Yeah Rope Dropping happens at every park for us because we only get to go once every couple of years. It’s important for us to get on some rides before park open so we can take our time after lunch. We were able to Rope Drop Frozen, Ratatouille, and Soarin’ the last time we were there- all before park open! 🎉

The reason it isn't super crowded yet is because the kids in the northeast and other places just got out of school last week. Also, video on the bathroom is not cool.

I would rope drop get the rides out of the way and then use the rest of the morning time for walking around the countries when it’s not as hot or crowded

If you have early entry for Epcot, I highly suggest entering through the entrance at the back next to France! Especially if you’re the type of person who will be there before early entry officially starts. That has been the only way I have been able to walk onto Remy and Frozen back to back. It’s definitely worth it especially since if you can knock those rides out before park opens, you don’t need Genie+ for Epcot.

We stayed at the dolphin last weekend and this is literally what we did on Saturday morning, after getting a frozen LL at 7am for the 9:40-10:40am window, we walked from dolphin to International Gateway, there was a decent line already there and almost of them had the same plan we had to get to ratatouille on rope drop, we were done with ratatouille/frozen/ Elsa Ana meet and greet by 10:30am, had the rest of the day for Character Dining as well as other Character Meet and Greets for our 3 year old

I roped dropped at Epcot last Saturday and we entered through the France Pavillion, the entire crowd infront of me went directly to Ratatouille, to my present surprise the line moved really fast and we were on Ratatouille after 30 min

We did Epcot on Sunday of this past week, which I think is one of the best days to hit the parks! We got in line for Frozen around 10am and it said 45 minutes, and it was maybe 20 minutes.

With kids… rope dropping epcot is 100% worth it! We didn’t rope drop epcot on our last trip and we waited almost 2 hours just for Frozen. So definitely worth it with kids haha

depends on what you plan on doing for your day. My family rope dropped Epcot to get on a couple rides we missed on our Epcot day, and I was able to get 9am for LL on Guardians - then we left and went to Blizzard Beach, so rope drop was worth it.

For Epcot, I think you definitely need to enter from the gateway at the back of the park. Epcot is def a park to sleep in, but I still love the early morning in the parks. There’s nothing like it.

Kyle, You finally ended your 9 blog streak of not riding Frozen. Magic Kingdom, would still be the best with Hollywood Studios a close 2nd. TRON, #1 pick for rope drop next year when the virtual queue will likely get removed. #2, Everyone still tries to rope drop RISE; if it’s not down, lightning lane is too expensive. Epcot doesn’t have enough rides. Everyone tries to package it after studios. Animal Kingdom, rope dropping is popular when they have special events going on and the park always closes early since they are more so a day park. For Epcot, it’s always best to wait for deluxe Magic hours for hotel guests.

I was at Epcot 2 months ago and was in the back by France.. they let us on the park at 7:45… started running ratatouille at 8am!!! We were done and off of frozen soarin and ratatouille by 8:45 lol

Getting to park at 7 not getting on ride till almost and hour and half later to only "wait" in an eight minute line? Feels like spending an extra $500 to save $10 bucks. Still waited over an hour for Frozen just not in the queuem

Rope dropping in the summertime is smart for visitors or locals. The heat at noon and beyond is crazy. I would rather hit my favorite attractions early on and hide in air conditioned areas later in the day.

Rope drop is not as fun as it used to be. And older gentleman with a stroller and no baby tried to push me out of the way while we waited for rope drop. He did so by pushing his stroller into my leg. He was not there for most of the morning in about five minutes before rope trap he suddenly appeared. My guess is that he pushed his stroller into everybody’s legs and made them move and then got in front of them. Once I yelled at him to please stop three times, he moved and then I saw him doing it to a teenager. Then he came back and tried to get in front of me for seven dwarfs mine train. I edged him out in a cast member told him to go park his stroller before getting in line. I wanted to yell “ha ha” like a child, but I didn’t.

Aren’t we spending time waiting in line either way. Either in the queue for ride later in the day or the time spent from arriving to waiting for the rope to drop. I’m a morning person - unless I’m on vacation. I’ve just now accepted setting my alarm on Disney trips for the seven o’clock virtual queues. (Just my two cents).

My family just came back from a trip to Disney for are epcot day we was second in line for Remys for early rope drop. Also for a Hollywood studios day we went in a halt hour early they did not stop us anywhere. We walked straight onto rise of the resistance and 2 walk on for smugglers run

I rope dropped Epcot last time for Soarin and the space 220 lounge and then got a lightning lane for Remy’s! We spent the rest of the day relaxing and even took a midday break before the fireworks! I feel like you absolutely don’t have to rope drop Epcot though!

Rope drop videos are always a good time, even if it ultimately wasn't needed. Starbucks being a "walk on" made me chuckle; it's probably only a matter of time before there IS a Starbucks ride at a theme park somewhere. There probably ARE better parks to rope drop, but getting to walk through Epcot before bigger crowds start pulling in is always nice. Your Test Track car looks like it has a fun group; they were totally into the ride - always a plus! The concrete update was very.. random. All together, another light, fun video, which is what I'm looking for in the mornings!

Well I stayed at beach club and we wake up early anyway and was literally in the building closer to back Epcot entrance and we rope dropped and loved it. We got on Remy in no time then crepes and champagne and then just relaxed ate in Canada at lunch at le Cellier then genie for Soarin back to the hotel in minutes. Walked to Flying Fish on the Boardwalk for Dinner then a leisurely walk back to Epcot for fireworks and back to Beach Club was literally the best!!!! And walking around Japan and Italy completely alone after rope drop after Remy was so delightful!!!!

For Remy or frozen rope drop is a good idea. In general going early is a great idea in the heat. It's hot to be early or night time. Midday is so hot.

I mean if you feel like it, why not? I personally would rope drop but go to the Remy's side then head to Frozen and carry on from there. Once Guardians ditches the virtual queue, then I'll rope drop in the front but that'll be a while.

EPCOT is a half day (or less) park for us. We rope drop, get the rides in for the kiddos then leave. We will get a nap in; then either do some pool time, or Disney springs.

We rope drop every park every trip. Epcot entrance thru International Gateway go straight to Remy then Frozen and both rides before park opens. HS usually has early entry every time we walk on RoR sometimes twice. Disagree on your opinion about rope drop Epcot. Gets popular rides at rope drop to enjoy booth foods and countries.

I think rope dropping is worth it to get the biggest rides out of the way. It's also good if you're not there for that much time because you can get ahead of the crowds. Otherwise I do like sleeping in and stacking LLs for later in the day as well.

You often suggest ppl not rope drop test track and use a single rider line. That's a great suggestion if you're a single person or in a group of adults. But most are with families with kids so that's not the best option for them.

Always always rope drop. That is what I always say. It does make a huge difference when you can hopefully get on two rides before the park opens to regular guests. I refuse to stand in line longer than 30 minutes. My time is important and I want to see and do everything I can in a day.
