Pretty close on witch one is better .I have not found any Perch here in Kansas sense I moved to Kansas .

What a sweet dog.

Yellow perch and walleye are both in the family Percidae. Taste is so similar I doubt its worth worrying about. Blind test might not even be able to tell the difference.

I couldn’t tell you witch is better between the perch and walleyes because I’ve never caught a big enough perch to fillet out to eat!! I did catch two or three perch last ice season but they were only like 4” to 6”!! I’d like to get at least a 10” to 12” one to eat!!! But blue gills I always hated having them steal my worms and have to catch like at least 20 of them for one person to get a belly full!! But we have a pond that only two of us can fish and for the past 3 to 4 years we have been ice fishing it and just pulling some tanks out of it!! We have 3 or 4 of them in the freezer that were 2lbs4oz and another at 2lbs6oz!!! They are definitely going on a stringer mount along with a couple other really nice catches that we might get!! I’ve never seen such big blue gills and most don’t believe us until they see them in person!!! Definitely some really nice blue gills in that pond along with some nice crappies!! We have definitely been taking the bass out because there is way too many of them things in there!!! I definitely can’t weight to see some of your really cool catches this ice season for sure!!!!! I’m all ready to go just weighting for some ice to come here in Iowa!!!!!
