Early Bird - Episode 54 | Erkenci Kus
Erkenci Kus (English title: Early Bird) is a Turkish-made romantic comedy series by Gold Film.
Sanem (Demet Özdemir) is a girl who works in her father's grocery store and is loved by everyone. But her family tells her that she will marry if she can't find a job. Sanem starts working in an advertising agency to avoid getting married. But she doesn't know what awaits her in her new job. The manager of his company is the handsome, intelligent and cultured Can (Can Yaman). Since Sanem always manages to get into trouble, this situation attracts Can's attention and a great love story begins.

I see a lot of fans are angry at Can but I think they're all missing the point. My 2 cents: Can is a self-sufficient successful man whose righteousness cannot be disputed and comes naturally to him. And he expects everyone to be the same. The writers have dropped breadcrumbs as to the origin of this morals and I think it has to do with his mother and something she did to their family (Just like in Dolunay). But it's his extremely high standard that becomes his undoing when he opens his heart to a woman who loves live and is faced with the reality that life isn't about his standards. I think this series has a more original "moral of the story" than most soap operas. I haven't yet fast forwarded to the ending, so I'm hoping for some great news later because duh! This is a soap opera!🤞🏿 Logic aside, now to emotions: I want to knock Emre's teeth down his throat, pull out Aylin's hair, slap Leyla so hard and taser-shock Can to Galapagos.

From the various things I"ve read, she was with Can during this series but they broke up near the end . This caused the series to end a season early. Good people are toxic all the time. Can, who is inherently and generally a good kind person, is currently exhibiting highly toxic behavior. Still, it is important to remember that as viewers we know the whole story and have all the information but the characters in the story only have the information they are told, see and/or hear.

1) The only person I feel for is Sanem. Yes she has been stupid & naive. But the way she is being constantly played around by Leyla, Emre, Aylin and how Can wouldn't even spare two seconds to actually listen to her.. Its painful to watch 2) Can is so disgusting to throw such taunting remarks on Sanem's face in such a degrading manner. He questioned her character previously too. That's the most spineless thing a man can do. There is nothing romantic about this! Sanem deserves better!

I feel for Sanem for having such a shitty sister. But, I feel terrible for Can because the one person he trusted to be honest with him, lied to him in the worst way and being that this is his first love, he is unsure of how to act. The Can before he met Sanem seems to be cool headed but it’s seemed this new emotion he is feeling has caused him to become unhinged, emotional and highly unprofessional. In terms of Can questioning her character, it is because of the information that he has. If you remember, when Emre first told Can about the money, Can said, Sanem would never take money to help him but she did, whether she was tricked or not. Since that notion is true, to Can, anything is possible with her. Don’t forget, she had been lying to him since the beginning and Fabbri also made it seemed like him and Sanem has been in contact since the party, so anything is possible in Can’s mind. And then her birthday, Both Can and Sanem are unaware that Aylin and Fabbri planned everything so his anger is also valid there too.

43:24 I am glad that Can overheard CeyCey and Sanem's conversation, CeyCey admitted his role in believing Guliz. Now Can knows that she really was telling the truth about the party and the dress. 44:28-45:15 Ayhan did the right thing, a true friend will tell you hard truths whether you want to hear them or not. If you lose a friend because you tell the truth they were not a friend to start with.

In this epipod I hate Layla for being part of her sister's anguish, knowing she can fix the problem, but she is selfish and conniving, if she falls for Emre's lies and traitorous plots, they deserves each other. And I hate Can, he is acting tough, not long ago he told Sanem not to be afraid to talk to him, but when she tries, he never listen to her. He never gave her a chance to explain, he never loved her enough. And he lies and keeps secrets. Sanem is a little innocent fish in a tank full of sharks.

Loose translation on many occasions makes scenes less deep and profound. When she tried explaining about the party and the dress, he called her "Another" in the end. The writers should have let Sanem leave for awhile.. so Can would know what it feels like to be without her. Plus she needs to play little hard to get. Make Can work a little harder to get her. Can should have known she wouldn’t have done him that way!!
