Appreciate you bringing up the fact that Tinker brought MJ back into the Nike fold. Some, like Sean Collard, continue to misinform the younger generation with ideas like MJ was never going to leave Nike. Sean Collard a teacher from Canada whom you follow on Twitter was on a recent podcast with Marco Negrete of Sole Savy stating that MJ wasn’t ever thinking of leaving Nike after the AJ2. I’m glad you cleared that up as well as that MJ did not like the AJ2. Misinformation and refusal to bridge the gap between this generation and the true OG’s that wore the iconic kicks is why shoes like the Cardinal 7 have received no love and sit on shelves. Hypebeasts (new word for me) are going to kill this shoe like it was done on the L&F’s and the recent Chicago 2 for all the wrong reasons but like you said everyone has their grails for their own reasons. Thank you for teaching this old dude a thing or two about humility and please keep doing you when it comes to keeping the correct history of these beloved kicks going.
Love the new setup. My opinion on these is kinda meh, I truly hate the aged new sneakers look, I want that age to come as I wear em, pre-aging shoes is some hipster shit to me honestly. Let the patina come in and age naturally with each scuff telling a story. Idk that's just me, I do own a pair of L&Fs and I'm NGL they look even worse after a couple of wears lol.
