The developers are still concentrating on sim development rather than town builds. We want to create our world, build our hospitals, place lots where we want to…. More like sims 3.

It would be really good if The Sims 2 animations were in The Sims 4

Im excited for the goth, medieval kit and ranch pack....i think the sims team are hinting at the Caliente "Alien" backstory thats probably why we got the Caliente "new look" because Katrina is cloned haha, 👽so im hoping for a future Alien pack and more of Bella goth back story in the sims 4 especially as they're the orginal characters...i just want more Alien stuff 👽

I feel like there may be a throwback pack or update with stuff from previous sims games! Are there any major anniversaries coming soon? Could be the time to drop it!

I’ve been asking for landlines for like FOREVER now ! It would make the ranch gameplay and country living so much more realistic.

I grew up playing sims 4 and I got almost emotional watching this. I recently redownloaded the sims and purchased a bunch of packs I used to have and packs that I never heard of! This is so exciting

Tbh i could see them adding landlines with the horse ranch pack because small towns keep in touch. Maybe someone calls you with gossip. Maybe its a way for you to, while youre playing other packs, be drawn back into the town lore if you place the item down (kinda like how they have the popups for star wars and for the cottage living pack)

I wonder if they will bring back the different grape vine types they had in sims 3 for the nectar

So far it sounds like they are bringing back more if a sims 2 animations! Where you can actually see what is happening instead of just a moodlet

I really wish they would put deaf/mute sims, or at least simlish sign language, like they would learn it on school and improve on it to communicate to other deaf/mute sims, idk how they would code this but I can only dream

Sometimes I play the sims 3 just to feel nostalgic with the old landline phones and old school TV’s. Imagine if the sims 5 had some throwback stuff or even a timeline option where you could hop around to different eras 🥲

I mean as fun as landlines would be for some build styles that in players story take place in the past it's also supposed go be like the 2020's in sims 4 and landlines in 2020 are slowly dying out in replace of cellphones. I personally have never bought a landline phone. The last time I saw my grandparents buy a landline phone was back in the 2000's

Hope they make it so you can interact with doors and windows like keeping them open. Would be nice. Tired of having cool archways that are also cool doors but because they dont close and open when you use them. Like no one keeps their padio doors open all the time. And that desert luxe door/arch way is gorgeous but they dont friggin close!

It’s cool to have CAS options for the future horses, but household sizes are going to go way down. We need to have larger household sizes in general, or there needs to be a separate pet household

I'm unbelievably excited, but I'm also a lifelong horse boy who also now has a kid who's a sims fan and a horse girl. I may be an outlier with how hype I am for this.

I asked my best friend who's been an animator for 10 years, how hard is it to animate a horse. His response; "Way harder than animating a human, but easier than a dragon"

My only thought process was one hoping that when they changed the hair color on project Renee really hoping that was teasing the color wheel coming back. Two with the land line maybe we're getting an 80s or 90s kit. Bummed on waiting for the goth kit but looking forward to everything coming out

I am really excited about horses! I think on the surface it might not seem like a lot of gameplay, but when you actually get into it, its going to be more than anyone expects.

The animation team is going all out for the infants first an now the horses and I love it!!!

Landlines would probably let you pick up the phone for other sims in the house. And… possibly listen in on calls as another sim 👀 (though I HIGHLY doubt they’d implement something like that)

I really hope they learned their lesson with beginning of the sims 4 and sims 5 basegame is good and a full game on its own upon release. I know micro transactions/dlc are inevitable but i don't want to have to buy a bunch of packs for the game to feel complete and i def don't want to have to wait years for pools and toddlers lol

I hope they have actual build mode music, kind of like Roblox Bloxburg, maybe even have different ones for day and night instead of songs that aren’t really unique

People have been complaining that the only focus on kits, and now they're pushing kits for next year, maby that means more time for expansions, gamepacks, and stuff packs, you should all be happy, it is what you wanted them to do. (tho i wish somethign as important as goth fashion and medical castles were atleast stuffpacks) Also Im glad she swore, they're way to cutesy usually, need some realism here. also the world you're looking for is "place holders" when it comes to the "prototype" your talking about .

are we gonna be able to do Dressage which is a form of horse riding performed in exhibition and competition, as well as an art sometimes pursued solely for the sake of mastery and Cross Country racing which is an equestrian sport that sees rider and horse tackling a long course with jumps and other obstacles designed to simulate riding at speed across the countryside. with these new pets of ours other then show jumping and barrel racing

it kind of seemed to me that project rene was more about updating mechanics of sims games in general rather than creating a new game. but this is the first time i heard about it at all so i’m probably confused lol

I actually got so excited for the Sims 5 when I saw the short clip of the sim getting mad and the sim across from them gripping their coffee cup to their chest like they were scared. THAT is the type of magic that was missing from the sims 4 and made it feel so dead.

People who were in kindergarten when sims 4 released are going to grow up and graduate highschool before sims 5 comes out. Wild.

the biggest let down for me is that the horses count towards the 8 sim limit. Makes it hard to have a "ranch" if you want a couple, two children, a dog, that leaves room for 3 horses....

I think The Sims will be really amazing in the future, will the real AI, more and more realistic graphics, it can make people experience so many different lives

One thing I'd really like to see in Sims 5 is reactive interactions from the Sims. For example if someone gets mad, i want my Sim to have options to tell them to calm down, comfort them, or to be triggered by their anger. I know this exists to an extent in the Sims 4 but not nearly enough. I want my Sims to be protective of other Sims or feel mad at someone who treats my Sim friend poorly. That interaction is ehat is lacking most in Sims 4 in my opinion.

Sorry to be that person but I'd really like to know what EA thinks justifies putting this into an expansion pack for 40 bucks?! When we had cats, dogs, horses and many more animals (rodents, birds, snakes, lizards, turtles, even deers!!!) in Sims 3 in *one* pack for 40 bucks. I don't get it. What exactly do they think is worth all this money? Is there any key feature I'm missing here?

I really wish they would just take the best things from Sims 2 and 3 and put it in the world of The Urbz. Anyone remember that one? That game had the BEST city feel of any Sims title. It felt like you were genuinely living in that world as a young adult trying to earn a reputation in the city. Sims 2 detail & gameplay with Sims 3 color palettes and open world, plus The Urbz actual city world and mini-games If EA weren't in the picture, but you had the same big budget and all the original developers from the 2000s era with the passion they had, this could happen. Of course, it won't, but i'll keep dreaming about it lol
