Congrats on the Pass, that's amazing! So happy that you and your dad can ski together so much. Our parents didn't ski, I'm the oldest and my brothers ski too. We have skied some but because a big age difference they have skied together more than I have been with them. But family ripping together is the best!

Even when your ski boots are comfortable and you've just had a great day of skiing and just when you think your day can't get any better, you take your boots off and experience a whole nother feeling of joy and relief and comfort 😂. We get rewarded with great views. Good times skiing and an awesome feeling when we take our boots off!
Man this makes me feel like an old man to say, but future you is gonna look back on that b-roll of your dad carving down the hill and just get allll the feels. Wish I had more stuff like that of my old man.

Wow a lot of early season obstacles for sure yeah the bird was my favorite place ever of all the places I skied there was nothing like the bird nothing beats their snow and terrain
Congrats man. My buddy works for the bird. They are like a big family and they take care of each other. I am sure they really appreciate all the love you have shown Snowbird over the years. That was honestly a proper hook up considering. Snowbird has and will gain even more Visitors from your channel.

My son asked if I saw a guy in yellow on the bird's opening last Thursday. Then he showed me your video. (Just subscribed. ) I was there this day as well. Very, VERY well done vids! I was skiing vicariously with you guys while watching this. You're so lucky to ski with your Papa. I grew up here in a very dysfunctional family: I'm the only skier. Thankful my dad drove me and my buds up and down the Cottonwoods until we could finally drive! May our every ski day be better than expected...

Yep, definitely some good vert at the bird. What I never quite get is how some of these guys are getting 50k+ vert in a day. I have been people at Keystone and Mammoth and it amazes me.
Keystone today 8 runs 12,251 vert and only 21 degree slope so not as good. Snow felt like my home snow in PA too. Oh well it was a work trip so at least I got paid to learn not to come in early December l😂

I was interested in the Cardo Packtalk Outdoors. I saw that they sponsored one of your videos.. is there a reason you don’t still use them when skiing with people, such as in this case with Papa Joe?
Joe was rippin after the binding adjustment. Update on the knee still hurts like hell MCL not good I’m going trying skiing on it I’ll tape it for support. Time will tell might need a knee replacement
Great video Lucas! Papa Joe seems to be in good early season form. CONGRATS ON THE SEASON PASSES!!! You keep talking about 3,000 foot of vertical… at Zermatt (and many other places it’s possible to ski over 2,000 vertical meters NON STOP! I hope one day you get to experience that 😊⛷️
@@LucasCatania17 One big problem with off piste skiing in Europe… AVALANCHES! You need to go with a guide nearly 100% of the time. A must place for you is Verbier… great freeriding with very little avalanche threat. Check out videos of Mont - Gelé 😊⛷️
