Exquisite tutorial thank you Myrna. Beautifully described. Ive just learned so much in such a short video thanks to your excellent descriptions and undoubtable knowledge.
Very great detail, I appreciate the pointing out the differences between early and the Kent figures. This should be the go-to video to send to those auction houses that get it wrong. The Chinese repros are hideous as usual.
Thank you for your kind comments. Just last week I sent this video to a leading auction house that had catalogued two very obvious Kent figures as c1820. I first emailed to gently point out the error. Of course, they wanted to know HOW I knew, so I explained and sent the video. No response...but the listing was amended.
@@earlyantiquestaffordshirep1776 It's high time the auction world knows of your expertise, if that is the case. Then again, it depends on how reputable of a house it is, if they actually care. On one of your videos I watched last evening, youtube's top side suggestion to me were those giant ugly fake Chinese "Staffordshire" dogs, purportedly worth 5K. I saw this same video a couple or so years ago and know I commented on it then. It looks like she deletes comments because there were barely any there last night. I let it rip again all over the comments with links. I suppose I wasn't as kind as you but that is blatant deception I had no patience for, at least last night. She claims to be some kind of "appraiser". I told her what they were again and to stop misleading the public.
