.

CORC aka Creator Of Raw Content - WOW. I never knew that was a thing. About the Colored Vinyl playing differently. I know certain music, like electronic music types, plays a bit better with Diamond Needles. I actually just picked up an inexpensive Turntable. It’s one the ones that has a built In speaker, has Bluetooth functionality and (most important to me) allows you to record your Vinyl to USB or SD cards. There is nothing like a Vinyl Copy Of something. I have this Rare Front Line Assembly record from the late 80s. It’s Industrial. Was a Live show they did and only 4,000 copies were pressed. I recorded it to Cassette years ago when I had a full Stereo set up (TurnTable, Dual Cassette, 3 Disc), and the copy isn’t that bad honestly. But when I did a test recording with this new player, MAN, it blew the other one away. I also tested another song I knew well and it destroys the Digital Streaming music quality. Nothing else compares to Vinyl really. I was thinking about doing a bit of a review on the TurnTable for my Channel since it’s actually wayyyyy better than I thought it would be. I figured the build quality would’ve been cheap as hell, but surprisingly it isn’t. The features it has are well worth what I paid. Recently doing this stuff with the Cassettes has made me really step back and enjoy all the physical Media I have. Most of the stuff I have, I got when I was young. It all holds a special place.

Yeah man, these tapes are something else! I still cannot believe I found these. I get that a lot of people don’t realize that cassettes are collectible. But this was definitely someone’s cherished collection.

The Raekwon original is always worth a solid chunk of cash. It’s highly collectible and always In Demand. It will never drop in value, it’ll only increase.
