I’m a Vols fan , but we have not yet played a decent team. NC State is not good at all and the other two were a joke. OU is a good team, so this will be UT first real test. It’s reasonable to expect TN to win, but I honestly have clue how it will turn out, nor does anyone else for that matter. That’s why we play the game. Should be a good one.

an actual none homer OU fan take here. i think if tennesee is clicking on all levels on offense they will score between 30-39 on offense. this OU defense will not allow over 40 points scored unless there like multiple pick 6s. now can OU match that and score in the 30s? well right now i have to say no. jackson would need a near perfect day for that to happen. he needs to read stuff faster, because he will have no time to stay in the pocket with james MF pearce coming off the edge. it would help us a TONE if nick and andrel and branson get back on the field. it will probably make it a touchdown closer. however if they dont return i expect the score to be around 37-24 tenesee. i think nico has shown some flaws. i beleive he threw 2 picks against NC state. if he does that aginst oklahoma, and jackson stays clean then i think OU has a real shot at winning. tennesee will not be able to run well like they have been. were too deep at DT and LB for them to average 7YPC. nico will have to win the game himself. but be careful tennesee, right now you are FEELING YOURSELF AND HAVE CONFIDENCE, ALMOST TO MUCH. dont be cocky because OU shows up for big games. seeing the tennesee fan base in the comment makes me think they are a little cocky. a little too loose IMHO.

One big factor to the game I feel like no one is mentioning is the familiarity the coaches have with each other. Venebles and Heupel were at OU together for a long time and know each other well. Even Tennessee’s OC was Sam Bradford’s backup at OU. All worked and played under Stoops. I think that could make this game closer than people expect.

I think by halftime the VOLS winning will be clear. VOLS aren't going to back off this time. You'll see everyone in for almost the whole game as we rotate around. He is going to lean on them until the end and put up every point we can to make OUR point. Time to put some actual fear in our opponents going forward, where we have hidden our true capability after giving them a bit to practice and stretch their wings. People like Pierce, Nico, WRs, Sampson, etc are going to put up real numbers.

I think people believe the 2022 Vols 11-2 season was a fluke due to last years out come with Joe Milton going 9-4. But I’m 100% positive that that was a gap year and we officially have had 3 full years with huepel. These are his guys this is a new era undoubtedly with the way Tennessee can run the football. I see Oklahoma is a slightly better version of NC state. Arnold has less experience in the collegiate level as McCall for NC State and he's probably a more polished passer but both have played very few FBS foe. One is a newcomer, and McCall played in the FCS. We don't know how good the secondary is for OU. They have never seen a tempo spread offense, and haven't beaten a team this good on either side of the ball as TN is. Line play is a concern for OU. OU will need to be able to run the ball on TN to win and score over 40 imo. So far, that level of offense has not showed up for OU this season. But a key to beat TN is prevent TN's run and be able to run on them but TN's scheme makes this very difficult to accomplish, at least both because they spread you wide and they go tempo and don't allow you to sub for a lot of snaps. I see this as a 2 plus score win for TN. Not a knock on OU but the kind of offense they need to beat TN or keep up, so far OU hasn't shown us anything like that. The D will tire for OU having to defend that much ground without subbing and that's when TN beats you over the top or running the all. It's not a air raid offense, it's a ground pound but good elite in putting the ball up also. Look forward to this game! Welcome to the SEC OU!

Vegas is almost always spot on with point spreads and they have this game with Tennesse being a 7 point favorite so even though the performances of both teams so far this year are very different it's going to be a close game that comes down to a few plays here and there. OU is getting some players back offensively and a big part of their issues has been injuries. The Sooner defense is actually pretty dang good so far and is forcing some turnovers. I wouldn't count OU out just yet.

Oklahoma better score off the start bc TN defense gets better every drive. Only success I've seen against first team defense is first few drives. After that they shut it down. Pili and Carter at LB, with TeaBagger as well, are serious.

A good test for both. Tennessee has the advantage. OU came to the SEC to ramp up in competition, this is a part of that. Win lose or draw, they have to play to get where they want to get to. Tennessee went through it's rough years, now it is playing good ball. The same with Ole Miss, and some others. OU will make the transition, but they have to earn it. Looking forward to the game, and getting an honest look under the hood of our Sooners. OU isn't near done building what it is to become. Most of the focus has been on defense, so, the Offense will need some tweaking going forward along with the Defense.

I’m a Big OU fan but we lost 5 OL Players and with injuries we are playing 2nd & 3rd string guys. We are on our 3rd center on offense so I’m not thinking by any means OU will win this game. I am sticking to TN by 7 or possibly by 14 win. I have respect for OK. TN d-line will expose any issues OK had on offense line. Everything i have heard is OK has a solid defense. I do think possibly lower scoring game like a 28-14 or something like it.

I think Oklahoma will load the box and make Nico beat them passing. OK has a good defensive backfield so Tennessee will have to really play their best. On the other hand if Tennessee puts has some success they are probably the best in the NCAA at exploitation of match ups. SO......I think its going to be a crazy game IMO. I say Vols 27-13. I can see OU scoring off a turnover and a pair of field goals. I bleed Orange but still havent got alot of confidence in Tennessee on the road after sc 2 years ago and mizzou last year. Our defense i think holds early and our offense manages enough firepower to pull away later in the game.

I think.Heupel proves a point that maybe Mark was the person to fire back then. Heupel drops 50 plus on them. I think TN defense gives up their first TD in 4 games in first quarter then maybe 2 field goals. TN 56-13 OK. TN has 550 yards of total offense, Oklahoma has 270. Crowd isnt a factor after a 28 point first quarter. GBO

I hate gambling, so I tend to disdain scoreline predictions, but suffice it to say that I'm not expecting Okie to score more than 20 points. If the Vols have trouble, I'm expecting it to be in the form of Iamaleava's inexperience playing in front of a hostile crowd of Oklahoma's caliber. It's not something he's had to deal with yet. To that effect, look for Heupel to try to impose the run game via Sampson and Bishop early and often, with NIco's arm complementing them, rather than the other way around.
