A ride to celebrate our friend Pruitt just the way he would want us to.
The words are excerpts from Pruitt's last blog on Myspace. Truly inspirational words, just as intended.
As far as the riding goes, I feel like I get a little faster everytime. I know that if I keep reaching and pushing for the pavement I'm eventually going to find it. and i know that when i do it's going to hurt. but if you actually ride with me you know, I don't ride out of control. everytime I want to turn it up and go that much faster. I think of everything I have at home. My family My friends and My girl. and i realize that its just me. doing what i always do,pushing for that limit, For some strange reason i have to push for it. I need to be on the edge. I don't wanna die. I don't want to get hurt. but i need it. I need to feel that rush, when I toss my leg over it and fire it off. i know that this one may be my last. But I never think of stopping. If you love something you have to be willing to die for it.
Now, I know it sounds like i have a death wish but hear me out. You must accept that you have no control over your death. realize that life is short and sweet you must cherish every second. because around that next corner may be the man in the hood waiting at the apex.and you must choose to tuck twist and hit it with your best. or back out.. slow down and wait for the man in black to take you home... I don't want to slip slightly through life just to arrive safely at death, I'd rather come in sliding scraped,broken and bruised yelling fuck me what a ride....
So Far in my life I have overdosed once,laid in intensive care after rolling a truck 5 times, broken several bones,callapsed lung,the list goes on. I have also fallen from the sky for 2and a half min. flying around clouds and living a dream i have had for years. I have jumped off 900ft tall bridges into the dead still chilled air of october into what may be the most beautiful valley's in the world. I have hung from the bottome of a hellicopter at 5000ft just to let go and play tag with my friends. I have hit upwards of 160mph down a lonely stretch of road. and blazed thru corners at speeds that would make most people faint. but its all a day in the life. Its a part of me. love it or hate it. its who i am. Will i ever completely settle down? only time will tell but I'm really loving the way things are going these days and wouldnt have it any other way. Life is good and i have no regrets. and in my opinion thats all a man can ask for.
I hope that this inspires whoever reads it to pay a little more attention to lifes little pleasures. Look up at the stars once in a while, watch a bird fly and see animals playing. and realize life is not as complex as we try to make it. I can only wish that my next 20 years will bring as many good times and experiances and stories as the first.
